oh yeah btw kill both shujinko and ashrah. kill ashrah twice.they are easily in the worst 5 mkd characters.

We all know that these two aren't really a fan favorite. But I say we should give Ashrah a chance. I belive that Ashrah could develop into a great character with a great story. I mean, She's an evil trying to redeem herself. I think we should allow her to play it out for a little while longer. But If she does die in Armageddon, then I can't say I'll miss her since she hasnt made a big impression on me. But I like that hat
Shujinko....Oh poor Shujinko. I don't care about him.
The only thing good he did was train Li-Mei and Uma Thurman. I will also thank him for making one of the newest and coolest Mk characters Onaga, appear.
Other than that, He has no further use.
Li-mei is a skilled fighter, Onaga is kidnapping Shao Kahn and carrying him over the moutains, and Uma killed Bill.
His purpose in life has been fufilled. Finish him Raiden....

i think shujinko was a great character. He has wisdom, is trying to redeem himself and he wants to be a hero.
I already like the whole tragedy of him realizing he's not a hero, because he could have an interesting plot. For him to see himself not the lead dog, means he has to find out other things he wants and to see things from a different view. This can be neat for a race against time, since he's aged so much, and probably doesn't have much life left in him.
As with ashrah, i actually liked her. Next to sareena, she is the indifferent demon. I would like to know what made her think what she's doing is shameful and wants to change. Also the sword i thought was cool as well. More of a story on how she procured the sword, would be friut ful. Its seems simialar to kenshi's. And does she know others like her, this brings up many ideas.

Three characters. (We're almost there)
Dairou
Dairou was once a Seidan Guardsman, but when an assilant killed his family, Dairou killed the assilant in a fit of rage, Dairou was imprisoned. For all the good he had done, one act of chaos was enough to condemn him. During a riot by the Resistence, Dairou managed to escape from his cell. Knowing that he couldn't return to the ways of Order nor give in to the ways of Chaos, Dairou pledged alligance to no one, and became a mercenary... but his neutrality would soon come into question, when his next call was to call his former fellow guardsmen, Hotaru...
Kira
Kira was in Afganistan making deals with terrorists, disgusied as a man, but when her identity was discovered, they tried to kill her. Kira fought her way out and when she emerged from the cave, Kabal was waiting for her. So she was asked to join the Black Dragon, she accepted and Kira most looked forward to the day that they would rule in blessed anarchy.
Kobra
Kobra trained in martial arts for quite a few years. But because of the restrictions, Kobra developed a violent tendency and eventually became a wanted criminal, he was finally arrested, but soon to be busted out by Kabal and Kira, and once he saw them, he knew he was in the company of friends...
Dairou: Dairou's kind of interesting and he could carry on to the next-gen games, but if he is to die, it should be fighting Darrius.
Kira: Kira's sort of cool, but I can't see her surviving for some reason.
Kobra: Ken Masters should come in and kick his ass for stealing his looks.

Dairou: I like his look, and although he doesn't have too much of a story, I sort of see potential in it. I'd like to see him in the next-gen MK games.
Kira: It's cool that they finally have a redhead in an MK game. She looks pretty good, and I can kind of see potential for her in the next-gen MKs. However, like Sonya, I feel relatively indifferent about Kira.
Kobra: To put it simply...I don't like him, and maybe we should have Johnny Cage kick his ass or something.

Dairou is another "eh' character for me. I don't completely hate Dairou, but I'm not a fan either. If I recall, wasn't Darrius responsible for the death of Dairou's family in some way? I know that they're allies now, But If Darrius was responsible for Dairou's family's demise, then Dairou should do the same old get reveng routine I guess. I wouldn't say kill him off because He could turn into an interesting characters. "Neutral" characters always have potential.
Kira. I know the majority of you would probably kick my ass for saying this but: I like Kira. I mean come on. The only thing I can find wrong with Kira is that she has Sonya's and Kano's moves. If she had her own moves she would be a badass . I can easily see her taking over the Black Dragon. If you ask me, She'd make a better rival for Sonya than Kano would. If Kira were to fight Kano, Kira would win hands down because she's smart and quick...the opposite of Kano IMO. I like her and hope to see her next gen. She's basically my favorite new character in Deception next to Havik.
Kobra. I have nothing to say about him. He's that steryotipical street punk who uses his talents for bad. He's a martial artist who got sick of not being able to use his abilities on people and went on a violent rampage and now he's in the Black Dragon. WORST STORY LINE OUT OF ALL 62 CHARACTERS IN THIS GAME. As we've seen in Kira's ending, Kobra is just hot headed and a complete retard with no disipline which is why Kira was able to kill him easily. I hope Kira kills him for real. If not her, then maybe Ken will jump universes and kill him for stealing looks like PNF said...

Dairou: I kinda like Dairou. Being a mercenary, his storyline can go in many diferent ways. But first, he needs to kill Darrius for what he did to his family.
Kira: Well, I'm not much into the Black Dragon clan and if she's going to be only their #382 member, I won't miss her... But if she decides to join the Red Dragon (a clan which suits her much better, btw) I'd like to see her as Mavado's partner in the future.
Kobra: I don't really care if he looks Ken Masters or who else... we already have tons of Black Dragon members and Kobra is by far the lesser interesting imo. Rest in peace, Kobra.

I don't care about Shujinko, Kobra or Dairou. I love Ashrah, I'll come back and talk about her later. As for Kira, I didn't like her too much at first, I started liking her and now lately, I love her.
Kira
Kira is the only known female member of the Black Dragon clan and is different to other members in a lot of ways. One is, that she joined the Black Dragon clan and had never been a part of the Red Dragon, from whom the younger clan was spawned. This already sets her apart from Kano and possibly Jarek. When her story begins in Deception, Kira is in Afghanistan, selling weapons to terrorists disguised as a man. When they discovered her gender, she fought her way out, most likely killing all of them. She was greeted outside by Kabal who had plans of resurrecting the clan Ms. Blade worked so hard to stop. Kabal was disgusted at how disorganised the clan once was and set about making things right, handpicking members. Kira, unlike previous members, prided herself on her more disciplined approach to anarchy. This, to me, is not a trait the Black Dragon was or ever should be known for. This is something perfectly suited to the Red Dragon. I really would love Kira to come back next gen after abandoning, or possibly help destroying Kabal & Kobra. Mavado, Kira and Hsu Hao could prove to be huge threats alongside the rest of the Red Dragon in next gen. Kira is the only Black Dragon member I think deserves to surive. The rest have done enough.

I doubt Kano was ever part of the Red Dragon. Nothing in his storyline mentions it, and with the Black Dragon being founded by Morihei Ueshiba, it wouldn't make sense for him to have formerly been a Red Dragon.
yes kano WAS in the black dragon here is a link tha proves it : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Dragon_(Mortal_Kombat)

You didn't read my post carefully. I said that it wouldn't make sense for Kano to have been a RED Dragon since the Black Dragon, which was founded by former Red Dragon members like Morihei Ueshiba, was created long before Kano would be old enough.

Time to discuss the remaining Deception characters.
Havik
Havik is a clergy of Chaos, he tries to spread the ways of Chaos everywhere he travels. For instance, he rescued Kabal from death after his battle with Mavado and convinced him to return to the ways of the Black Dragon. But when he arrived in Outworld to "free" the city of Lei Chen from Hotaru, he discovered the Dragon King and his ambitions. Believeing that Onaga would bring order to the realms, Havik made it his mission to eliminate the Dragon King.
Hotaru
Hotaru is a Guardsmen for Seido, the realm of Order. Hotaru will do anything to enforce the ways of Order. When he was in Outworld, protecting the city of Lei Chen like he promised, he soon pledged alliegance to the Dragon King, who he believe would bring order. Hotaru then took it upon himself to find and hunt down the one called Sub-Zero... who had slain many Tarkatan...
Darrius
Some consider him a terrioist while others consider him a hero. Darrius leads a resistence against what he believes to be an oppressed government and seeks to create a new, fairier Seido. It has been suggested that... to accomplish this, he was the one who sent the assilant that killed Dairou's family.
Onaga
Onaga lived many milennium ago, as the Emperor of Outworld, but he was betrayed by his advisor, Shao Kahn. But his holymen had prophesized that Onaga would one day return and retake the throne of Outworld. That time came, when Onaga tricked Shujinko into going on a lifelong quest of finding the Kamidogu, which revived him. As soon as he was back, Onaga returned to Outworld and travelled to Shang Tsung's palace, where despite the alliance of Raiden, Quan Chi and Shang Tsung, he acquired Shinnok's amulet and retook the throne of Outworld once more.
Since then, he's been seeking to find the means to merge the Kamidogu into one... but it's been said that Onaga may be being manipulated by an essence called the One Being...
Havik: My favorite of the new characters in Deception, Havik's very cool. And I think he could stay on to the next-gen quite easily.
Hotaru: Hotaru's okay, but eh... I don't care if he goes on to the next-gen or not.
Darrius: Same with Hotaru, though I'd rather not see Darrius in the next gen.
Onaga: Onaga's sort of cool, but having said that, I imagine he'll die at the hands of Shujinko.
And with that all characters are done! All we need is the General new MK:D Cast Discussion and it'll all be complete.

My mistake then, but the core of what I said still holds, Kira belongs in the Red Dragon.
Havik: I'll probably never understand why he's so popular. For now, I don't have any idea for him. Depending on his role in MKA, I think I can give a chance to him. But if he is going to be just a troublemaker, I wouldn't miss him if he dies. Mortal Kombat is chaotic enough even without a cleric of chaos.
Hotaru: I used to hate him, but now, I can see potential in his obsession on order. He can even be a boss... please, don't kill me, it was just an idea...
Darrius: The only thing I expect for him is to be killed by Dairou.
Onaga: I wouldn't like to see any boss surviving. His plains with the kamidogu will probably fail and he'll be destroyed by Shujinko. Or Scorpion.

really i think they could all die but havik. h is one of the few original ideas they've had recently.

Havik: Potential, hopefully he won't simply be a troublemaker. He's very orginal, unlike most MK characters.
Hotaru: Everyone seems to hate him, I actually thought he was a good character. I think it would be interesting if were to discover Onaga's true goal of merging the realms, and how he would react.
Darrius: I see him as sort of an accesory to the other Orderrealm stories, he's pretty simple, but maybe we will have more detail on his ambitions in a few days.

I belive Hotaru does know of Onaga's intentions which is why he sided with him. Hotaru doesn;t care if who rules, as long as there is order, even if it's Evil like Onaga or Shao Kahn, or Shinnok...ect. Thats the only interesting thing about Hotaru. He's neutral, yet he's helping the bad guys and even hunting down the heroes like Sub-Zero. I find that kind of weird. But then again, if a good guy like Kitana tried to rule the realms and bring justice, I think Hotaru would side with her just because there's order. But I don't care if Hotaru comes back or not. I will admit, I did enjoy fighting as him.
Havik is awsome. He's so different from other kombatants. Havik is also neutral, but unlike Hotaru, Havk is trying to defeat Ongaga so there won't be any order. So he's kind of an ally to the good guys in a way. I think Havik should show up next gen. I like him.
Darrius. It seems everyone from the order realm was lame in some way, but some how cool imo. I liked Darrius' look. The Alt was fucking dumb as hell, but default Darrius looks bad ass. I love his Gauntlets too. I wouldn't mind him being in next gen. If he gets a better storyline then I think he could replace Jax .

About Me
Those who fear the dark have never seen what the light can do! The only GOOD noob is Noob Saibot

I LOVE Havik. He is one the most original character to come out for current-gen systems(this small list includes Nitara and Onaga). He has some of the craziest and most disturbing moves and fatalities i have ever seen(if you have done his hara kira, you know what I mean.) Havik has potential that is hardly seen in characters know adays. Might even be a good sub-boss in future games. Verdict...Lives
Hotoru is a classic OCC except with order instead of clealnlines. If the universe ends not only is there ultimate Order, There is ultimate Chaos(entropy sucks)
Darrius looks good and plays okay, but there is a revolution in Seido, I can see him developing a major Napolean complex.
Onaga is pretty cool for a guy that is invulnerable to projectiles. I can't wait to play as him, but I just can't see him surviving Armageddon.

Darrius looks good and plays okay, but there is a revolution in Seido, I can see him developing a major Napolean complex.

Havik is an interesting character and I like the story that he has (regardless of the whole Orderrealm-Chaosrealm thing, which I find boring), which is a cool ocncept; a character alive just for the sake of creating random conflicts. He is truly neutral, as he is willing to take on those who threaten chaotic life, but at the same time, will encourage the creation of chaos and would help enemies if need be. Although I like him better as a new look for Noob, I believe he should come back and cause more trouble for friends and foes alike.
Hotaru seems a little lame, in that his story lacks any real drives and connections. The polar opposite of Havik, he may have the same mind frame (although in the other direction), but considering he's just a blind servant going after Onaga, while HAvik is doing everything for his own ambitions, I'm not really grabbed by Hotaru's story. Let him die.
Darrius is useless. A resistant force in an oppressive society of order, he offers nothing to the rest of the cast, so it bugs me that he's there. I do think that he could be improved, as he can manipulate characters to get his way... Maybe have him manipulate the good/bad guys too? Make him become the corrupt liberator of Seido?
Onaga... I had high hopes for him, and I was disappointed in the fact that he was Damashi, and that he never used his mummified army, which was hyped up so much in MK:DA. I don't really care about him as much as I thought I would when he was first hinted at in MK:DA, and I guess that affects how I feel about whether or not he should return. If Khameleon had been in MK:D, then the story would've been interesting, as perhaps her presence could've influenced the return of Reptile, and the repression of Onaga (I have a theory that Reptile was easily taken as a host because he had a much weaker will compared to Cyrax and Nitara, who were in the chamber only moments before the Embryo hatched). Oh well, since that didn't happen, let's let Onaga die.

Havik: Havik is my favorite new character in MKD. I love his look, story, and personality. I wished that he had Mi Zong Quan (Lost Track Fist) as his unarmed style with his Morning Star being the flail kind. I hope to see Havik in MK games to come.
Hotaru: Hotaru is kind of interesting in that he's a Samurai-type character whose rivalry with Sub-Zero is based on a sense of duty as opposed to an actual grudge. Also, him siding with anyone he believes represents and will bring peace and order, regardless if they are seen as evil by others, is interesting too. Overall, I kind of like him but not that much. I do think that he sort of does have potential for the next-gen MKs.
Darrius: I'm not really into Darrius, but he's sorta cool with his look and that he has that whole political thing going on his story. I sort of see him having potential for future MK games, but he'll most likely die in MKA.
Onaga: Onaga is a cool-looking villain who looked great in the intro but turned out to be an annoying son of a bitch when you fight him. I doubt we'll get much more backstory on him, which is kind of a shame. I don't see him making it out alive after MKA, that's for sure.
To Keith: Well, yeah, I can see what you're saying, but with the way Kabal also has that sort of calculated, organized type criminal organization, he sort of seems Red Dragon-ish too...

Now then... time to discussing the General NEW MK:D Cast members. After this, all discussions will be completed... we cut it close, but we ultimately made it. I would like to thank all of you for participating in this over the many months. (There is Taven and Daegon, but since they are new characters introduced in Armageddon, we can't really discuss them) Keep it real.
