Well dude,for me Kitana and Tanya are top tier for many moves an aerial combos,Mileena could be a mild tier but Sindel totally sucks
When I use Kai he can beat Moloch on hard very easily so I consider him God Tier and Rain has go some really deadly combos

What about Sonya is she weak?
How are her combos and damage patterns?Is she Fast?

I already knew that strategy regarding Kung Lao and how to thrash Moloch with him . I had tested out all possible strategies I can think of how to stop him with every character before even going online lol. But yeah, thats actually one of the strategies to use against moloch users though (thats one of what I was referring to when I said that there are weaknesses that Moloch users have to deal with.) I've actually beaten Kung Lao users using that strategy to beat me when I used Moloch. (sadly enough I don't get challenged by Chameleon, Meat, Smoke, and Fujin users anymore though lol). Also there's a similar strategy that Fujin users can use to beat Moloch users.



No one up until when MKDA came out. Please don't give me that no one likes moloch as a favorite bullshit. Also I do play as other people lol. Before you assume that he was the only person I kick people's asses online with check my post again and stop being so dee dee dee. I've been saying that one of my characters was moloch since a month after I even registered. Also I kick ass with Ermac, Sheeva, and Onaga (among other people). BUT I also say this, you're probably one of the people who's ass I kicked online for you to even make that "Play as someone else seriously, and dont give me that hes my fav. character crap no one likes moloch as a favorite" comment. I've heard that too many times before I owned idiots with someone else other than Moloch. And if you are one of those people then I feel sorry for someone who decided to bitch after losing XD.

You can't consider Kai God Tier because you can beat the arcade on hard with him

It's the characters properties and abilities online in high level play that really count towards their tier placement, safe moves on block, unbreakable combos etc.

I haven't even got the game yet, but I've seen the vids of Molochs' inf juggle combo and Blazes' super damage. I agree with Versa on this and I think that MOB (Moloch, Onaga and Blaze) should be banned at competitive level. They are in a completely different league from the rest of the cast. I know they are the big boss characters but when hardly anything you do affects them, that's just plain bullshit!

I just know that the usual rank whore scrubs on the PAL server are gonna be choosing MOB just so they can win consistantly and get their precious rank up!

Listen up guys - Rank means shit, esp the way Gamespys' server works it out. From what I can gather they haven't even fixed the fact that you can pull on an opponent have they? Who gets the win?

I guess I'm one of the only ones who uses Moloch and Onaga that isn't a rank whore. I just use them to either beat arrogant ppl or just to kill chameleon users Thanks for mentioning Blaze though, now chameleon users have something new to fear heeheehee Also I thrash rank whores like there's no tomorrow. However whether or not MOB should be banned...hmm....I'm kinda iffy on that. The PAL server is my hunting grounds since I can find rank whores to demolish there though . Funny thing is that they all cry (rank whores included) when I beat MOB with Mokap (yes I actually don't like him but use him for MOB slaying purposes), Shao Kahn, Motaro, and Kung Lao. Sometimes I beat MOB users at their own game though ^_^. Sadly enough I stopped using Moloch and still end up undefeated (close fight against a Blaze user though ^_^ )

Man no way is Smoke low tier. I can win flawless against the computer as him on MAX without ever losing a round or coming close to losing a round. I also do really good with him against other people I fight. His new "Play Dead" move is execellnt and Mi Tzu is just a great style, not to mention how fast his smoky cut is. Noob is also not low tier because my friend uses him and pulls off a huge 18 hit combo that does 42% damage. The only that holds Noob back is his wack Troll Hammer but he actually has pretty good juggles and special moves.

Watch some of the gameplay vids for Shinnok and you'll see how to play him. Check out Youtube. I don't know what the move is called but every time you finish off a combo by planting your opponent use the skeletal hand grab that comes up from beneath them. I think the only way you can avoid getting grabbed is to tech roll?

Sonya isn't as good as she was in MKDA, but I'd say she's still up there with some of the best.

As for Kai, he does seem like low or low-mid tier quality to me. Moi Fah is mediocre in both MKD and MKA. The D + 1 poke is pretty good. 1, 1, 4 is the only combo in Moi Fah that has a mid attack in it (attack 4 hitting mid). In MKA, Moi Fah has a new move, which is a pop up (which MKD's version didn't have) that hits high and is unsafe on block.

Spiked Club is also rather mediocre. D + 1 is a good move, but it's not a great style in terms of combos. The mixups are pretty shitty and it feels limited overall.

In terms of special moves, his fireballs aren't that great. His Renegade Kick is kinda crappy. His other kick move is pretty decent, I guess. His throw is pretty good.

Johnny Cage is a decent character, surprisingly. I thought he was going to suck, but he's actually better than I thought. Attack 4 in Shorin Ryu hits mid this time unlike in MKD where it hit high. Because of 4 hitting mid in MKA, Shorin Ryu is better. It still has the D + 1 poke, which is good. It's still a pretty fast and strong style overall.

Nunchaku is just ok. It's not really that useful overall, but it's not the worst weapon style in the game, that's for sure.

His throw is ok. His specials are kinda shitty though, namely because two of them hit high while his projectile hits mid. Even if he did have something like the Nut Punch, I don't think it'd make too significant of a difference.

Even so, I'd say Johnny Cage is a mid tier character.

fuck u can use subs clone in the air. im gonna fucking abuse the shit out of that now. but really sub bosses dont count. and there is too many counters to sareena to make her top tier. id say mid high.



her style is far too dangerous to be effective against turtlers.


another thing mavado does own. i also believe that fujins moves are very annoying while not powerful they might be a good psychosis against people like me. in arcade i always seem to be getting tornadoed yet i have very high health. but i change my style just because i believe im getting owned which then leads me to getting owned.

1-mavado-just an overall awesome character

2-subzero-amazing turtle and a good mid now- also effective as pitbull if used correctly


3-fujin- hugely annoying character-great psych decent damage


4-god id have to go with noob saibot- hes got some mad annoying specials-huge comboe (i can easily land a 60% and i had a 74 once)


5-tie- meat(ull see) and drahmin- these guys are powerhouses- both have easy 55%+ combos-for the most part are safe- and just have technical specials which lead to good strategy- meat also has an amazing teleport move(very fast, decent recov)




there you have it. now you can disagree all you want but these are very effective chars. which could be played competively if there was tourneys for mk games.

So far noob is right at the top for me (excluding MOB).

He is safe and has high damadging combos. Plus the invisible move just makes him hard as hell to beat.

I keep hearing bad stuff about Jade, not being as powerful, also people keep saying Nitara and Kitana are low tier again and that Kira still sucks.

The worst characters in the game:

Shang - He has NOTHING.

Sindel - She sucked in MKD and now she even lost FJP *sigh*.............

Shujinko - LOL @ Midway, Shujinko takes more damage than other characters, this is fucked up.

Kai - See Shang.

The best characters for me are Jade, Sonya, Stryker, Sub Zero, Kitana, Sarrena, Kung Lao, and Taven. Out of those, Jade has the easiest combos, but Sonya has the best overall defense. So I think Sonya and Jade are two of the top characters in the game. Nuff said.

I'm wondering if shunjinko taking extra damage is some half assed way to balance out the fact that he has such a long special move list. Either way it really screws him in fights since it's perma weapon stance.

Also will chamelion be high up? He's got some amazing combo's although I don't know how possible they are in an actual round. Either way both his stances are awesome although his special moves seem to be some of the worse ones from the characters he takes from.

Yep, it's like he's in weapon all the time.

When he's in weapon he even takes like twice the damage.

This makes Shujinko unplayable at any level.....................



All this game needs is just 1 patch to fix some little stuff and balance the bosses.........

From what I have seen so far Shang tsung has been major-screwed over.
Snake is/was never a safe style to begin with, so you have to constantly rush your opponent and chip away as much damage as you can.

Straight sword IMO is slightly better because of the few mixup attacks, and it has a good reach and poke potential. Shang was a character who really elaborated on the 3 style system. Without it, he is incomplete and mid-tier at best.

Strong points though: the 3D fires have been improved not just visually, and as I saw them, they rather hit like an "edge of the cicle" than two separate fireballs. This is good, better.

Soul Drain faster. Very good, soul drain is a must. Mystic Magic is buferab-le and comes out pretty fast, still unsure about the moves potential though.

Hotaru has became a nightmare to use. Slow and short combos, helluva powerful moves and the new specials make him even more of a threat thanks to his throw. High tiers bottom or High-mmiddles top.

I've never seen so many people wrong about something in my whole life.

KAK is top tier, thats the bottom line. KAK beats all 60+ characters easily.

This game is too new and there are too many characters to be making tier lists. This whole thread is pointless.
