After MKM, the MK stories have not been great, MKDA had some decent stuff, but they didn't bring it together well. And yeah I agree, leave her dead or don't kill her. We need some good women too.

Yeah, I was loving the storyline of MK:Deception, until this point. This could just ruin the experience for me. Only because Kitana is such an part of the MK storyline, and now, they choose to butcher her character. This is like Johnny Cage all over again (One of the greatest characters ruined by a ressurection story). I love Ed Boon, and madly respect him for his work, but with this, he's made a TERRIBLE mistake.

Boon doesn't write the storylines.
John Tobias is to blame for killing/ressurecting Cage, Mileena, Scropion.
John Vogel for killing/ressurecting Kitana and possibly the others. He also tryed to change Cage's storyline to say he'd never died in DA, instead of giving him a good storyline. (boo!)

I agree with the whole resurrection thing. If they killed her off and resurrected her in the next MK then maybe it would be alright, but resurrecting her in the time span of a few hours is just lame and meaningless and honestly I’m quite disappointed with this sort of approach.
Well at least Sonya is the only original character to not have died in Mortal Kombat. I hope they don’t do the same to her.

Very true. So far, her Bio story is cool. There is no signs that she died and resurrcted, and lest hope it never happens.

Well, it does seem there are many fans upset by this news. It comes as no shock.

Kitana is the last character that should be killed and ressurected. It completely throws her story off. It just does'nt fit her character. She's like the princess of the story. She's also like an ancient juel. How someone could ruin her character (and the story) like that, I don't know. Whatever John Vogel is smoking, I'd stay away from it. I am furious >:0 over this news!

i agree killing her wasnt the brightest idea..but i cant see why many of you want kitana to be evil...i think thát doesnt fit her...mileena is the evil one, and they hate eachother to death..why make both evil...i still liked the story of mileena chasing after kitana and hating eachother..but im probably the only one
I'm still hoping kitana is playable, no matter what

Anyway, Kitana being evil is a good thing IMO. I only hope her story is not like an "evil Mileena" or "evil tanya" cause that will suck as bad as the resurrection.
Being one of the DK bodyguards is a big plus, I like that.

kitana isnt dumb,once she was resurrected she probably saw him standing there and bowed down before him..only to go behind his back like what she did to kahn..

YEAH i have a bad feeling that the mk team will have kitana or sindel kill 1 or the other.. ill be pissed off, since the 2 r my #1 (kitana) and #2 (sindel) favs..
on a side note,id ike to point out that, even if kitana story was about her trying to get into a bathroom to take a dump,but she had to fight her way ,to acomplish this task i'd be happy.. as long as she is in the game..lol

i am also fed up with all the resurrections. i thought that mkda was taking a new direction, finally adhering to a decision to kill someone off (why else go to the elaborate trouble of showing liu kangs death) and the storyline explained in konquest mode.
i thought characters like sheeva (killed by kahn who was informed of her intentions by kano)
goro (killed by noob) and everyone else that we were informed of being dead during konquest should remain dead (prior to all the ending hypotheticals)
as for kitana i dont really care, never was a favourite of mine but i see she is as much an mk staple as subby or scorp. so yeah the die ressurect thing was stupid.
the DK strikes me as someone who doesnt need a "general" coz he is such a bad ass on his own, why is he fashioned to fit the mould of the other mk bosses in that regard?

I think Sindel will only "die" and loose the crown.

So do I. I really hope they don't make her story about fighting against Sindel. Instead, they should phone all of the other available MK women and take turns beating the bloody hell out of Tanya.

I hope she really is under his control. I like the idea of him taking control of her by reawkening the evil and darkness in her soul. I think she'll break free from his control, before or after he's destroyed.
But I think she's going to do something unforgivable first, like kill Sindel or Jade(although I personally don't want them to die).

I don't want Jade or Sindel to die so soon either, but Kitana needs to do something so terrible and horrible while she's under the Dragon King's control. If she doesn't kill Jade or Sindel she should somehow be responsible for the deaths of hundreds of Edenians or the complete destruction of Edenia.
Throughout all the games Kitana has been trying to redeem herself and undo the damage she did while she was loyal to Shao Kahn. So to have her do something so unforgivable, so horrible and terrible would be perfect for her storyline.

Yeah!! i liked her better as an assasin rather than a princess... she should do something AWFULL and give her place as princess to Jade while she goes on a pilgrimage arround the realms to redeem herself...
