From IGN:

"Now, every move you have has a variation of itself called a Pro-Move. What happens is you'll pull off Sonya's handstand where she grabs a dude with her legs and slams him to the ground. If you pull this move off and hit a specific button at a specific time, Sonya will slam the opponent to the ground and his body'll pop back up so that she can link together some more shots"

We also know of another Pro Move - Sonya shooting two eneregy rings.

Those are the stuff I like. Let's face it, MK will never be deep or complexed. These little stuff add alot of depth and can really up the gameplay

We realy don't ask for much from the MK team, just test the damm game.

Boon talked about one of Superman's on the front page. Nice to see these "pro moves" are not just carbon copies and seem to be character specific.

I agree. Pro-moves not only sound super fun, not only seem to add more depth to the gameplay, but they also look awesome.

I'm very happy we've got this cool new idea for Mk!

So far, this game is trulylooking fantastic

She sure is! grin

Like said in the MKast, she's truly received a huge and fair responce from fans.

Agreed!

I'm also please Freefall and even Klose Kombat will present character specific attacks and not just random copy/past moves.

Cool!

yeah especially with freefall kombat. i was surprised to see how unique the ending moves were. i honestly wasn't expecting that.

but pro moves are a good thing, they're probably the closest thing we'll get to just frame moves.

Me neither!

I love the way they made those. Have you seen the new one of Sonya? I think its wicked!

She does an inverted bicycle kick attack to the opponent as he/she falls, and as a final blow she throws out her energy rings slamming crushing the victim to the floor.

^_^

I also love the way Superman’s laser look. Sonya screamed very painfully when he did that to her.

Awesome!

i have not seen that. i did see that you can pull off the super before the bar reaches full though. i wonder when it's full will it take away more or will something else happen.

when you knock someone down do you just keep falling? how long is the fall if you choose not to attack i wonder.

No, a Pro-move is performed within a certain rate of frames in the game. Most likely it will be very tight timing. Hopefully it is not too easy to pull off. I already see Superman being a real beast with these Pro-moves.

Agreed.

I looked for it, and then when I realized that it was already finished, I was like: "Where's the rest of it?"

Great Wordplay, lacks the "cream filling" though. It should be called "one extra move in there..." Or something like that. Dumb down how large and exciting the title of it is cuz it didn't look so "Pro" .

I mean, One extra move? Wow, I was expecting at least some awesome extension to a combo or something. Something a little more indicative of "you have to be Pro in order to do this sort of thing". Y'know?

All I gotta do is figure out an extra move... lol Gimme a break.

The idea is a great one though...I have to say.

Keep in mind the pro moves are all going to be different and character specific. It may not seem like a lot, but in reality it can be. If you get one on a projectile you can extend a possible combo, or one like Sonya's you'll be able to continue the combo even further. It seems like a nice idea, assuming they are properly implemented.

They've been on the right track since MKA's gameplay, now have improved upon it. Yes, and not to mention on top of these great new additions, there's wake up, running and tech rolling back.

I've seen it in other videos and MasterMalones running thread, in which a user covered E3 personally. Funny though, Midway and E3 didn't cover that but look at this video in which it's like UMK3 running. Means, annoying turtlers that always run will have to think twice

This video watch, about 55 in Superman runs at Sub and at the end of the video.
