I'm a bit pissed that they didn't give reptile a real ninja mask there. They ripped off Ermac, big time, and it looks kinda dumb. Shang Tsung looks kick ass though, I love it. I'd assume those are probably images from Shaolin Monks as the backgrounds don't come from Deception. Even if they are, great, even more bitching and whining from non-GC owners! Hooray! */sarcasm* (note that I'm an x-box/ps2 owner, not a GC owner)

All of the renders at the end are from MK Shaolin Monks.

Then how come the Reptile and Shang image's file name don't begin with "MKSM" like the rest of the Shaolin Monk images?

I have no idea why not. However, they DID come from the MK Shaolin Monks section of the Midway press CDs. Also keep in mind that Shang Tsung sports the exact same look as he did in the intro video to MKSM (which can be seen in the presentation by Ed and Shaun).

the shalion monkd trailor blew me away. its very impressive and i only see good things and a great adventure rpg game or wait no a great game period. everything looks great the levels, the characters, the fighting engine, everything. only problem that seems is that the graphics are not clean crisp and well done but its to early to judge but overall looks to be a very good game.

Shaolin Monks looks like it will be a "rent only" type of game honestly. The graphics just don't look that good in the trailer and the fighting just looks retarded with all that floating. The only thing that looks good to me is the co-op but from what I've seen in this trailer it doesn't look like it will save the game. I just hope that I'm wrong and the MK Team surprises me... But I'm not getting my hopes up.

The fighting in it looks pretty awesome for an adventure game.

The air combat might be a little over done but I have to play the game to see how it feels.

The ground combat system looks like what they used in the Jet Li game Rise to Honor. That's great, I love the fighting in RTH.

The graphics look weak. The character models are way too cartooney = too muscular to the point where they look weird.

I wish they would have modeled the in game models like the high res. models.

The gameplay and the fighting system both look superb. It looks very deep and well done for an adventure game.

The intro movie was...amazing. BTW, I can’t believe NO ONE has seen SONYA and KANO in the intro battle! It’s very clear that there is only one single blond haired person fighting against a male who is wearing white clothes....all white.

Look carefully after Kung Lao (in the intro fight) throws his hat and decapitates a Tarkatan, behind him you can see Sonya facing Kano.

It looks alright I guess. I might rent it but it just doesn't look that great to me. Some of the animations are VERY cheesy.

The render of Reptile is really good though. The best look he's had in a long time. It would be a cool alt. in MK7

noooo......... I had my hopes up that they were for the GC version. They're so badass looking, best looks for both Shang and Reptile. I haven't given up all hope though, you never know.

No, look MK: Shaolin Monks GameSpot's section, the Reptile, Shang Tsung & Kung Lao are MK: SM Renders, not MKD GC Version. Period.

Reptile is sweet... wish he looked like that in MKDA... cuz thats just... awesome.

i hope game cube gets extras again for lack of online and late release. maby it could be play as goro and shao kahn again.
