@Billyrage, actually Cap Marvel isn't like Superman, he can fly and has power but that's just about it.....if you do some more research you'll see there's quite a few differences dude.

@WarriorPrincess don't worry, I'm sure Kitana will be in it at some point.

LOL@ the silly, same typical people ripping the gameplay yet know nothing about it nor have played it......... Haters....hopeless and will never change.

But FTR, the gameplay actually looks quite good, improved and definitely adding more challenges with the custome combo system, limited hit system, pro system etc.


Concerning the the "sound bite" thing since I'm also very familiar with it since I'm into voiceovers/voiceacting a bit, for one it's an early build so I take the sounds and everything from a "non-finished" point of view with a grain of salt, as should all people. So, to judge it as if it's "done" is silly honestly, once the game is out more people will sound differently like they did a good balance of it in MKA considering the amount of people, I was impressed with only a few people sounding the same in that game. I remember in the older days, everyone sounded the same and shared voices, grunts etc yet nobody complained about that......lol there's those pet peeves again.

You can play the skeptical card, but that arguments cuts both of us. If Rain were confirmed tomorrow (God forbid), I could say that we have no right to criticize since there is the possibility that their fan mail is littered with Rain Requests. I could apply that logic to Kai, to Jerek, or any other obscure character that few if any fans are asking for.

But as a brilliant French man said, when it is not in our power to determine what it true, we ought to follow what is most probable. Given the data (that is, the posts on this forum), I have seen very few requests for Liu Kang, and many of the ones I've seen are not rooted in love for the character but in some other alien reasoning.

And remember, who put Khameleon in the Wii version of MKA? That would be the forum goers.

Power of Zeus feuls the Thunderbolt that allows him to transform, allows him to use lightning as a weapon. The lightning can also be used to heal him or power spells.

In addition his powers are granted magically, so pretty much all of his abilities can be considered magical in nature.

Captain Marvel is NOT the mystical hero. He is the superhero standard type.

As for fans clamoring for Kitana and Raiden they are the parallels of Wonderwoman and Superman respectively; they will DEFINITELY be in this game.

i'd be extremely shocked if dr. fate or zatanna made it into the game. i think the mystical super hero is captain marvel.

the whole marvel families powers come from ancient mystical beings and right now in the comics captain marvel is pretty much the new wizard shazam.

Dr.Fate is to DC is what Dr.Strange is to Marvel. The most powerful sorcerer in his respective universe. He's obligated to be in there. Storywise,it doesn't even make sense for him to ignore such an event. Can't wait to see what he looks like,he's always been one of my favorites.

As for the goddamn Shazam,I'm actually thinking he could be a boss or a sub-boss for the MK side. The podcast guys mentioned he was fucking huge,while I don't really recall him being any bigger than Supes. Maybe it was done to emphasize his boss status and make him more menacing. From the storyline perspective,he's known to be ridiculously fucking hax when it comes to magic. We know that it's magic that severely weakens Superman during this particular conflict,but it'll will not affect Captain Marvel at all,meaning that he's at an enormous advantage here.

These two are the ones that get me: Archvillain and Epic Villain.

Archvillain
- Lex Luthor is the only one that fits Superman, Sinestro is the only one that fits Green Lantern etc... Maybe it’s more lean on the definition and they put Darkseid there, since Lex is an odd choice in a fighting game anyways.

Epic Villain
- Could mean Darkseid or Vandal Savage, interesting to note a recent magazine mentions Savage, although not confirmed, it mentions both Darkseid and Savage, but this is the only spot they can fit.

In other words: me grasping at straws.

I hope Darkseid is not in this game,unless they redisign him drastically. As it is,he looks like a tremendous goober.

I think you're onto something. I only have a couple of nitpicks.

-Mileena as the Sexy Villainess sounds nice,but with Kitana obviously in,I would rather have someone else take that spot. How's about Sareena? A bit obscure,I know,but still.

-The Amazon Queen counterpart to Diana could be Sindel.

-Crazy Villain? Hmmm... Ain't nobody crazier in the entire MK continuity than goddamned Havik. If he was in,my life would be complete. He'd make one hell of a counterpart to Joker.
