What if the 8's represent the number of characters for the game? The first 8 is separated, so I think it could be for the classic characters. The others could be for male and female, doesn't matter the race (Human, Shokan, Centaur???)

It's before augest 8th. so maybe a site will go up? or a demo? just shotting random idead out there.

I've been staring tha tthe numbers for like an hour now... trying to do math tricks to make it all match, cant find anything.

I'm assuming it has something to do with details of the game itself, or a date. maybe the numbers will change from time to time signalling a countdown?? other than the one we have.

heres just some random as hell ideas that 6 and 23 could be, or maybe even 8,8,8.

6 returning, 23 dead, maybe the others are what if's?

6 realms? somehting to do with them? I know there are more than 6, but only 6 were present in mkd.

6 old chars, 23 new? and a boss maybe? that would equel 30 total.

uhh im not really too good at this, again just a random idea. but then again, my last random idea worked out pretty good predicting the hidden countdown of the MKA website before its launch. predicting each line that was entered down above the logo was depleating once a day as a countdown.

im still proud of that one:P

i just looked it up, 238,868 is the amount of miles between the earth and moon.
i doubt Ed Boon would make details on the enxt Mk game like character numbers based based on that one number AS WELL as the release date. itd be hard to design the game around that number and make it all work with the story theyve been working on since mka.
false alarm on the other numbers, doubt they mean anything.

8/8/08 could be a date. The problem with that is that it is a Wednesday. I guess they could release a game on a Wednesday, though. Or maybe that is when they will announce the release date? Mark down Werewolf Wednesday (because of the moon and all...never mind).

The moon's distance from the earth varies. 238, 868 is a very specific number. I think maybe it could be 23 new characters and 6 returning characters. Maybe a hidden one, a sub-boss and a final boss. That would take it up to 32 characters overall, and 30 playable. Doesn't seem like a stretch.

Or, now that the Noob.com updates have been specifically tied to MK8, the General Forum thread can be closed/moved/merged with the thread in the appropriate forum, and the mods can start cracking down on MK-related spam in General Discussion. Something that seems to be slipping under the radar a lot lately, and could easily be avoided by keeping material where it belongs. Because apparently people are really that stupid, or intent on pretending they're that stupid, to get more attention.

A werewolf character, that would be cool. That can turn by button-combinations, or when it gets angry, from being attacked.
