Yeah, it's amazing how much stock people put into character deaths in a game where you can kill every other character! tongue

I said it years ago and it's still true today: Death means nothing in Mortal Kombat. Any character can come back, the interesting thing will be how.

Just wait until you see the storyline before you call it "immature".

19, and I'm glad he's back. Honestly, did you think the Ryu of MK would stay dead? Nobody dies for good in MK, that's been established. Besides, where was your river of tears when all these other "should be dead" characters starting appearing on the roster before Kang?

The MK storyline wasn't exactly perfect fiction to begin with, so why fuss about it? It doesn't become any more cheapened by the return of a "should be dead" character when it's happened plenty of times before.

I'm happy enough, just because it finally ends the pointless arguments of whether he was in it or not.

Glad to see him. Not glad to see him looking so healthy. maybe he'll have a decent alternate...

24 and very unhappy about him returning to his human form. Atleast Zombie or Ghost would have been a variation of what most of us got tired of through the series. Who knows, maybe it will all be explained. I hope so anyway...

21 and happy he's back. Not so happy that he's, first off, dancing around like fuckin Bruce Lee when he's supposed to have a bobble head from the minor neck injury Tsung gave him. Second, unless this is just an early look at him, he looks exactly the same outfit wise and physical appearance wise. He needs a new outfit or a zombie or ghost look or something dammit. He looks absolutely unoriginal.

I have always liked Kang, and wanted him in the game, however unless his story is kick arse then i won't be impressed nor happy with him back.

He was killed and it should stay as that.

Oh and I'm 25, even though it has nothing to do with anything!

Absolutely correct. Seems like everyone dies then comes back. No one stays dead. Correct me if I'm wrong though but Kang shouldn't have died in the first place. He's the MK champ which would make him immortal right?

19, and I am not surprised or dissapointed that liu has returned. Shang was killed, liu's soul was freed, nuff said.
I don't care about the credibility of the fiction I buy MK games because I want to PLAY them not dwell on whether the story is flawed or not.
Age is irrelevant, and I'm probably older than most here. All opinions are valid, all pay hard cash to buy this game.

Great he is back but give him a better voice, great moves and very different alternate costumes.

They are trying to make a fun game not compete with Shakespeare, they adjust the story to suit how they will achieve this.Maybe the theme of deception is relevant to some characters.

I hope he makes it to MK7,I want to see him in full graphic glory on the next gen systems, but get him some more detailed trousers and trainers to wear.

I am trying to get an idea of the maturity or the Lui Pro camp. Age, although not always a perfect indicator, does give some idea of maturity. For example, a 13 year old is more likely to be happy with the return of an old character reagrdless of how badly it affects and cheapens the plot. Someone more seasoned on fiction may find these stunts more distasteful and feel a cheapening effect.

So far the trend has been

20+ Displeased
Teen years=Pleased

I find this true.I'm 15, and, well, not nesscerily pissed about the return of Liu in Deception, but if it were my decesion, he'd stay dead. I think what he is trying to get at is that older fans, or, in my case, started playing MK at a very young age, would disaprove of the reutrun of Kang, as it interferes with pretty much the entire plot. When Trilogy came out, I was pissed that Johnny Cage had returned. I thought he should had stayed dead. But then again, it wouldn't be right to call it "Trilogy" if it didn't have all the characters from the first 3 games. But IMO, I never like it when people in video games/comics etc. come back to life. I find it absolutly stupid. I hate how Mileena came back to life. She was, IMO, the stupidest character ever, even more stupid than Cage. But then again, I'm Andy. And no one listens to Andy, so, I guess it is what it is.
