MK team unpaid and talking of leaving

I love reading people's comments in these kinds of links.
This news isn't so new, but I will say it's a damn shame. Midway needs to let everything MK go WITH the MkTeam. They didn't//couldn't pay 'em for the work they did on MKvsDC, so they should at least let them leave with their bread and butter. Fat chance that'll happen though.
Be funny as all hell if the MkTeam left midway without MK, WB bought MK, and hired all those guys right back to work on MK.
ha!

Yeah, but what's WB going to do with MK? They're not a video game company. They might keep a couple people on as creative consultants if they decide to make movies or TV shows out of it, but the rest of the team that does all the programming and stuff is pretty well screwed.

That's a damn shame. MKDCU was a great game. Too bad they won't get their money for it

Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment is the subsidiary of Time Warner that produces video games. The Lego stuff, and according to ShingoX, games like Condemned, and that new Batman Asylum game that's coming out.
So yea, they need whole teams for these projects. Mortal Kombat has really just been suffocating from time restraints and money. Both of which WB has the tolerance for from a consistent seller like MK.
I believe that the MkTeam itself is fantastic if you look at what they've been able to produce under the circumstances. Now, what if they were given a bigger budget, WB's resources, and time to do the work the way they want to?
The potential for something good coming from that situation is intriguing.
I forgot about WB Interactive. Good call. Some more news- looks like WB is closing in on the deal

The nice thing about WB is, they just delayed Arkham Asylum. They're willing to wait until a game is actually FINISHED before they put it out.
Now that would be a change of pace for us, wouldn't it?

This is actually good news. But I'm really hoping that the dead old hands of Midway will unclench MK and the Team at the same time.
If WB buys all of Midway, I'm afraid Midway would be the subsidiary that would still handle MK. However if they buy Midway, and Midway also lets go of everything MK, I'd be satisfied as well.
So,
Time Warner >> WB Interactive >> Mortal Kombat+MkTeam =

not
Time Warner >> WB Interactive >> Midway >> Mortal Kombat+MkTeam =

of course, it could turn into a...
Time Warner >> WB Interactive >> Midway >> Mortal Kombat + New MkTeam =

situation. And in that case, I'd be completely unsure until a game or something comes out.

I hope WB gets MK and the MK team, since MKvsDC was a great game.
