Let's face it, Jax has been in every MK game except for MKM SZ and MK1 (He was originally supposed to be in, but was replaced by Sonya). Jax deserves to be in this game. The only people with the attendence record he has are Scorpion, and Sub-Zero. Jax is well liked AND Iconic. Don't like it? Deal.

Lawlz, agreed. I don't get why some people are acting kinda whiny about this character. To add salt to the wound, he'll be the first character I play as when I get the game.

No offense, but if his inclusion in the game can storm up this much controversy and get people this mad that they have to make all these threads about how he shouldn't be in the game, then he obviously isn't well liked.

I don't know why it's so bad to have Jax included. I admit, at first I wasn't too thrilled, but now it just seems interesting to see what Jax is like in this game. All I hope for is no more stereotyped Jax and all is good.

I don't think the fanbase is self-aware enough to give an accurate answer, but I'd love to know what led to the swap in the dichotomy.
I wonder if it's simply a backlash to Jax' previously mounting popularity as the lead MKSF hero, or if more tangible issues, like MKDA's alt, let the character down.

Anyway, Jax has ZERO place in this game. He's had his turn and he's had the effectiveness of a spoon as a murder weapon since his god awful black stereotype alternate in MKDA. Not many characters I wouldn't rather see in there than Jax. I mean, shit, give me Stryker, Sektor, or even Ashrah over Jax. Please.

Jax is just a very stale and boring character to me. But then so is Scorpion and Sub-Zero, I've been over them since MK3. But somebody must like Jax, or they wouldn't have put him in.

And it's really disappointing, because my two all time favorites, Kung Lao and Johnny Cage, seem to have very little to no chance of being in. They have much better designs, moves, and characters, imo. I wish at least one of them would make it. But ah well, Jax it is. Sigh.

i think jax and kung lao have equal chance in being in this game. maybe with jax just a little ahead because kung lao often seems to be forgotten(both mortal kombat movies, that animated movie, the TV series). granted all these were awful, i think they still count for something.

Didn't say Boon was making this game around the MK2/MK3 era? Then that means his apperance would make sense. Why wouldn't he be in this game? It makes perfect sense not to have Baraka in the game. What are they going to do, take away Baraka's blades just for this game? Yeah, like we need another character to have something IMPORTANT on him/her that needed to be taken away.

Mileena wouldn't make sense being brought into this game, becuase well... she wouldn't fit with all the other characters roaming around. I mean, she would techinically be the only mutant creature in the game. Despite us having an alien, a bat, a cat, Shazam, possibly a guy who uses fish as weapons, a spectre, an ice man, a bra-less agent, a semi-immortal princess and an old old sorcerer... yeah I don't see her fitting in with this cast. (I might have missed someone, but without that person you still see my point

I'm just saying that, I don't understand why some people would not like him to appear in this game. The era that it is for this game makes perfect sense for his apperance, and I don't understand why he shouldn't be included. Jax isn't hardcore. wtf have you been drinking/smoking. Jax is the most hardcore mk character ever. Jax is not my fav character but I love to play with him because he kick ass. you better hope your are not online when the game comes out. I'm going to kick your ass with Jax and maybe then you will find him hardcore

I think Jax is cool, he has always had good combos. He could be a bit cheap at times, but every character can be if used incorrectly. And as for his MKDA Alt.... It was clearly a joke, just as eddie in tekken had an afro alt. So I don't think people should really complain, we're most likely going to get something close to his original costume or like the one in MKSM. Which would be rad.

You really scare me with this inbetween MK2 and MK3 thing because they might not include Mileena because they'll be like "she's dead." !!! That is so bad and I would be severely disappointed with her missing in the roster. I know this thread isn't about Baraka or Mileena, but I think you're on the minority side thinking that there is no place for Mileena in this game.

i agree. i think all MKII could make it in depending on if you take the 20 characters literally or not.

As long as I see Baraka in this game, I don't really care if Jax is in it or not...
