You might say that Khameleon isn't very well-known. Neither are those three.
She's a legitimate part of the story.

I really need to know where this is stated. Not that I don't believe you, but I've heard this so many times and yet I've never seen an official word on it.

If Khameleon's in, I hope she looks reptilian, at least in her alt. appearance. And I don't mean "reptilian" like MK5 Reptile, I mean "reptilian" like MK4 Reptile.

As for the thing about everyone who has ever threw a punch, when thinking about that you would have to consider the wind, earth, and fire gods from Mythologies. Even though it wasn't a "fighting" mk game. The reason I bring this up, is I would definately be pissed if Khameleon didn't make it, wouldn't care about Chameleon, but I would also like to see Tremor. Since he was only in Special Forces, another "non-fighting" MK game. They have basically already introduced everyone else besides like Motaro, Khameleon, Stryker, Jarek, Reiko, Shinnok, and Sheeva in Deadly Alliance and Deception, and I know I have left a few out, but really thats only 10 or less who we haven't seen in 3d yet. So in theory, they would most likely add Khameleon, just for the fact that they need new characters to add to the 3d world of MK.

The sentence that you're referring to was between what Ed Boon had said, so it was really said by who ever wrote the article.
And here is the whole sentence as written in the Game Informer article so that people don't start asking why Kia, Jataaka, No Face, Tasia and Tremor aren't in the game (again): "To ensure that all of the loose ends are properly tied upm every character that has ever thrown a punch in a Mortal Kombat tournament will be suiting up for another round in Armageddon."

yep, that the thing about reading articles, people take what the magazine says as facts and just role with it.
things like that shouldn't be taken at face value.

E3 is in a week. Hopefully they'll clue us in. I'm a bit disappointed that no interviewer has asked Ed Boon yet. Seriously, this questions is all over forums and fansites. Give the people a voice, oppressors!

Meat, Chameleon no. Khameleon yes. She's the only character left with a bio and story, plus she was in an official "fighting game" which means you can't say every fighter in the MK fighting legacy without her.

Was he? Didn't even notice. But don't count them out! Motaro wasn't on the original cast render, so maybe they still have chance for a late appearance.

This is a long shot, but who knows. If memory serves correctly, Khameleon wasn't on the select screen for MK Trilogy (I know the PS1 Chameleon wasn't). So who says she'd be there now? Maybe you need to enter a code or tap buttons before a match starts or something. Yeah, it's a flimsy little bit of hope, but oh well.
That said, at least someone in Midway still remembers she exists, as they reference her in MKDA and MKD.

Actually yeah she's on the select screen in the N64 version, but you have to enter the code first.

Chances of her being in the game are very low. i'm thinking they might have been rumoring her around to build up a fan base for next gen were to me she's gonna appear. specially if reptile die's in MKA

well if khameleon isnt in, the game will be incomplete and it WOMT be all characters in anymore... (but then again, same with chameleon...)
i'm actually hoping chameleon is in more than i am hoping khameleon is in... i just like him better... of course, if they arent in ill definately make 'em both in KAK... i dont care what they/he/she looks like, lizard, human, semi-human... I DONT CARE! as long as theyre/he's/she's in the game, ill be satisfied... but i would much prefer it if they/he/she was semi-human kinda like reptile in MK4. yeah i hope they/he/she will be super-unlockables or watever, on the select screen or not... they NEED secret chars, thats one of the things that makes MK, MK! i mean, i was really disapointed when theyre was no real secret char in MKD... the closest to one were shujinko and liu kang... but as i said before if they arent in it, the game wont feel complete wont feel complete
