Hey guys,

Thread fled the first page kind of quickly, but I was happy to see the replies so far! =)

Bit of sad news, however...

I'm going to be going away this weekend to Connecticut and will most likely only come back on Columbu's Day afternoon/night, or in other words, right before MK:A.

I'll do my best to try and finish up at least the final part of Khan's ending from there, although I cannot guarantee that it will be possible. I'll definately update everyone on how things are looking once I know for sure.

Thank you very much for sticking with the thread this long, though, regardless of wether it is nearing its end or not! It was definately worth it to write these endings, and I don't regret any of the time I spent on them! smile

Ha, I wish... I'm not getting it till maybe tomorrow. I'm veeeery jealous of all these people down in Texas who will be able to get it today... sad

Bleh, anyway, here's Part 3... Omg, this is constantly getting bigger and bigger, so sad to say (or not), this is not the final part, I'll need at least one more. =/

~~ PART 3 ~~

Upon hearing this, Khan forces himself to get back onto his feet, feeling within himself a concrete determination to not allow the title he felt was rightfully his to fall onto the hands of Onaga. The Dragon King snarls and bares his serrated teeth when Khan recovers. They gape at each other with pure hatred in their eyes, before Onaga opens up his mouth and hurls a colossal wave of fire at Khan, from which the emperor defends himself by conjuring up a shield formed of a green energy. The flames come into contact with the shield and are unable to go through it, as they slide across its surface and are sent sideways in different directions.

The exact moment Shao Khan watches the flames cease, however, his sight fills with the frightening image of Onaga shooting towards him once again. Not oblivious to the fact that Khan’s shield is impervious, Onaga leaps over his head and lands behind him, swinging his claw towards Khan’s exposed back as soon as he lands. Unfortunately for him, Shao Khan proves to be more of a challenge than The Dragon King previously anticipated: he immediately turns around (the shield vanishes), his extended arms tightly gripping the Wrath Hammer’s handle. As Onaga’s attack closes in on its mark, the Wrath Hammer immediately smashes onto the surface of his right hand. The Dragon King roars in pain and spins around from the impact, giving Khan a perfect chance to place all of his strength into one second strike from his weapon. Similar to the final blow he had landed on Queen Sindel during their battle, Khan smashes Onaga in the back with the Wrath Hammer. He successfully puts all of his force into this one attack, but the results are far from what he expected: rather than flying into the air and off-scene as Sindel did, Onaga is simply sent spinning into the air few feet forward, finally falling face-first onto the ground hardly far from where Shao Khan currently stands. We get a close-up shot of Khan’s widened eyes under his Skull Helmet as he ponders what he can do to best this powerful opponent in kombat.

He has no more than a few moments to think this over; the Edenian traitor Tanya suddenly attacks him from behind, jumping at him and wrapping her arms around his neck, choking the emperor. Shao Khan struggles to get her off as Tanya takes out her Kobu Jutsu. Before she can stab him, however, Shao Khan manages to get a hold of her arm and violently hurls Tanya to the ground. She slides across the floor, her weapons falling from her hands in the process. Wasting no time, however, she gets back up just as Shao Khan turns back to face the fallen Onaga, who begins to sit back up. Refusing to allow him the time to recover and get back into the fight (and realizing Tanya was now being taken care of by Jade, whom he presumed defeated), Khan now leaps high into the air and falls towards Onaga, bringing his Wrath Hammer down towards the dragon’s head with all of his might. Onaga glares at his incoming adversary, than growls loudly as he flies up in order to meet him midair. Khan was not expecting a move such as this, but attempts to keep the upper hand by swinging his weapon at the Dragon King as he closes in. Onaga cups both of his hands into a fist and strikes the exposed handle of the hammer, blocking the attack, only to have Khan quickly bounce back into the offense and land a devastating blow to his stomach, followed by a second one that nails the Dragon King in his right side. The menacing monster is sent plummeting to the floor below, with Khan hot on his trail, preparing his weapon for another strike. Onaga is not going to allow him to land another hit: when Khan is close enough to him, he stops the oncoming Wrath Hammer with both of his hands, then proceeds to grab a hold of the exposed handle and tug at it in an attempt to withdraw it from its owner’s hands. Shao Khan shows no intentions of losing his Wrath Hammer a second time, and puts up a tough fight as he pulls at it continuously. Frantic to gain the upper hand, Onaga then raises his right knee and strikes Khan in the midsection, presenting himself with the chance to finally take the Wrath Hammer into his possession. Shao Khan staggers backwards as has no time to recuperate from the attack as Onaga drives the hammer into his Skull Mask, fueled by intense anger. Khan’s mask shatters instantly and knocks him onto his back. Onaga throws the Wrath Hammer off-scene and walks up to the fallen Khan slowly.

Onaga: “I am not as powerful as I was moments ago... if that old fool and his allies had not destroyed my Kamidogu, you would be dead by now, Khan!” (Onaga approaches Shao Khan and grabs him by the skull emblem on the straps around his torso, raising him up). “And it is thanks to you that they had the chance to do so! I know it was you and your sorcery that called the Amulet from me at the crucial moment when I was to reunite the realms into one!” (We get a close-up shot of Onaga’s left fist as he stretches out his fingers and apparently prepares to strike Khan with a final blow from his claws). “But no matter... once you are no longer, I will stand as sole emperor of Outworld, and as you did before, I will branch out and conquer the remaining realms: Kamidogu or not, Amulet or not, I alone will hold authority over reality!”

Khan struggles unsuccessfully to free himself from the dragon’s grasp, and so resorts to releasing his Explosive Blast projectile in an attempt to do so. The blast collides with Onaga’s face and knocks him backwards. He refuses to release Khan, however, keeping a strong hold of the skull emblem as he lands back onto his feet, blood running down from his forehead and jaw. Feeling nothing more than passionate rage, Onaga now raises his left arm high into the air, his claws gleaming forebodingly.

He is about to hit his target when an ethereal green arrow suddenly drives itself through his chest, followed by a rope with a tipped Kunai on its end, which sinks into the upper area of his back. Onaga drops Khan, yelping in pain. He now brings his left hand to the Kunai on his back and pulls it off. The rope quickly flies backwards to its unseen owner, whom Onaga sees as soon as he turns around to face his attackers: in the distance stands Shujinko (gashes and bruises covering a good part of his face), with Nightwolf and Scorpion (also showing signs of a previous battle) standing at either sides. The Dragon King turns his attention to these three newly-arrived warriors and, walking away from Khan, makes his way towards them. The camera shifts position and brings its focus to the trio.

Shujinko: “Nightwolf: Scorpion and I will keep Onaga occupied in kombat. That should provide you with the time you need in order to successfully perform the ritual which, according to you, will bring about his death.”

Nightwolf: “Correct. However, you must not take this battle far from this area, as the scripture must be drawn in a circle around the target.”

Onaga looms closer, and Nightwolf runs sideways and off-scene.

Shujinko: “Scorpion... are you prepared for this battle?”

Scorpion: “Yes, not let us not waste any more time. It is the wish of the elder gods that Onaga be killed before he can further harm the realms.”

Shujinko (assuming his stance and looking ahead at the incoming Dragon King): “And I understand that, as their true champion, you will not surrender until that happens! We share an equal goal, and I will assist you until it is achieved!”

Onaga finally reaches the two warriors and sends a straight punch towards Scorpion, who teleports behind him and lands a spinning kick to his back. The Dragon King staggers forward only to be met with Shujinko’s Flying Jinko move: the aging warrior performs a variation of Raiden's Flying Thunder God move, flying towards Onaga while emitting small shockwaves from his body and shoving his opponent forward continuously. Onaga is struck by the attack and pushed for a good distance, but refuses to succumb to the attack, and nails Shujinko in the jaw with a mighty uppercut, sending the warrior flipping backwards and landing onto his head. Just then, Scorpion’s rope approaches him rapidly a second time. The Dragon King sidesteps it this time, and is about to grab a hold of the rope when his body suddenly becomes encased by ice, courtesy of Shujinko’s Freeze projectile. Scorpion takes back his rope and teleports in front of the frozen Dragon King, performing his Backflip Kick and smashing the dragon’s massive body with both his feet. The ice shatters and Onaga is knocked backwards. Shujinko now attacks Onaga with his Burning Fist move, but the Dragon King evades it and immediately wraps his right hand around Shujinko’s neck, not only choking him, but sinking his claws slowly into his flesh.

Onaga: “Old fool! You may have shattered my Kamidogu, but I am still powerful enough to tear a decrepit warrior like you limb from limb!”

Scorpion flies at Onaga from behind with a punch, but the Dragon King spins around in the knick of time, clouting the specter in the head with his left fist and knocking him sideways before turning back to Shujinko, a streak of blood sliding down his neck.

Onaga: “Your death will be slow and painful... to compliment the wasted years of your worthless life which you spent serving ME!”

Onaga cackles coldly at his own derision. Shujinko feels the life being drained from him, and probably would have met his death at that very moment had Shao Khan not struck his attacker from behind with the Uplifting Knee attack. The Dragon King releases Shujinko and cuts the air, finally falling headfirst onto the terrain. Shujinko holds his neck and gets back onto his feet, turning to Shao Khan.

Shujinko: “Thank you for your help!”

Shao Khan: “You fool, I did not do this for you! But we share a common enemy, and I can use all the help possible!”

Shujinko: “Then an allegiance!” (Shujinko looks to the distance and sees Nightwolf drawing an almost-complete circle in the sand around the fighting area). “We must battle the Dragon King with all of our might, for he is an overwhelming foe! If we can subdue him long enough, Nightwolf will complete his ritual and bring about his doom!”

Shao Khan (pondering as he looks around at all the warriors present):Their assistance may very well be essential if I am to stand victorious over Onaga... hopefully I will still have enough strength to slay them all once the Dragon King is dead...

Onaga has gotten back up by now, and intent on disposing of his many adversaries, he charges at Shujinko and Khan with a series of three punches. Shujinko evades the first one and positions himself behind Onaga, while Khan blocks the other two. Shujinko now performs his Burning Fist attack once more, this time hitting the Dragon King full in the back, both damaging and enraging him. Furiously, Onaga spins around towards Shujinko with a backhand punch to the side of his face, knocking the old warrior down on impact. This gives Shao Khan a chance to land his Charging Spikes move. The spikes on his shoulders sink into the Dragon King’s back and knocks him forward a slight distance. Onaga turns to face his rival and sends a combination of punches and kicks towards him. Khan defends himself successfully from most of them, but fails to evade the final uppercut by Onaga, which lands on his jaw with surprising speed, knocking Khan away. It is Scorpion who attacks now and summons his Hellfire beneath Onaga’s feet. The Dragon King roars in pain and sends his own wave of flames towards Scorpion, who teleports over the projectile and descends onto Onaga with two successful punches and a spinning kick to the side of his face. Onaga feels dazed, and as a result, wildly swings his right fist towards Scorpion. Unfortunately for the specter (who was flying towards Onaga once more), the fist catches him in his midsection, and the feral attack hurls Scorpion into the air. Shujinko now recovers, and attempts to nail the dragon in the back with his Flipping Heel Kick, but does not manage to land this surprise this time: Onaga quickly grabs a hold of Shujinko’s right leg as it comes down onto him, flips him over his own head, and smashes Shujinko face-first onto the rough earth as pebbles and dust rise into the air. Shujinko now feels completely drained and is helpless to react as Onaga wraps both of his large hands around Shujinko’s torso and squeezes with all of his strength. We hear the sickening sound of his bones making a cackling sound, while Shujinko shouts in pain and struggles to free himself. The screen now shifts to Nightwolf, who has just noticed this. He immediately stops drawing the circle (which we see was just inches away from being finished) and sends two Spirit Arrows towards the unsuspecting Dragon King. The first arrow sinks into Onaga’s chest, and the other into his midsection, which is enough to cause him to drop his victim. Nightwolf begins to realize the possible mistake he has just made, however, when Onaga slowly turns to face him, having just properly noticed him. The Dragon King suddenly flies at an astonishing pace towards Nightwolf, who takes out his Tomahawks and prepares to defend himself. Onaga swings his claws nonstop towards Nightwolf, but the shaman combatant shows great skill as he blocks all the attacks with the use of his weapons, finally ducking one of them and taking this chance to cut the lower part of Onaga’s right leg with his right Tomahawk. The Dragon King shouts at the sudden pain, and as Nightwolf begins to get back up, strikes him across his entire body with a forceful kick. The Native American fighter is knocked into a nearby mound, and has barely just enough time to react when Onaga sends a wave of flames in his direction. Nightwolf kicks off the mound and leaps over the flames, descending towards Onaga and cutting the right side of the dragon’s face with his Tomahawks. He then attempts to land a critical hit to the Dragon King by swinging both of his Tomahawks at once towards the monster, which proves to be his undoing: Onaga is quick to take both of Nightwolf’s wrists into his own hands, sinking his claws into it as he flies high into the air and finally hurls his victim down towards the ground. Nightwolf lands onto the earth with such force that he bounces back into the air. Onaga sees in this a chance he simply cannot waste. He leaps upwards, flapping his wings for momentum, and as Nightwolf falls back down, strikes him in the midsection with his right claws. The claws sink into its victim, blood running down Onaga’s scaly hands.

Shujinko (running towards this scene): “Nightwolf!!!”

We get a close-up shot of the malevolent grin on the Dragon King’s face before he flings Nightwolf’s body into the mound once again... this time, however, Nightwolf does not get back up.

Shujinko (charging at Onaga with the Burning Fist): “Damn you!”

With a jab, Onaga stops Shujinko’s attack from connecting, then grabs him by the arms and throws him a short distance upwards, setting him up for a flying punt-kick by Onaga that launches Shujinko a large distance. The screen follows Shujinko as he flies through the air and finally falls onto the ground, where the mystifying ninja Ermac stands.

Ermac (helping Shujinko back up): “You must be cautious when battling this foe, for his sheer power is enough to cause concurrent deaths!”

Shujinko: “Thank you, Ermac... are you here to join our battle against the Dragon King?”

Ermac: “We are here seeking not only Onaga’s demise, but the emperor Shao Khan’s as well! Both are malevolent beings who will bring about nothing other than suffering and torment to the realms which they rule!”

Shujinko: “You mustn’t! The Outworld emperor is on our side, aiding us in kombat against a much greater foe!”

Ermac: “Once The Dragon King perishes, Shao Khan will waste no time in taking back his status as ruler of Outworld... you do not know of his wicked deeds, Shujinko, therefore you cannot understand our concern with such a thing happening! We are not leaving here until either we are dead, or both Khan and Onaga are!”

~~ END OF PART 3 ~~

Alright, I'm back and ready, so I'll check back for the comments ASAP! Meanwhile, I'll go chase down people who could get the game earlier to ask questions, and cry a bit over me having to wait until tomorrow. ..

Damn! There's a line-up to fight those two bastards eh!? NICE!!! Everyone wants a piece of them, which is a great set-up for your amazing endings!

Thanks for cheering me up dude, I was disappointed (and still am) about the fatalities thing on MK:A, but your ending got me in better spirits! =)

Wish you worked for Midway, 'cause you'd give MK a great quality!! Just don't kill Sindel or Scorpion! ARGGHH!!!

*anxiously waiting for part 4*

P.S. Both sigs are cool (Sonya is in them, yayyy!!) but I prefer the older one. HOWEVER the new one looks nice as well.

Alright guys, here's the deal...

As much as I'm probably gonna get bashed for this, I just got the game last night, and I'm gonna need to spend a while "getting over it", if you know what I mean. Just give me a while to mess around with it, see some endings, do some of the Konquest, see what the KAK (which has too little options, I might add) can really do, etc...

Then I'll come back and finish up the story (if you guys still want it).

What do you say? wink

Okay, guys, I just wanted to let everyone know that I've started work on Part 4. I'm now almost halfway done with it, but I thought it would be a nice idea to alert everyone who's been reading and expecting the final part that I haven't forgot about it.

I'm expecting it to be up either by later tonight or by tomorrow, but I'll keep everyone posted on the progress if things change.

Hopefully you guys aren't sucked into MK:A to the point where you'll miss the final part of Khan's ending wink - Hey, I took a break: just to show that it's possible! grin
