It could be that Tom Morello might be in some way involved with the soundtrack. He's in Rage Against The Machine, he's from NY and he's known as The Nightwatchman (DC published The Watchmen, I know that's drawing a long bow). Plus we know he's willing to be involved in games.

I seriously doubt they' rename the brutalities. Seriously I'm telling you, seriously

They could be referring to the Aggressor Bar/Meter like they did for MK Trilogy. Maybe they're bringing that back, I don't know.

Well, I'm guessing that there's an event coming up in NY and we'll get a new character soon. Keep a look out for NY gaming/comic-themed events.

And I just thought of something--weren't the subway stages from MK3 and MK:A based in New York (as one would think)? And in MKA we DID have the "Caged Rage" posters... it's something to think about, at the very least.

Looks like an Agressor type meter.... With that kind of font, it's not just a word to give us a clue, I'm sure it's part of the game.
NY Style is the real puzzle here though... can't say I get it at all.

If you view the HTML of the page, Ed named the image file for the RAGE! marquee "rageweapon.jpg". Could this mean there will be weapons in the game?

Yeah, I saw that too.. but Ed named the blurry Scorpion pic "rain.jpeg," so I wouldn't put much in the name of the images. Mostly, they're named like that so we won't randomly type in, say, "reptile.jpg" and find a Reptile render he was going to revel down the road. Who knows, though? Maybe it'll be like an "agrressor"-like power-up bar.

Yes, but who would think to type in rage.jpg?, even if someone found it before it was revealed all it says is "Rage!". I think him disguising the file names is only for character renders

In Armageddon, didn't Johnny Cage have some kind of poster i the subway stage that said "Cage Rage" With a picture of him on it? And aren't most subways like that in New York?

Maybe the subway is going to be one of the arenas in the game but I'm leaning more towards the Aggressor-like meter bar in MK Trilogy.

I agree with Bleed, maybe some kind of power up perhaps? Something extra that we haven't found out yet that has to do with the gameplay I'm betting.

Maybe there is a RAGE meter and when it fills you get a weird sword that does double damage to your opponent.

That's highly unlikely. Also Morello's from Chicago not NY.

I'm pretty sure New York isn't the one place with the most subways like that in the world...

I was just thinking about that actually in my daily brainstorming sessions.

As for "NY style", maybe it has something to do with the brutality of street fights in NY and representing how brutal they can be?

Or maybe Boon is just trying to add that, PLUS a way of saying the aggressions of the fighters are gonna be "awesome like the style of New York" because apparently that's how Ed looks at it when it comes to "rage" and "aggressions"?

In conclusion, a new aggression meter might be back, but not in the way we are expecting it to be, sorta like how "Test your might" works this time around.
