Secondly, Zombie Kang is a good design and story for him. It's given new life so to speak to his character which had gotten very plain and stale. I'd prefer someone else to be the champion of MK if such a title is possible to get this time around. Anyway, he was human in his alt outfit in MKD and I'm sure he will be again.

Liu Kang was already a bad and overused idea when MK1 was just being developed. Viva the "how many foxskins can we pull off from Bruce Lee" technique.

Liu-Kang is not the big hero of Mortal Kombat. Johnny Cage is the hero cause he officially killed Goro. Plus I like Zombie Kang better cause he looks less asian. Johnny Cage is the true champ of MK.

i think instead of using zombie liu, they should go with the spirit version of him that you train with in deception.

Cage never killed Goro, and Noob Saibot only managed to bring him on the verge of doom. Liu defeated Goro in the OFFICIAL CANON of the games. The movies, cartoons and comics mean shit.

A word with you. Liu Kang is dead and should stay dead. His zombie was cool and all but alltogether I hate Liu Kang and he was a cappy hero.

I was hoping for that version also. It looks like they were going to put Spirit Kang in but decided to scrap the idea, maybe because they couldn't think of a logical way for spirits to cause physical pain. When you train with spirit Liu Kang in konquest, he does have a slightly new look. Who knew that spirits change their pants.

Hopefully he returns like a Zombie.
Honestly, I was sick of Liu Kang, and MKDA did one of the best things to the storyline by killing the main hero. Its not that I hate him, no way, because he is a true classic, I like him, but the problem was that he was always the same...way too repetitive, even more then the others who also need story twists.
And when I found out he was back in MKD I was upset, I hated the idea. I thought it was so stupid and it took away the essence MkDA gave the storyline.
BUT once I found out he was a Zombie....wow, and once we finally saw him....Another big WOW. He FINALLY had a new storyline, an interesting one I should add.
I hope Liu Kang returns as a Zombie to finish his mission and solve the mistery of who controls who etc. Hopefully they have a new story for him and not the one of “soul VS body” we saw in MKD.
Liu Kang once again is one of my faves, thanks to the Zombie storyline. It has potential and can add many twists to the story.

Erm, Zombie Liu Kang is a soulless husk that is going around killing people so I think you mean Spirit Liu Kang or "Ghost" as he was called in Konquest.
The "Soul vs. Body" storyline will have to be back in one way or another if the zombie forum is returning as Liu Kang's primary costume and I don't have a problem with that because it will have only been repeated twice while the previous "Champion of Mortal Kombat" storyline was repeated four times.
If Liu Kang returns in MK8 then I think that he should take over Bo' Rai Cho's role - No, not being an old fat drunk who farts alot for comic relief - as mentor of the next generation's Mortal Kombat champion.

hagu do some studying please. To be trutfhul there really hasn't been a hero since MK4. And to suggest that Johnny Cage is the hero and not just your favorite character is as childish as saying scorpion, Sub and reptile are brothers!

they really should revive lui kang. i mean it was pretty kool that he died and he was a zombie and verything but if they r gonna use all the characters they should use the orginals...including "living" kang ( on that note i would like to see reptile like MK:SM instead of MK:DA, like half-human, half lizard ninja ). it wouldnt bother me if they put zombie kang as his 2nd costume though.

yeah they should revive him, but with a different storyline. like he's out for revenge or something

Hey man Liu Kang started the whole MK likeness to me I love him in all the Mk's first of cause he had simple moves and was mostly everebobies first character to really know how to play with!! So do I think they should bring him back? HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!

i agree liu needs to be alive its not the same. i think zombie liu was the worst idea midway has done surpased by the dark raiden crap. i don't like them and i think are not canon. fu**ing midway ed boon is going to pay and i don't care how many guys in pallet swap ninja siuts guard him.as liue g said in gta3 I want compensation for this insult!

i don't really like the zombie look...just cause it's weird i wish they hadn't brought him back at all, not till armageddon atleast i think we really needed him in MKD.
but yeah i just wish they would change his design, why give him the freaking chains if he doesn't do anything with them.

hello i am new at this but i am still a huge fan. now listen u cnt change lui kang 2 being human cz thats just changein his whole story . theres a reason why he is a zombie remember. shang stung took his soul then wen he died his soul was released with the mind of kanos.
