When I saw him in MKDA, I immediately liked him. I admit, I hated him in MK4; he looked like Uncle Fester. Now, he's a tatooed, demonic, muscular Gollum who is more powerful and ancient than Shang Tsung. Good story, good concept of copying fatalities, good at shooting green skulls.
His "shield of skulls" in the MKD intro was money.

Definitely a unique character with a decent storyline.
I always find his MK4 fatility to be absolutely hilarious. I dunno though, something seems off to me.
But I think I should give him the benefit of the doubt.

My favorite character
His FMV endings in MK4 involving Reptile, Baraka and Shinnock were great
Also Rich Divizio performance as Quan Chi in MK Mythology was really brilliant.
I liked his special moves, like the weapon stealer and the tap dance he had in MK4.
Sadly in MKDA he didn't have all his special moves and his fatality was lame. I hope that they will correct that in MKA

The man with the plan, the master of disaster. He's backstabbed more people than I can think of right now. While I prefer Tsung, it seems that Quan is more powerful of the sorcerors, and he's always had that intimidating presence about him.
But that damn MK:DA fatality...that...damn....ARGH.

I have to give Quan Chi a 9/10. He was always very dark and mysterious and a basically evil looking character. But there was always just something lacking from him for me. I don't really know what, exactly. I'm guessing it's just the fatality side to his character. There were never any stand-out ones. But overall, I love his storyline and the character itself.

In MK4 Quan Chi was just a normal newcommer to me but in MKDA he has improved to one of the best bad guys of all time in MK. Glad he will be back in MKA, Awesome character.

hah, he DOES look a lil like uncle festor, but no i do like him. hes one of the more original looking characters in the game, and i like his skull move, but iv never liked the way he fighted, he wasnt fun 2 play in mkda, and his swords sucked. he shuda had that staff he had in d concept art, im gonna give him 5/10, good story but bad gameplay, and in the end, thats whats important

If Shang Tsung does die, Quan Chi is a decent replacement for most evil ******* of the realms.
I hope he ***** some people up big style. Thing is with Quan, everyone hates him already. So badass he's the best new character out of MK4, DA and D, quite easily.

Congrats are in order for Quan Chi as he is only the 4th Character to successfully beat the 70's Scoring and get an 83.6 which puts him 4th in the Top 10 that knocks out Smoke who's been there since day 2.

My guess is while they were making Deception.. One of the Character designers when he was at home that night was watching the Matrix and thought to himself.. hmmmmmm
I like his Design and feel he actually fits in..
I can't say the same for his second Outfit.. I think it's Samual L Jackson if he were a Mortal Kombat Character.
