It depends on what type of character you made. Also don't act cocky that usually caused you to get owned harder than quan chi, kobra, mokap, and kira in their MKA endings combined. Don't get it twisted though, this ain't a flame or a word of warning, this is just advice lol. Also its been said that it was too early to determine the tier of each character when this thread was made lol. Also, Kai, Shang, Mokap, Meat, Jinko, and Kano are pretty much low tierish.

Ok this is a cry for help.

I need some serious Jade tips. I see a ew people list her as being good, but I tend to get ass raped when I play her online. My biggest problem right now is that her movement speed is just TOO SLOW. I swear to God that she walks forward the SLOWEST of all characters. I end up having to chase people all over the screen and their back-dashes seem to be faster than my forward-dashes. She cant do anything at far range so my whole match is playing catch-up with my opponent. I'd really *liek* to be able to use her competitively, but I'm thinking about just dropping her if things don't improve. Are people listing her as good purely because of her infinite?

I have some observations, etc etc and played MKDA and MKD before. RayR would you approve or disprove of my observations so far?

-the game is more fluid, but do highs and lows have any real significance?
I say they do not, it all seems like taking the best mids into the battle.

-some changes were only the aforementioned heigths. Some what weer
highs or lows now hit mid, and some mids were transferred... end result
is the same brokenness, in a different statistics graph.

-new specials are almost as broke as the previous new ones seen in DA
and D. Not to mention certain unbalanced stuff, -cough cough- Sareenas
knife throw...

Btw, it would be better if you would show a bit more regularly on MKO. And btw thanks for being in MK.

those are very astute observations and I agree with you. Strangely enough, I think the 3D MK games are actually the only ones that can be played online. Maybe DOA4. Reason being is that games like MKA are not frame dependant at all. MKA is about imposing your will on your opponent through zoning and 50/50 mixups, therefore the game can be played on line as long as the lag is not too bad.

It's more about forcing your opponent to guess wrong and then exploiting the opening. The reason being is that most attacks are not safe to use and are easily punishable.

Also the slight lag online keeps people from doing the really broken high percentage combos and infinites, yes Moloch has an infinite but it's actually hard to pull it off online.

If it weren't for KAK, MKA would be complete garbage. KAK is it's crowning jewel and I have to give props to the MK crew for creating a feature that was so unashamed about ripping stuff off from other games. That was a very good move.

The custom movesets and fighting styles are even better, I thought the KAK was going to be purely cosmetic and then pick an existing fightging style but they took it a step further and made it completely custom.

As far as tiers go, I will go as far as saying that

Scorp, Sub, Quan Chi, Chameleon, Sareena, Noob, BRC, Cage, Liu Kang, Kung Lao, are all very good non boss non KAK characters.

Tom Brady and Konqrr have also acknowledged that Sub Zero very well could be the best guy in the game. You have to work hard, but he is very good. It takes skill to play him...but if you are skilled you will do well. I would have to agree. I'm sure Versatile would be glad to hear that Sub is top tier finally.

As much as I think the game is garbage I'm still having fun playing for the reasons stated here. I can make just about any character I want and play online and rape.

it is scary how much it applies in real scenarios. I extensively study european 900-1500 fencing and frankly...

there are versatile weapons that simply CAn restrict you to decide wether how many angles you want to guard. And there is no 3 high-mid-low, but
a complete of 9 different angles of incoming blows...

Any idea why people omit / detest etc the 50/50 or ...what I would prefer and have no beef with 33/33/33 game? because IF Mk would have MOVE PROPERTIES, than it would come close to actual simulation...

jonny cage is veryyyy good for me. but he had a huge learning curve as i used characters such as lui kang and nightwolf and kenshi in deception.

I agree, Shang is retarded... I just have't gotten around to playing hime which is why I haven't made a tier list. I've also had trouble with Mavado, Kabal, and Mileena players. hookswords are nuts

Guys trust me when i say the prima tier list is wrong. They gave kitana, fujin and shao kahn 4/10. WTF!!!??? they are some of the strongest characters!!!

I agree with Chrome about Hotaru being a nightmare. I loved using him in MK: Deception, and the added specials in Armageddon help ramp him up even more. He's one of the few updated characters I'm impressed with.

Hotaru has been turned from a dominating player into a complete monster - His BF+1 Lava punch is so safe it's unbelieveable!!! He is gonna be top tier once people get to grips with the game
Oh and Karate - No way is Fujin low tier, not the way I play him

And Hotaru is bloody irritating. he teleport and the charge punch make him evil beyond belief. He has juggling problems though which annoy me greatly, but he's awesoem once you get around it.

The only problem I see with hotaru is that his teleport isn't a true teleport. To test this have a subby player do an ice clone and then try to teleport. You'll hit the ice clone. Other than that though I agree he's awesome right now.

That's probably because I don't care about this broken ass game. There is no such word as skill in this game, it's just abusing the broken stuff. When someone beats me I'm like , "Congrats, you found the unbalanced broken stuff. Bye Bye" Besides I dunno who you guys are online...online names are different from MKO names usually. Also, if you guys have a 360 and some extra cash, check out the Superman Returns game in Nov. It's the last game I worked on, I hope that everyone likes it. It comes out on PS2 and XBox also, but the 360 version is the best.
