Said it before, I'll say it again: It never ceases to amaze me that the MK team goes through all the hard work of designing new looks and styles for their characters, and some people want nothing but 12 goddamn identical ninjas for a cast.

You know, I said the same thing back when I was 7, or 5 years ago. (I didn't use a calculator.) But now, the MK4 look and MKDA look awsome.

I say his best look was in MK Gold.Midway should have left it like that.
He was Reptilian but still had alot of human features. That was his best look.Long Live Johnny Cage.

I love ALL his forms.
MK2 was very cool
UMK3 was the worse because it was generic but he still had very cool special moves and a cool fighting posture
MK4-MKG alternate: both very cool, it is the way Reptile shoud look like
MKSM: also the way Reptile should look like
MKDA: Reptile was looking VICIOUS as a lizard, and crab was my favorite fighting style. I love the MKDA Reptile

Ninja Reptile is awesome, but it would make no sense to bring him back to this form. KaK is how we'll make Ninja Reptile.

the lizard form is tired for me...I mean look at all the lizard dino wannabes allready.
Killer Instinct= Riptor
Soul Calibur= Lizardman
Primal Rage= Talon
why does MK have to travel this path? They could have been alittle more original in the look at least. I hate the primative lizard/raptor form of characters.
Im not saying make him another ninja again but c'mon

I don't see how it's a bad thing when he was reptilian the entire time. Besides, it's kind of obvious that group shot is just a bunch of old renders as place holders, except for a few of the new characters.

I like both versions of reptile, but i prefer the classic ninja one.
Anyways, this have been discussed too many times in others threads...so if you search back in the forum, you can post your opinion in the others many "Reptile Costume" threads.
Because this forum is getting filled with always the same threads...

Reptile's render isn't a place holder, its slightly different to his MKDA look.

I like the Shaolin Monks look. He's Reptillian, but he has the ninja like mask. I thought it was perfect!tongue

I have said this many times, and here it goes again.
Reptile looks his best as a more primitive beast then he ever did as a boring unoriginal ninja.
His best costumes were his lizard form in Mk4 (grotesque, deadly, freaky, and excellent), his MKSM outfit (deadly and grotesque) and no doubt his revolutionary MKDA outfit (though he looked way too primitive, but still, that made him awesome).
I hope hey never return him to his “human" form, its boring, old, and uninspired.
His story just got better, no need to take away the awesome "de-evolving" thing from him now, no need at all.

If they don't do something about the devolution he's going through, he'll end up an unplayable dinosaur. =P
I was playing MK2 again the other day, having unlocked it on MK:SM, and I realized something. That old pallet-swap costume looked its best in green. I think that's why people want him back like that so bad.
I'd be plenty happy if we could get him to re-evolve into a more MK:SM version of himself, but I wasn't a MK:DA Reptile hater. I hope if they keep him MK:DA-style, they at least add his old moves in. I'd love to give that wacky energy-ball projectile to a KaK.

I'm going to have to support Shadaloo on this again. Shadaloo, you said it best in the last thread about this crap. You people aren't Reptile fans, you are ninja fans.

I think Shadaloo said it best when the majority of ninja-Reptile fans are just ninja fans. Honestly, I don't want him to be a "unique ninja" like Ermac, Noob Saibot, Scorpion, Rain and to a lesser extent, Sub-Zero anymore. He looks completey different now and that's the best thing that could've happened to Reptile's character. He's a unique character, and the ONLY ninja who branched himself off from the rest. Please, keep the de-evolution story alive.

I'm also going to side with Shadaloo. I've always been a fan of Reptile's storyline, not to so much his appearance. I liked his MK4 appearance, but not soo much his MK:DA. I really liked his MK:SM look though. I think it's a great way to combine both looks together. I'm hoping the MK:SM costume will at least be his alternate. Although I'm sure it still wouldn't make everyone happy.
