Now for MK's heart and soul. Like I said before, there should be 30 characters altogether with each of them having their own story and endings. Let's hope that the sub-boss will be something different and unique. (If Reptile doesn't become the Dragon King, but simply evolves into a more powerful and faster fighter then he could be the sub-boss. Maybe Nitara could be another sub-boss or a secret sub-boss. I will do the first of 2-4 parts.

"Good" characters I want to see again for MK6:

Sub-Zero
Rayden
Kitana (if they enhance her storyline)
Kenshi
Kung Lao

"Evil" characters that I would like to see again:

Reptile (either as the Dragon King or the sub boss before the Dragon King as a ninja or something)

Nitara (if she really is with the Dragon King)

Mavado (he needs to have more of the look from his alternate costume)

Drahmin (depends on what actually happened to him)

"Neutral/Unknown" characters that I would like to see again:

Blaze (we need to know more about him)

Frost (possibly evil now)

Characters from old MK games that I would like to return:

Sektor (pissed off at Sub-Zero and he possibly forms and alliance with the Red Dragon)

Ermac (he could be somewhat neutral and could secretly look out for Kenshi)

Smoke (hopefully in human form and de-Scorpionized, he could be an ally to Sub-Zero or maybe brainwashed by the bad guys)

(Note: it would have made a lot of sense if Noob Saibot were to be in MK:DA and he could have teamed up with Scorpion to fight Quan Chi. But of course I do understand the whole John Tobias leaving Midway and all...)

I will get into more specific details later.

TOP 3 MOST WANTED CHARACTERS FOR MK6

* FIRST and MOST IMPORTANT: SONYA. As a GENERAL. And with her patented move, *Kiss of Death* and IMPROVED. Screen wide. It might be something like a flying star (you know general/military stuff) would appear when she gives her kiss to her opponent that would be like dizzy or something like that if the star smashes his/her face.

*SECOND: CYRAX. And with his NET. That's all we ask. 'nuff said.

*THIRD: BLAZE. With that cool look they made him up in the sketches.

There they are, my 3 most expected characters for MK6. And what would I like for them. What do you think? wink

What MK6 needs is firstly:

1. Interactive Stages (Damage, different areas etc)
2. More Fatalities Per Characters (Weapon, Stage, Etc.)
3. More Indepth Story Mode
4. More Defensive Possibilities (Counters, Dodges)
5. More Bonus Options (Old MK Characters, Levels)

Now I really like that 5th item on your list Soulreaver, that's an awsome idea. I also agree with the person that mentioned Mavado's alternate costume, it's one of the best, and would love to see more of that look. Also, some of the chicks look too pretty to fight, Lei Mei to be specific. To me she's a replacement of Mileena, an awful replacement. The only thing good about her is how good it makes me feel every time I finish her off. Frost has the coolest female look in the game. Excellent job whoever designed her look and moves. Hope to see more of her and more females with her same deadly look. Man, is it just me does anyone think that some of the classic MK characters will need the fountain of youth soon. I noticed that characters like Sub-Zero and Raiden look a little older each time around. Raiden has cool powerful moves but his look says I'm getting too old for this stuff but I guess I'll show'em I still got it. Hope developers continue to revamp their fighting styles and looks, I don't feel Mortal Kombat would be Mortal Kombat without these characters. It would be like trying to make T3 without Arnie.

How about bringing the points system from MK1 back, but converting it to the Krypt/Koins system. You get an X amount of koins when you win a fight (like they’ve done), but when you do a fatality or get a flawless victory you extra koins, like fatality koins, which in turn can unlock extra fatalities for the characters. Another things is changing the coin’s names to something more MK related, Ruby Koins -> Blood Koins, Jade Koins -> Venom Koins, stuff like that.
Having more than one krypt would be neat as well, making you fight for more and even better stuff.

Concerning the fatalities etc., I think each character should start off with just one fatality and/or another type of fatality and as you progress thru the game collecting koins you should buy the other fatalities (as mentioned above). They should also bring in some new atalities. Since MK:DA has entered a new age in gaming, why not bring some more new things to it. MK2 was something new along with the Friendships & Babalities that came with it, the same with MK3 & Animalities/Brutalities. I bet a lot of people can come up with some great ideas for new atalities.

Starwinderbeta wrote some great thoughts about the sounds of the game to which I totally agree with, the music should make you feel more part of the game (not in real life psycho killer kinda way), but just in a more adrenaline pumpin’ way. A while ago I was playing THPS3 and while I was skating on one the half-pipes a fast-paced song played in the background, for some reason I was doing the most awesome tricks, but when the song stopped I fell on my ass and couldn’t do the tricks again. They should do the same with MK. I think that would make the fights a bit more interesting, ‘cause currently they are kinda boring sometimes.

That's exactly what I'm talking about, RaPaX. The very exact thing happened to me when I used to play THPS3. I started to get really annoyed, then I found out the option to select what music you wanted playing. Ever since then, I never fell again.

It also happened to me in GTA:VC...until I found out about

I usually play MKDA while listening to some adrenaline-pumping sounds like:

King Of The Ring (Not WWE, Sonic the Hedgehog)
Duelists (Soul Calibur)
The Sword Of Justice (Star Ocean 2 Battle Theme)
Recollect Continent (Soul Blade/Edge)
Get Along (Slayers Theme Song)
Other World (Final Fantasy X)
Saber Rider (Believe it or not. The beat matches with MKDA's pace)
Zophar's Theme (Lunar: Eternal Blue. It moved with the flow when I always did Sub-Zero's Stance Chain Combos)
Captain Commando (MvC)
Onslaught (MvC)
Captain America (MvC)
MK Movie Theme Song
Airman's Stage (Megaman 2)
Heatman's Stage (Megaman 2)
Tenguman's Stage (Megaman 8)
Jet Stingray's Stage (Megaman X4)
Storm Owl's Stage (Megaman X4)

...And many others. Listen to these while playing MKDA. They go really well with it. I hope that this is how Dan "Toasty" Forden will compose his next MK Soundtrack. I will never, ever, EVER, put down MK6.

Well maybe they should have the option of importing your own songs into the game, but in my opinion, I want the music to be dark, evil and of course mythological (in the chinese and/or japanese way).

Hi all.

I’m back with a couple more thoughts & ideas which will hopefully be interesting to everybody.

Firstly in reply to Sub-Zero_7th comments:

Sub-Zero_7th Wrote:

The idea of having “dark, evil and of course mythological (in the chinese and/or japanese way)” music would be nice touch as well since it keeps with the whole MK theme, as long as it keeps the game play interesting and ‘lively’.

So back to why I’m actually here.

Poses:

I’m a great fan of end match poses and would like to see more of them. At least 3-4 for each character and should of course be selectable. After a match you could press a certain button to get a certain pose. 2-3 of them should be battle poses and maybe one comical one, like teasing your opponent or like in Test Your Might where they flex their muscles as if they were body builders (I thought that was pretty funny.)

Weapons:

How about some weapons upgrades. Each character could have their primary starting weapon & 2 upgrades.
For example:
Johnny Cage’s Nunchakus. He could start of with wooden Nunchakus, which would do little to average damage. In the Krypt there would be 2 upgrades Iron/Steel and Platinum. Iron/Steel would do extreme damage, but would slow down the character’s overall speed due to the weight. Platinum would do more damage than the Wooden but less than the Iron/Steel but the overall speed would increase, making combos faster and maybe getting in more hits. They could put in 2-3 extra moves/combo’s for each weapon upgrade as well.

Weapon durability could be another addition. Weapons would pick up damage throughout the fights making them a bit weaker and causing less damage, thus making people use their weapons less during a fight. I’ve read somewhere on one of the discussions that a guy fought against a friend of his which used Raiden’s staff almost throughout all of the fights. Personally I hate people who use the same moves over and over again. Plus I doubt that when you block a sword attack with a wooden staff that the staff will actually last very long. Of course after every fight the weapon will be repaired, but not necessarily 100%, depending on how much and to what extent you used the weapon during the fight. With every upgrade the durability will obviously increase as well making them last longer throughout the fights.

Koins:

Some more thoughts on the koin system (which I thought was a REALLY great idea). Instead of using a wide variety of Koins, why not use just three or four but make them in different states/degrees. Chipped - Flawed – Flawless (Some people might recognise this from Diablo II). If you win a fight in 20 sec or less or with a Flawless Victory you’ll get Flawless Koins. Winning a fight in 20-40 sec will get you Flawed Koins and winning a fight in 40+ sec will then get you Chipped Koins. You will use the Chipped Koins to open the smaller and less expensive coffins and use the Flawless Koins to open the more expensive coffins. Somebody talked about a sort of market for trading Koins which would be nice, but in this case you would be able to ‘Upgrade’ your Koins: x Chipped Koins = x Flawed Koins etc.

Costumes:

I’ve read about a couple of people complaining about the costumes, especially the alternates. Why not put in more I say. At least 4 per character. Three of the costumes should be story related and one non-story. The primary should be the current look and the 2 other alternates should be something that has to do with the characters history. So when you finish the game with one of the 2 alternates you’ll learn more of where the character came from. Like Reptile for example: Primary => Primitive Look, Alt.1 => Green Ninja Suit from MK1/2, Alt.2 => Outfit from MK4. The non-story costume would be something different like Reptile wearing just a piece of leather around the waist or something that would resemble Reptile in a relaxed/free state. Others non-story costumes would be Lifeguard Sonya, Model Li Mei or Surfer Sub-Zero. Then instead of putting short stories (like Lifeguard Sonya & Sub-Zero’s Coffee Mug) in the Krypt, they could make it end game stories for those costumes.

Konquest:

The Konquest was another good idea, but a bit on the boring side. The whole thing bored me most of time (it was the same thing over and over again, except for Mavado’s Konquest which added something different). I suggest they make it a bit longer for each character but make it a bit more story line orientated. Putting some more Trials in it (the Trial Of Blood was kinda fun.) The first 3 should concentrate on the character’s basic attacks of each style, after that you’ll get a Trial of Knowledge 1 or something (see Trials section). The next 3 should then concentrate on combos and branch combos, after that you’ll compete in the Trial of Knowledge 2. The first 6/7 quests should be the first part of the characters story line (how it all started for the character, how he/she came to be part of MK) and the next couple of quest is how he/she came to be the person/creature they are now, facing different obstacles/characters to bring them to the current story. Each character should get some sort of prize or recommendation of some sort after completing their quest, getting just Koins was boring and not really worth the effort.

Modes of Game Play:

Other than the Arcade & Konquest modes, why not put in some more modes like Story-line Battle & Team Play Battle modes.
* Arcade Mode: You’re average arcade style fighting, you against the rest of the MK warriors.
* Konquest mode: See Konquest section.
* Story-line Battle Mode: This should continue where Konquest ended, fighting character related warriors. Making battles like Kung Lao vs. Bo’ Rai Cho and Sonya vs. Jax or even Sub-Zero vs. Sub-Zero obsolete, which is really unrealistic battles. So put in a line-up of fighters that has something to do with why a certain character is competing in the tournament like Mavado vs. Kano etc. That would most certainly bring back some older and much loved characters as well.
* Team Battle Mode: This is where the Klans & Groups come in or just if you and a friend want to fight together with your fav. characters (sorta like TTT). You’ll have different groups like the Lin Kuei Klan, Special Forces, Black Dragon Klan, Red Dragon Klan etc. or you can choose two different individuals to make your own team. No story line here just plain Double Team ass kicking. So if you really dislike the Black Dragons, you can choose to fight with the Red Dragons and annihilate them once and for all or you can take on the Deadly Alliance of Quan Chi & Shang Tsung with a Deadly Alliance team of your own.

Trials/Tests:

I really loved the Test Your Might in MK1 and I’m glad they brought it back. Test Your Sight is just as much fun so it would be nice if there could be more mini games brought into the next MK. Here are my ideas:

* Test Your Might / Test Your Sight: Almost perfect as it is, they should just change the scenery a bit more. Get the crowd a bit more involved as well, cheering the competitor(s) on, booing or applauding if you fail or succeed.
* Test Your Skills: Here you have test your skills with combo’s, starting with a 3 Hit Combo at level one going up to level 8 which would be a 10 Hit combo. Many people are new to the combo system, so this will help them improve their combo skills.
* Test Of The Elder Gods: This could appear right before the Sub-boss(es), where you have to prove that you worthy of fighting the Great Warriors to come. In this fight you’ll have to fight your most feared opponent. Much like test the Earth Warriors had to go through before entering the Portal in the Portal Story. After the test you will have one of two battles, one easy the other difficult, depending on a failure of a success in the test.
* Trial Of Knowledge 1&2: The first trial would appear after the 3rd or maybe 4th character quest during Konquest. Here you’ll have to show your knowledge of your basic attacks (no combo’s allowed). The second trial would appear after the 6th or 7th character quest, here you’ll have to show your knowledge of combo’s. These test are much like the quests of some characters in MK:DA, but without the button combinations showing on the screen. That made it way to easy and boring. I never really learned any moves or combos, ‘cause there was no need to. Removing the button combinations on the screen would make the Konquest be used for what is brought in for, STUDYING & LEARNING your characters moves (not just copying everything that’s on the screen)

That’s pretty much all that I can think of right now. When I have some more I’ll post them up. If there any comments, please do share them, but make them interesting.

See yo’all soon.

I hope it's not too late to add to this list, but I would like to see these four characters in MK6:

1.Scorpion
2.Shang Tsung ^_^
3.Sub-Zero
4.Quan Chi

MK6 should implement something like in DBZ when they power up. tongue The characters should have like, power-up abilities that, depending on how more powerful you get, your powers would either increase or decrease. Like, the more muscle mass your character got, the slower he would be...etc. Also, I think there should be more power bars, like in DBZ Budokai. For example, you would start off at green, then green would deplete and turn to blue, or another color, then you'd get to red and after red depleted, you'd be dead. I'd also like to see the torn clothing thing, and blood stained stuff. They should keep the three fighting styles, but the weapon fighting should be more realistic. I mean, come on, who could block a sword sliced on your arm without getting it cut off? There should also be sort of emergy moves like in DBZ, like Shang Tsung could use the power of his soul possesion to whip out a ki blast sort of thing. LOL. Or not....*looks around the room at everyone* But hey, the ideas you guys put in would make the ultimate MK game. I might add more if I'm up to it. Oh wells, I'm out like a fat kid in dodgeball. smile

I wish:
interactive story; like the chars talk before fighting, then after winning, we could perform or not a fatalatie, if so we could after some some matches fight different chars, who appear to revenge others, like a story mode, some chars could appear twice, if we don't kill them at first time with a fatalitie, so chars would have more than one endings, like they have the ending how the story goes for the nxt MK game, and the ending how would the story be if this guy won.
If some don't uderstand what I mean say and I'll try to make a better text.

These are my extreme needs for Mortal Kombat 6. First if mk 6 had classic games as side games, kindof like mk1 and 2, to unlock in the krypt, the the game would sell like free porn videos. (personaly if mk6 had mk1 and mk2 I would buy it for a hundred dollars). If Midway does not have the rights to do that, then please do everything you can to get them. I swear if the game had classics on it then everyone would get it. second are the charactars. frost, nitara, and hso hua should go. Definetly Noob Saibot, Sector , Smoke,Lui Kang, and meelina should come back. the head boss in mk6 should definetly be Movado.Thirdly is the gameplay. There should be brutalitys, stage fatalitys, animalitys, and two or more fatalitys for each charictar. Mostly I think the fatalitys need to have something to do with the charictars atributes. for example, lets look at kano. he has the ol' eye thing going, but his fatality has nothing to do with his laser eye, or how about jax. his arms are made of state of the are electronic technology, but all he does is crush the victims head into.with his foot.It would be better also if each charictar had more specialtys because some only have as little as two. I think the arenas are great and it would be stupid to have extending arenas (stairs ,bridges ect.).more special moves for each charictar would be cool.I dont think your graphics are bad at all, even though people say they could be better, besides, it would just take up a lot of hard drive space.I hope Midway will take my thoughts into consideration and thanks alot.

Okj my wish?
absolutely no brutalities. Those were just annoying.
No ring outs. The point of mortal Kombat is to win in a death match Ring outs are a cheese. This is not tekken.
I agree with interacting with objects, like pick up and throwing. And you should actually be able to choose your weapon, like kinda an idea i had from watching Crouching Tiger, Hidden dragon!
I think that for once a woman equal to Lui Kang should be able to win the tournament.
Woman elder god?
Raaiden should go
Fujin should return
Sindel and sheeva should return like Witches from hell
And kung lao should go
Please do not return Lui kang or kitana that is a little redundant.
those are my ideas

whats with some of you guyz wanting robots in the game?
Mortal Kombat was much better before MK3 came out! wasnt Mk2 your favorite? and mk1 is my second favorite... they never had stupid brutalities or robots or 4 handed fighters you can fight with... sheeva is 1 of the biggest disapointments for the Mortal Kombat Genre!
robots and animals like reptile shouldnt be in the game...
make it look more realistic! thats why tekken, soul calibur, DOA all have better feelings to them! of course MK is different then those games, but at least take out those animals...
for a sub-boss its ok, if u want reptile back, make him look a bit human!
there shouldnt be brutalities, they are stupid... well babalities, they are always the same arent they? so wats the point? animalities look really stupid too!
only 2 fatalities per character and mabe a weapon fatality for some, also arena fatalities of course!

Okay. MKDA was great. Its gameplay was vastly improved over it's predessesssors, and it had a kickass cast. However, now that the gameplay is good, I want more focus on story, gore, secrets, and especially fatalities. Make no mistake, I want the gameplay to continue to evolve, but now that the most glaring problem of MKs, weak gameplay that was done best in MKII, has been taken care of, the superficial stuff can be addressed.

this is just a big post focusing on story, which is an element that needs strengthening for mk6 -
never know, someone may get some ideas

Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance 2

With the dragon kings army successfully revived and the permanent fixture of the endless supply of souls in shang tsungs abode, neither sorcerer felt the need to continue the partnership, secretly plotting to kill the other. Quan Chi ordered Kano, using the army, to kill his fellow sorcerer, whilst Shang Tsung released the Oni Moloch, supplying the demon with the whereabouts of Quan Chi.

Moloch found Quan Chi first and a savage battle followed. Quan Chi rose the victor, just, and whilst recovering from the fight in a meditative state in his inner sanctum, the sorcerer became enlightened about the undying properties of the Oni. He took the head of Moloch and crafted a living weapon to enhance his dreadful powers.

Unknown to the sorcerers, however, was the rebirth of the Dragon King, an event that would disrupt their plans. The Dragon King felt the draw of his old army and traced their presence to Shang Tsung’s palace. In the palace grounds the Dragon King was met by Kano with amulet in hand, and the double crossing earthrealm warrior immediately sensed this mysterious person to be the Dragon King and knew that he was outmatched. Quickly, he switched his allegiance to the Dragon King and presented him with the amulet to control the lost army – and information pertaining to the Dragon Kings strongest foes.

Shang Tsung felt content knowing he was now the supreme ruler thinking that Moloch was successful, when he realised the lost army were closing in on him and was forced to flee from his own palace, but remained within the grounds to catch stray souls. At this time Quan Chi had wondered what had happened to Kano and so ventured to Shangs palace himself. The sorcerer spied cautiously and was outraged to learn that the Dragon King was alive – and with Kano! He stormed off only to be cut off by Shang Tsung. The two sorcerers looked at each other and realised that each others’ plans had failed, but were still reminded that together they were a powerful force. Shang would need Quan once more to regain control of his supply of souls whilst Quan would need Shang’s help to overcome the Dragon King and take back the lost army. They put aside their differences once more and formed a stronger alliance.

They knew that Kano would have undoubtedly informed his new master that the sorcerers were a danger and the two sorcerers needed all their powers of concentration and mediation to defeat the Dragon King, and could ill afford the wrath of such warriors after them like Scorpion, Kung Lao and Kenshi. But without Kano and the Oni, the sorcerers had no protection against such threats, so together, they enlisted the help of a Shokan mercenary.

Returning characters
Quan Chi
Caught unawares by the Oni Destroyer, Quan Chi fiercely battled the intruder, Moloch, in his fortress, rising the victor – only just. Outraged at this bold and fearless attack, Quan Chi firstly suspected Tsung, seeing as the Oni were kept beneath Shang’s palace.
After discovering Kano’s treachery and finding Shang Tsung still alive, Quan Chi found himself alone and without the immense power of the Dragon King’s Lost Army. Quan Chi swallowed his pride a second time and convinced Shang Tsung that Kano had acted without authorization, and that they continue their agreement. Quan Chi needed Shang Tsung to get the amulet back in exchange for regaining control of Shang Tsung’s palace – but more importantly, the endless supply of souls.

Shang Tsung
Soon after releasing Moloch on a mission, Shang Tsung felt the closing pressure of the silent army members around him. Knowing the hidden passages of his palace, Shang Tsung only just managed to escape the death trap. Confined to the shadows within his palace grounds, the sorcerer caught stray souls in order to survive. He knew that Quan Chi had betrayed him and was both surprised and pleased to have encountered him so that he could exact revenge. But Quan Chi stated otherwise.
Believing Quan Chi’s words, Shang Tsung accepted the terms of the alliance and suggested hired help to repel the attacks from Raiden’s Earthrealm warriors, whilst they focused on the assault on the Dragon King.

Kano
Thinking that Quan Chi would kill him too, the former Black Dragon member never intended on giving the amulet back, instead he would kill the two sorcerers and obtain ultimate power himself.
On his quest to assassinate Shang Tsung, Kano encountered a mysterious traveller near the sorcerer’s palace. The mercenary had heard the legend from Quan Chi and immediately knew this being was the all powerful Dragon King. In his presence the power of the amulet seemed insignificant, and out of concern for his own preservation, Kano presented the amulet to the Dragon King, along with his services and information on the events that had occurred in the last century.

Kintaro
Long after he escaped the wrath of the vengeful Shao Kahn, Kintaro sought his place back within the Shokan society. Being a strong campaigner for the destruction of the centaur and Edenian people, Kintaro was disgusted in Prince Goro’s pact with Princess Kitana.
Kintaro then found a sense of belonging when he would help his fellow Shokan’s with Centaur “troubles”. The powerful being settled disputes at first with the Centaur, but later, between members of his own race. He began to disregard what was right and wrong and instead aided those with the most gold. And when an old associate in Shang Tsung offered him an uncountable amount of wealth, Kintaro accepted the job without hesitation.

Drahmin
Continuing his relentless pursuit of Scorpion, Drahmin detects the presence of living flesh and gives in to his desire to consume. Wandering into the strange fortress, Drahmin is horrified to see his fallen companion, Moloch, lying still on the ground. He searched everywhere within the compound for the one responsible but found nothing. Upon entering the last room, one filled with luminescent light, Drahmin felt a strange tingling feeling all around him, and was shocked to see his legs and arms covered with unspoilt flesh – as they were when he was mortal.
He returned to his normal state when he left the room, but the feeling of being whole remained. The room had shown him the first step to becoming his former self. Drahmin has a new goal and will stop at nothing to make sure he gets it.

Scorpion
The ninja spectre’s hatred for Quan Chi burned brighter than ever and he intended to end the conflict at his fortress once and for all, despite the tailing Oni, Drahmin. However when he arrived he was dismayed to see Moloch enter the fortress because Scorpion knew he could not defeat all three. Instead he decided on a plan to destroy Shang Tsung and lie in wait for Quan Chi, whom he thought would eventually meet up with his ally.
But when Scorpion came into the Sorcerer’s palace he did not find Shang Tsung, but a host of ancient warriors closing in on him. In an attempt to escape the gaping jaws of the trap, Scorpion was flung into the soulnado.
Even though his physical flesh had been ripped from his body, his essence remained, and as strong as ever.

Kung Lao
The Shaolin monk senses the power of the Oni through his meditation exercises. Kung Lao has wondered Outworld untouched, with no adversary willing to test his wrath. But the one he searches for has surrounded himself with alliances with many powerful beings. Kung Lao must redesign his plan if he is to confront Shang Tsung and enact revenge for the loss of his friend Liu Kang.
Kung Lao finds an ally of his own in the swordsman Kenshi and the pair base themselves at the Wu Shi Academy, where they would pass their skills down to students in preparation for the Sorcerers’ next move.

Mavado
The Red Dragon member waited patiently at the designated spot that he and Quan Chi had agreed upon. The Sorcerer promised that he would deliver Kano as soon as he had completed the task that Quan Chi had appointed. When neither Quan Chi nor Kano showed up, Mavado left quietly, content because he had already killed that day, and that he would eventually catch up with Kano.
Soon Hsu Hao would return to confirm the destruction of the pesky Investigation Agency. All of the special forces would die just as Sonya had, and now Mavado set his sights on the Lin kuei biding his time before he confronted Kano.

Jax
As Jackson Briggs stared into the dying face of the traitor, Hsu Hao, he was still deeply saddened. The death of the Red Dragon affiliate had not eased the pain inflicted from the knowledge of Sonya’s death. Jax cursed himself for not being able to aid or protect his partner, and he doubted the effectiveness of his arms. He had the implants to help him fight Shao Kahn’s extermination squads, but now he wondered if they could still be as effective. He fondled the mechanical device in his hands that he had ripped from the chest of Hsu Hao. Jax thought that it might be time for another upgrade.
Abandoning the idea of rebuilding the Investigation Agency Jax leaves Kenshi and Cyrax to conduct their own affairs, whilst he searches for Mavado. Hatred and bitterness consume the Earthrealm warrior and Jax wonders if his new implant is effecting him.

Kenshi
The rogue swordsman saw friendship and a sense of belonging with the special forces in the Outworld Investigation Agency. He was lost when Sonya was killed and the Agency destroyed, and with Jax unwilling to take the commanding responsibility, Kenshi was free to go after the sorcerer Shang Tsung.
As he left the ruins of the Agency, Kenshi was met by the arriving Shaolin monk, Kung Lao, who was seeking the aid of the special forces. Seeing that Kung Lao had a common goal in wanting to eradicate Shang Tsung, a wizened Kenshi agreed to prepare and train with Kung Lao.

Cyrax
After the hardships that the Cyborg ninja faced in the creature, Reptile, and the vampire, Nitara, Cyrax showed no grief when the Outworld Investigation Agency was destroyed, though he was deeply sorrowful learning that Sonya Blade had been killed.
Being freed of the mechanic confines of his automation, Cyrax wanted to experience more life and so opted not to follow Kenshi or Jax, but heard of the secluded location of the reformed Lin kuei. Finding a new purpose in life, Cyrax was keen to be reinstated into the clan, but was dissapointed to see the ice temple in ruins and a female ninja fleeing the scene. Cyrax made it his business to catch up with the mysterious warrior to interrogate her on the whereabouts of Grandmaster Sub zero.

Frost
The female ninja learnt from Sifu Sub zero at an uncanny pace, mastering her kori powers quite quickly. As soon as she had what she wanted, Frost turned on Sub zero, using her ice powers to freeze him. Frost had seen the other potential students that Sub zero had invited to join the clan, and she had no desire in becoming Grandmaster of such pitiful combatants.
Delighting in leaving her mark by damaging the old temple, Frost lingered too long and was sighted by a yellow intruder, but amongst the icy terrain, she easily eluded him. Frost felt confident and untouchable, she would do as she pleases.

Smoke
After spending a number of years with a woman shaman on Earthrealm, who used methods in Voodoo and various other dark arts to restore his human flesh, the ninja known as Smoke is finally free from his pre-programmed life. Although the Shaman could not restore all the limbs and organs of the ninja, Smoke still retains the image of his former self before automation.
Throughout those painful years of reforming his natural self, Smoke could save just two memories. One was of friendship and alliance with a ninja called Sub zero, the other was to kill him. Smoke ventured into Outworld to discover which memory was the true one.

Baraka
Ever since Baraka had been part of Shao Kahn’s extermination squads, the Nomad showed that he and his people were a formidable force in Outworld. In recent times he was outraged to learn that wanderers had trespassed on Nomad land. Baraka had recognised two of the wanderers as lesser beings than he. First the yellow Cyborg, Cyrax, and later the monk, Kung Lao. Baraka made it his personal task to install respect and fear into the ones who showed a blatant disregard for the Nomad laws.
When Baraka surfaced he discovered that Shao Kahn was no longer in command, and had made up his mind to challenge the lowly fighters of Outworld for this power.

Raiden
The Thunder God felt that he never had a chance against the deadly alliance, with them seemingly anticipating his every move. Raiden has come to the conclusion that his powerful aura is like a beacon for his enemies and thwarting any stealthy missions that he had planned. Not wanting to put his prized fighters in potential danger, Raiden appears to desert them, but brief appearances in Earthrealm and Outworld convince the heroes that the God of Thunder is always near.
Raiden has also sensed a new power, and the Elder Gods have been reluctant to diverge information. What had the sorcerer’s unleashed? Only time will tell.

Sub zero
M.I.A.

Characters undecided:
Blaze
Nitara
Cage
Kitana
Shao kahn
Reptile

Im assuming that reptile will be the DK. And the only reason why Blaze, Cage, and Shao Kahn are not included is because of lack of females thus far (which is why new char. Section has a few). I didn’t feel Kitana was strong storywise in mkda, which is why I have left her out so far, I wouldn’t mind a spin off of a story with her and shang tsung (posing as liu kang) [this spinoff is not my idea – but I liked it]. Nitara’s ending threw me a little, she may just be a one game gal, but Raiden’s ending says otherwise. IMO she would be the next one I add to my list.

???New Characters???:
Ivy – a chick in the foresty regions of Edenia, could be in the living forest? Sired by human reptile well before mk1. (since reptile was mostly human at the time, this chick is definitely not a female reptile version!)

Female Red Dragon Member – red and black outfit, this chick is EVIL! Probably follow the assassin theme.

General Tzu Mei – I made up the name to tie in with Li Mei (yes this is the lost army member with li mei’s soul) He is evil (u would be too as a guy with a chicks soul)

Shadow type Noob saibot/Death like character - with flowing black robes and scythe (essentially noob with new moves and name)

Sorceress - meh, just an idea

Mynx – female professional diamond thief (don’t ask me how she fits into the story) she would wear a skin tight bodysuit and have cat-like moves and reflexes. (maybe she is paid a high ransom to swipe the amulet???)

A third Oni – (the Oni Tracker???) a smaller, ugly guy that can track the flesh of the living.

Shoki – Oni Hunter. Has a peculiar hat, straight sword, and a bag over his shoulder containing a relatively harmless, mischievous pint sized Oni. (by the way, this is actual japanese mythology, and I havent changed or added a thing, look up Oni on a search engine and you might find it)

Konga – drummer in mkda, unplayable, no story required.

Portal guard/shadow priest/dragon egg holy man – we’ve all seen concepts – could be fun as a hidden character.

Dragon King – with a reptilian element.
