It's really going to be interesting to see who is going to dominate online play and who is going to be as good as they say are.Or, Even better, who is going to be a terrible player. I mean, you always hear people say how good they are and if they could play you, they would beat you this bad and blah blah. So not people will have a chance to prove how good they are... And, more importantly, see who is the best all around. Back in the MK2 days, someone could be the best person around town, but in some other town they could get spanked. I would like to call out all people who used to dominate back in the good ole' arcade days and announce themselves as either: Fair-Average-Good-Really Good-or Elite. Just out of curiosity. I would like to see who is or isn't what they say. Thanks for your time.

Personally, i have alot of cousins and friends that live far away from where i do. We're good friends, but we've always had some kind of "I'm better at you than this" rivalry. I cant wait to crush them online when Deception comes out.

I wouldn't say I am the best. But I am ok at Mortal Kombat. I can beat a few people. And It would be interesting to see how people would go, but I am against the console online idea. So I won't be able to see first hand.

I'm not gonna go as far as saying that i'm the best either... But i'd cream all of you guys!

I'm not in any shape or size saying i'm the best at mk, of course i'm not, but seriously, i use to be so damn good in mk2, mk4, and deadly alliance. I beat pretty much all of my friends, and me.....i have alot of friends.
I cant wait to see how i will do in mk6.

I'm also talking about seeing how certain people on this website would be , and how good or bad they are. I mean, someone could talk about MK all day and know all the stories to the characters, but what it comes down to, is how well you play the game? I'm just curious to see who will be "stand out" good, or just "Ok".

I'm pretty good, not quite a master, but above average.

About Me

Im jus plain average. Good enough to whoop the CPU, but i also get creamed by the pros. Humility all around!

I'm above average seeing as when I get a fighter game I must master it
...I can't help it. But once I get good with one character(mainly Sub) I loose much efficency with anyone else, so if anyone can play good against my mains I'm toast ;) So I'll say I'm...skilled, but not great )

A 8 or 9. If MK6 is 56k friendly expect me to put up a tough fight everytime as I did back in the good arcade days of MK1-MK4 >:D
PS I will train for a while before I go online with MK6 :.l

MK 1: Average
MK 2 - MK 4(Gold): Elite
MK DA: Good
I wasn't that great at the first Mortal Kombat because I didn't get to travel to the arcades much then. When 2 was released I dedicated myself to that and Killer Instinct, so I became a master in both. It continued through the rest of the MK's. MK2, MK3, UMK3, MKT, MK4, MKG were games I rarely found myself losing at in tournaments. Then Deadly Alliance came out and shook things up a bit. I had gotten used to the same formula as in previous MKs, so it took me some time to get used to it. Being older it's much easier to pick up and leanr things quickly, as did I with MK: DA. I haven't mastered it at all, but I am pretty good at it. There is definite room for improvment.

I'd say that I am pretty awesome.. not a grand-master, mind you.. I SUCK at performing combos, but i'm pretty darn good, i've had no one that I know whoop me yet that i've played against with friends.
I'd say i'm an 8.5 outta 10.

I'd say I'm pretty good. I'm well above average and probably among the best! I can pick up and play any MK game even after a long period of time. I guess they just come naturally to me.

I would say that I am good. I used to cycle through players at the local arcade. Eventually, there were only a couple guys that would put their quarters up when I was at the machine.
I wouldn't say I'm really good and nowhere near a master. There was always one guy that I never could beat, and I don't even know his name. He would win, and turn my way with a s!!! eating grin. ARGHH!!! I hated that guy. The turn/grin lasted a second or so, but I will remember that face until the day I die.
On consoles, between 3 brothers and houseful of friends, I owned. We played MK 2 all afternoon during the week(back in my High School days). There would be close to 10 people at any given time switching off. Only one of my friends could beat me, but not often. He still hasn't gotten to perform a fatality on Kung Lao in DA.

Id love to play you guys that say you are elite in MK2 and UMK3 online. Lets throw it down. My aim is VersatileBJN..let me know yours if you aren't scared.
Im a decent MK player..period.
Im a decent MK player..period.
depends on the game
MKDA - 7/10, im good, but depends on the character
Gold/4 - 8/10, the easier difficulty might play a role on that...
MK1 - 3/10, if you couldnt beat me, you suck.
MK2 - 7/10, dont play it as much as i used to
MK3/UMK3/Trilogy - 10/10 straight up menace...i mean now im not as good as i used to be, but im still a 9/10...but back in the day when i was a huge freak over this, i had every move from everybody memorized and even ppl who use the same cheap move over n over couldnt of beaten me...
i noticed this thread is basically a put up or shut up over online games...well u just gonna hafta believe me cuz i dont have online for either system nor am i plannin on buying it, i dont play games as much nemore, jus a few
Slica - even if MKD is the greatest game ever, ill prolly be tired of it after a good 5 months

I am the exact same way, Identical actually. I won tournaments for MK2 and Killer Instinct actually. I still don't think there is a person in the country that could beat me at MK2. I honestly think that. I am definitely right down the same path as you Kel-X. Almost uncanny. haha
