I don't see why she wouldn't be there simply because she was a minor character. I mean look at Mokap ... that idiot had even less of a story and was a huge joke to boot... and he made it in. So if she's not there, I don't think it would have anything to do with her "small role". I think she should be in.

Mokap had twice the story of Chameleon in truth.

While I will concede that Mokap's story was written out much longer. I disagree.
Mokap's story was basically several long-winded and drawn out paragraphs that said. "This is Mokap. He is a motion capture worker. He helped make Johnny Cage's movies, and some video games."
Chameleon's "Story" was "This is Chameleon. He is one of Shao Kahn's Deadliest and most well-hidden warriors."
The only differance being, Chameleon's description came right out and said what he was in one sentance, and Mokaps was stretched out to make it seem longer, without really adding much at all.
Twice the words, yes. Heck, ten times the words, but not twice the story. I think they're about even personally, and I like Chameleon better because he has pretty colors, and at leats his one sentance tied in to what was going on within the grand scheme of the game. Mokaps was like a side story that didn't have much to do with anything.
But, to each his own. *Shrug*

Christ, I hope they kill off Mokap in a most cruel and unusual, and extended manner.... I want to see this twat ripped open and fed his own entrails and genitals.
Anyways... After learning more of her involvement in the storyline, and the potential she has, she might as well be throw into the mix.
Sareena made the cut, hell if she has ever been mentioned in the actual fighting games... to my knowledge... She might have a bigger role, but lets see Khameleon, I bet her new design and attributes would not dissapoint.

I see a lot of people talking about potential. Potential doesn't mean anything. Yes, she has potential to be a good character. But guess what? She also has potential to be a shit character. A character is nothing until they make them something. Jade was useless until they gave her an original look and personality. Same with Reptile, Rain, Smoke, Ermac, and a few others. All I have seen from Khameleon is that she is one of Reptile's race. They could make another centaur like Motaro. Does that immediately give that character a good story? I'm sorry for going on, I just don't see the appeal in this character.
As for who should make it into the game...I don't care. If mokap gets to be in, then it's pretty much open for anything.

Yeah i agree. I think the only reason theyre actually keeping Mokap was beause they already have the model for him anyway, all they have to do is just copy it straight to MKA. If they want Khameleon to be a real character they'll have to redo her entirely. Like, continued story, new look, everything. And maybe they dont think its worth it seeing as shes only ever appeared in one version of one MK game.
Asking for her to be in it is just being picky i believe. Shes never really had THAT much going for her

Her sisters Kia and Jakatta on the other hand, might not make the cut. Infact, chances are pretty damn slim. Because they weren't actually IN the fighting games. They were a part of "MK Mythologies: Sub-Zero." And if memory serves right, Boon stated that he had absolutely no say or input on that game, at all. And that it was made by a completely different division of Midway. Thus, Boon didn't work on MKMSZ at all. Knew about it. But didn't do any work on it.
It IS possible that Khameleon will be in MKA. Because she was in MK Trilogy for the Nintendo 64. But, so was Chameleon (the male version) as well. He was in the Playstation version of MK Trilogy. So were Motaro and Shao Khan.
The only difference between the two Motaros and Shao Khans in the home versions of Trilogy, is that Motaro and Khan had fatalities in the Nintendo 64 version, but didn't in the Playstation version. Why...I don't know. I think that was kind of a ripoff. Boss characters or not, they deserve fatalities as well. No matter what the system.
There are also rumors that Rain was in the arcarde version of UMK3. Afterall...he IS in the intro sequence seen fighting Mileena. But...he is infact NOT in the arcade version. So again, why he was put into the intro when not in the game...was beyond me.
Chameleon had absolutely no storyline whatsoever...
Khameleon on the other hand...she did.
Boon...clearly stated, "EVERY SINGLE PAST CHARACTER TO EVER THROW A PUNCH IN ANY MORTAL KOMBAT FIGHTING GAME, WILL BE RETURNING."
This means bosses. - playable
This means sub bosses. - playable
This means sub characters. - playable
This means pointless characters. - playable
This means hidden characters. - playable
This means popular characters. - playable
This means normal characters. - playable
This means every single character is going to be playable. And as Boon clearly stated, "SOME CHARACTERS NOT EVEN PREVIOUSLY PLAYABLE, WILL BE PLAYABLE."

That's really about it. Everyone else has eventually been playable in one game or another. Yes, Goro, Motaro, Khan, Kintaro, etc. They've all been playable before. In Trilogy for the Playstation.
And so was Chameleon.
Hell, even Rain was playable in Trilogy (and was awesome, might I add.)
Meat...I highly doubt will be a playable character. As cool as that would be, I just highly don't see that being possible. Meat had no official storyline. He had no ending in MK4, either. So him being in MKA is highly doubtful. But, we can hope. Possibly in Konquest, sure. But I highly doubt he'll be a playable character.
Monster...that's an iffy. All that really was, was Scorpion. But like revamped, and cooler looking (dare I say). So I also kind of doubt he'll be a playable character as well. Then again, I could be wrong.
For all we know, these characters could be ALTERNATE COSTUMES or UNLOCKABLES.
If you look at the promotional picture, quite a few characters aren't even on it. Look at it...
Where's Kitana? (Unless that's her next to Sindel and Johnny...with NO mask on, making it hard to tell whom she is.)
Where's Motaro? (Unless he was decided to be put into the game AFTER this promo picture was created.)
Boon said EVERY CHARACTER would make a return. They're probably still finalizing the roster right now. Because as we all well know...the game isn't going to be out for like...7 more months. They've got PLENTY of time to update the roster if they want to. That's over half a year away.
But don't get your hopes up too much. Because as we all remember all too well..."Super Unlockables" were supposed to be in MKD, and they weren't. This was due to deadlines if I remember correctly. So don't get your hopes up if C/Khameleon aren't in the game, nor is Meat, or any other character you can't spot on the poster (other than the confirmed Motaro).

Simply asking about their appearance in MKA (Chameleon, Khameleon and Meat) in the interview with Ed Boon could have set an end to all these discussions. However if both C/Khameleon characters should be in MKA they should kind of "morph/fuse" together into one character.
Having them seperated would just be stupid for upcoming mk titles.

Sareena was not in MKGold.
She was in Mortal Kombat Mytholiges: Sub Zero, and Mortal Kombat: Tournament Edition (which was an extension of the Deadly alliance storyline).
Its highly doubtful that Kia and Jataaka will make the cut, since they have pretty much no story, and what they do ahve of story is already finsihed. Bringing them back will only cause problems, as either they will ahve the same story, meaning a waste of a character place, or their story wont be finished correctly and will elave more questions than answers.
As for Khameleon, well I personally think she should be included in the game for completeness. She is defnintley her own character, and mentions of her in MKDA Konquest and Reptiles trading kard for MKD confirm this. (They dont however, mean anything about her being in the game).
I think they need Khameleon to bring the correct closure to not only her, but to Reptile. Also, theres possible hints at some kinda of connection with Nitara. This should be pursued IF indeed it was a connection and we didnt jump the gun.
If Khameleon does make the cut, i want her to look similar to Reptile in MK4, the cross between human and reptile. i designed a costume for Khameleon a while ago, and here is the thread here:
My Khameleon Design (The colouring is a bit dodgy but you get the idea. Also the end part of the tail is bigger than its meant to be lol a lot of people commented on that lol).

I feel it's pretty much a given that out of all the MK characters (all minor, mind you) not mentioned as appearing in MKA, Khameleon's got the best chance. The references are too much to ignore. She's got more of a story going for her than Chameleon, Meat, the MKM: SZ gods, and the MK:SF Black Dragon combined.
I wonder what kind of costume she would have. Everyone knows my stance concerning Reptile, but Khameleon in all likelihood probably wouldn't have de-evolved, so I think that something similar to Reptile's MK4 outfit would work best. I don't know if her uniform's color should be gray or transparent, though. Both sound good.
