Pretty nice.
Few small Mistakes.

I Hate the fact that chameleon is a saurian but oh well, and so far Reptile again looks like he is counting on someone.sad

But overall i enjoyed it and am eagerly awaiting part 2.

As much as I hate to say this (and I really hate to say it especially since its chameleon) but it looks like Reptile and Khameleon are gonna need help. Its the last of the vamps against the last of the saurians. Hopefully Chameleon and Lothario kill each other off.

You are such a good writer. These endings are perfect.

They seem well planned out. They seem to be getting longer, which I like because of the greater detail you have added.

Great Reptile storyline. You should seriously become a writer.

Part 1 was great looking forward to Part 2.

Wow, these are some great compliments, guys, thanks a lot! Who knows what is in store for me in the future, but writing is definately a fun pasttime for me (as long as I'm writing about something I enjoy, like MK, and as long as people are interested in it, like you guys - if it's any other scenerio, then no guarantees, lol).

Well, here's PART 2 of Reptile's ending, concluding it. Some great fighting, some big surprises, and just an overall engaging finality make this one of my favorites! Hope you guys enjoy it as much or more as you did PART 1...

REPTILE (NITARA, KHAMELEON, CHAMELEON) PART 2

Nitara (still on the floor): “Just the command I have been waiting for!”

Reptile begins to sit back up, rubbing his head; the first thing he sees once he properly opens his eyes, however, is Nitara’s right leg as she descends onto him with her Unicorn Kick, landing with a split and successfully striking her target. Reptile rolls backwards and hops back to his feet, but doesn’t have a moment to catch his breath as Nitara flies towards him in hopes of staying on the offense. The vampire claws the left side of Reptile’s face, then attempts to follow it up with another hit from her left hand when she suddenly sees a long staff pop up right in front of her, smashing her full in the face and knocking her away from her target. Reptile recovers and sees that it was Khameleon who attacked Nitara, having conjured a staff similar to Jade’s. He is about to speak to her when he feels a fist abruptly strike his neck from behind and knock him off scene. Khameleon spins around but has little time to tend to her fallen ally as the scarlet-haired female vampire approaches her quickly, takes her by the arm, flies sideways and finally flings Khameleon into the nearby mound.

Lothario: “See that she does not leave this area with her life, Alyria!”

The vampire Alyria nods dutifully, levitates into the air, and hurls the Blood Spit projectile at Khameleon, who kicks off the ground and jumps over the incoming attack just as it crashes into the mound behind her. Surprisingly enough, the bewitched liquid strikes it forcefully, causing a large amount of debris to fly from its surface. Alyria then flies down at Khameleon and they resume battle.

The screen shifts position and returns us to Reptile and Nitara, who are locked in an intense battle themselves. We see Reptile skillfully evading a combination of attacks from his opponent; once he ducks a final kick, he then rolls besides Nitara and positions himself right behind her. Reptile is about to attempt an attack when the vampire (still with her back to him) suddenly sends continuous strikes from her elbow towards the Saurian. Reptile is hit in the jaw by the first attack, but is still quick enough to defend himself from the remainder of the unexpected combo, giving him a precious chance to catch Nitara with a leg sweep. As she falls the short distance, he releases a quick Energy Orb that has Nitara sliding forcefully across the terrain.

Reptile: “You see now how unfortunate it iss that you no longer have any power over me!” (He takes out his Kirehashi blade). “Ssuch irony that nothing can shield you from your defeat by the very ssame blade you had given to me!”

Reptile leaps into the air and descends with his blade aimed directly at the fallen Nitara, who reacts with impressive speed as she takes out her Kama weapons, sits up, and blocks the incoming sword with them. Reptile struggles to cut through Nitara’s defense, but fails; refusing to retreat, however, he positions his sword high over his head with the intention of bringing it down on Nitara with a greater force. Unfortunately for Reptile, this proves to be a bad move, as it gives Nitara time to punt-kick him in his midsection and rise back onto her feet while striking him in the right cheek and torso with the Kama blades. Reptile falls headfirst onto the ground, green blood dripping from a mid-sized cut on his torso and a second, smaller one on his right cheek.

Lothario: “Finish him off, Nitara!”

Nitara snarls and prepares to deal the final strike from her weapons when a green, slithering concentration of Hado-Energy strikes her, knocking her off her feet upon contact. We catch a brief glimpse of the confused look on Emperor Lothario’s face before he looks around frantically and searches for the owner of the projectile; but all he sees is a strange, semi-visible human form that runs through the scene towards Reptile and finally takes the form of a translucent ninja in a teal and black outfit.

Khameleon (near the mound, having just noticed this scene): “Chameleon!”
Just as Khameleon utters this simple word, the vampire Alyria charges at her and swings her right hand rapidly, clawing the Saurian ninja and following it up with a second punch from her left fist. Khameleon evades this last attack, and retaliates with the Blazing Nitro Kick attack, surrounding herself with a green force and landing a powerful kick that knocks Alyria on her back. Instantly realizing she will have no time as of now to interact with her brother and ally, Khameleon jumps back into action and resumes her battle with the vampire.

The screen returns to Reptile and Chameleon, who looks down at his fellow Saurian with glowing eyes, silent.

Reptile (suddenly looking alarmed): “Behind you!”

Chameleon spins around only to have his sight filled with two Kama blades being swung at him. He is unable to evade them in time, feeling a strong sting on his left arm as he is hit. But, showing incredible speed even after being injured, he wastes no time is grabbing Nitara’s right arm before she can regain balance, and hurling her backwards with a Judo throw.

Chameleon (to Reptile): “Resume your battle.”

Reptile goes after Nitara, swinging his Kirehashi blade. Chameleon turns around to face the only member of the vampire trio still unopposed, and free to intervene in his allies’ behalf whenever necessary. He assumes his stance, only to be scoffed by the vampire realm’s Emperor.

Lothario: “I must say I am slightly impressed by your courageous interference, Saurian. But I would advise you to ponder deeply before challenging me. Perhaps you would be better off aiding one of your allies, who will undoubtedly need your help in a fight against two of my realm’s best warriors.”

Chameleon: “And leave you free to jump in whenever the Saurians gain the upper hand? Fight now, or stand your ground as I slay you without a struggle!”

Lothario (growling loudly): “Fool!”

The long, jet-black “cape” covering Emperor Lothario’s back suddenly separates into two halves; as this happens, we soon come to the realization that they are two substantial, black bat wings, similar in form but much bigger than Nitara’s and Alyria’s, casting a shadow in the ground in front of him. Lothario then extends his right hand in Chameleon’s direction. We see a black light emit from his hand, right before a large number of bats are released from within it and fly in a straight line and at an astonishing pace towards Chameleon. The Saurian ninja barely has time to react as the bats encircle both of his arms, and then return at the same speed back to their caster, taking him along. Once Chameleon is close enough to Lothario, the bats instantly vanish amid a black mist, giving the vampire Emperor more than enough time to put all his strength into an uppercut that heaves Chameleon into the air. Lothario takes off into the air after Chameleon and lands a combination of attacks midair right before sending the ninja crashing into the ground below with a powerful throw. Chameleon hands hard on his back, causing a loud thud, as well as many stones and dust to fly upwards at the impact. Lothario continues to float midair, looking soberly down at his fallen opponent. Unforeseen by the emperor is Chameleon’s next move: the Saurian ninja raises his right arm into the air and summons a blue lightning bolt that crashes down onto the vampire, flinging him downwards in Chameleon’s direction. Chameleon now vanishes and reappears just behind the falling emperor, catching him with a dropkick that only increases his momentum. Lothario smashes into the ground, and due to his much more massive structure in comparison to Chameleon’s, the ground suffers heavier damage from the collision. Chameleon lands few feet away from his fallen foe. Lothario turns to face him, frowning furiously; he then lets out a vociferous roar, baring his unusually long fangs. The deadening noise stuns Chameleon, who puts his hands to the sides of his face and staggers backwards as though he was pushed by a weighty object. Lothario wastes no time, and releases his Ensnaring Bats projectile a second time, drawing his victim to him once more. As Chameleon nears him, however, he reacts differently than before: the vampire emperor dematerializes (taking the form of a group of bats clustered together in a human shape) and flies behind Chameleon in the blink of an eye before returning to his original state again. After this quick teleport, Lothario hurls his massive fireball and watches as it smashes into Chameleon’s back and sends the Saurian sliding face-first across the coarse terrain.

Lothario: “I will make you suffer at the time of your death for striking me!”

He now takes out his weapon; we see that it is a dark sword, with two grayish spikes jutting out from its handle, sinking into the lower half of the blade, and finally extending out of the blade’s tip as one thick, razor-sharp spike. We also see a crimson orb on the upper half of the handle, which, curiously enough, seems to be pumping a red liquid into the inside of the blade. Lothario charges at Chameleon, determined to finish him off; but the screen shifts position and returns us to the fight between Khameleon and Alyria.

The first thing we see is Alyria falling on her back, and Khameleon leaping into the air after her as she conjures two Sais into her hands. The Saurian female attempts to impale her fallen adversary as she lands, but Alyria quickly rolls sideways to avoid the weapons. She then sits up and brings her left leg down on Khameleon’s arms with a Unicorn Kick (disabling her from another impaling attempt), then follows up with a spinning kick by her right leg that catches its target full in the face, knocking Khameleon into the ground. We now see Alyria levitate into the air once more and send a Blood Spit projectile at Khameleon; the projectile knocks into the Saurian as she begins to recover, slamming the upper half of her body vigorously into the ground, causing great damage. Alyria chuckles and attempts to stay on the offensive by coming down towards her opponent with a dropkick. Khameleon performs a successful back roll to evade it and catches Alyria with the Rolling Thunder attack. As a result, the vampire falls headfirst on the opposite side of Khameleon, but shows great skill as she recovers almost instantaneously and lands a leg sweep on the Saurian. As Khameleon nears the ground, Alyria performs a back flip and nails the ninja with a mighty kick from both feet, popping her further upwards. Taking advantage of the momentum, Alyria sums up all of her remaining strength into her right arm and swings it towards Khameleon, who is helpless to react as the vampire’s claws slash the side of her face, extracting four streaks of green blood that drip onto the ground as Khameleon spins backwards and falls.

Alyria: “Since your animal blood is worthless to me, I suppose I should think of a more creative method of finishing you off... perhaps scorched to a crisp?”

Khameleon does not reply; instead, she swiftly manages to recover, standing back up in one quick motion. We get a close-up shot of Alyria’s face, as her smile contorts itself into an irritated frown. She snarls at Khameleon, baring her teeth, then dashes towards her to finish the job. To our surprise, Khameleon stands motionless as the vampire looms closer and closer. When it seems as though she is done for, Khameleon then sinks her whole body into the ground and performs the Teleport Kick, tossing Alyria backwards into the air. The vampire lands on her feet. Khameleon now conjures another pair of Sais and throws them at her challenger. We see Alyria quickly dispose of the weapons by sending a Blood Spit projectile at them, knocking them both out of scene. But as soon as this happens, however, two more newly-summoned Sais chase her down. Alyria has no time to defend herself from the two unexpected blades, and they sink into her shoulders, flying with her before impaling themselves onto the mound. The vampire is now stuck to the ridge, unable to move.

Alyria: “Damn you! I will rip you limb from limb, you insignificant beast!”

Khameleon now summons the Bo Staff, and forcefully hurls it at Alyria, who screams in surprise as the weapon nears her and finally impales her on the location of her heart. The vampire roars before becoming encased by flames, which disappear moments later, leaving behind only the two Sais and the staff engulfed in flames and stuck onto the mound’s side. Khameleon catches her breath, then spins around and runs to Reptile’s aid.

We are suddenly left with Nitara standing right in front of the screen. She spins her Kama skillfully (so that the blades are now pointing downwards), and then drives them towards the screen, which quickly spins around to show us that it is Reptile who is falling victim to this attack: the blades slit his midsection and pops him up for a mighty uppercut by Nitara. The vampire grins at her apparent victory right before being struck with a Blazing Nitro Kick to her back, courtesy of Khameleon, who quickly runs to Reptile.

Khameleon: “Reptile! Are you alright?”

Reptile: “Yess, I can sstill fight! Nitara will not defeat me so easily!”

Khameleon notices Reptile’s Kirehashi sword on the ground near her. She takes it and sets it in its owner’s hands once again, then helps him get back up. Nitara has stood up as well, and curious as to why Khameleon has come for Reptile’s aid, she looks to the right and sees the three weapons flaming on the mound.

Nitara: “So you’ve defeated Alyria? Impressive, especially considering your kind’s inferior fighting skills. However, she was never quite as skilled as me... you will not have the same luck if you insist on interfering with my fight.”

Reptile (to Khameleon): “You musst be careful. Nitara’ss moves are almosst always unpredictable.”

Khameleon: “She can’t defeat us both, Reptile! I promise you that!”

Khameleon swiftly materializes behind Nitara with the Pixie Dust Teleport and swings a Steel Fan at her. Nitara ducks the razor-sharp edge of the weapon and comes back up with an uppercut to Khameleon, who quickly hops backwards to avoid the attack. Nitara now takes flight once more and leaps over her new opponent’s head, lands behind her, and cuts her back with her Kama blades, green blood flying into the air. It is now Reptile who teleports behind Nitara and performs his Power Slide, secreting a trail of green fluid as he dexterously knocks the vampire off her feet and sends her soaring backwards with another Energy Orb as she falls. Nitara lands on her back, and as soon as she opens her eyes, she sees Khameleon plummeting down towards her with a Teleport Kick. Nitara chucks one of her Kama at the incoming fighter, who shows great speed as she kicks the weapon away, and still manages to continue the descending kick with her left leg. At the knick of time, Nitara rolls backwards and dodges the kick, only be struck with a second one just as Khameleon lands. The Saurian ninja now runs after her to continue the assault; in a desperate move to slow her down, Nitara hurls her remaining weapon; this time, the blade sinks into Khameleon’s right leg. She yelps and reaches for the blade, pulling it off as streaks of green blood run down her thigh. Nitara thinks about charging at Khameleon now that she has the upper hand, but even her thoughts are interrupted as an invisible Reptile attempts to catch her off-guard with a surprise attack from his sword, which she dodges (the sword is still visible). Nitara does her best to sidestep the continuous assault by Reptile’s “floating” weapon, surprising even herself by being startlingly successful in doing so, and finally causing Reptile to reappear by clouting him with a spinning kick to the head. She now hears footsteps behind her, and swiftly spins around to block an incoming straight punch by Khameleon, grab her arm, launch her into the air, then send her off scene with a skillful flying kick in Reptile’s direction; to her surprise, however, Khameleon falls on the ground, and Reptile is nowhere to be seen. We catch a brief look at Nitara’s astounded face before she hears a noise and turns around, only to be met with a colossal wave of acid coming from Reptile’s open mouth. Nitara feels an intense burning sensation throughout her whole body as the acidic liquid swarms every inch of it. Realizing she is unable to attack, Reptile now successfully impales Nitara with his Kirehashi sword. He manages to catch a glimpse of Nitara’s furious face beneath the green liquid as she growls crossly, but does not think twice and quickly takes out his sword. Nitara falls onto the ground.

Khameleon: “We did it, Reptile! Together, we can defeat an—!”

Khameleon cannot finish her statement as a colossal fireball clashes with her back and sends her cutting through the air a great distance before falling, unconscious, onto the ground far from Reptile.

Reptile (running to her): “Khameleon!!!”

Reptile takes no more than four steps before a swarm of bats surround his arms and pulls him backwards into a jet-black blade, which sinks into his chest. We then see Lothario swing his blade forcefully, causing it to release Reptile and send the Saurian sliding across the ground, leaving a band of green blood as he does so.

Lothario: “I hoped I would not have to intrude in order to slay you and your allies! But obviously, and unlike the rest of your race, you three are greatly skilled in the art of kombat. A shocking, even if infuriating, fact.”

Reptile struggles to get back up, but still only manages to get onto his knees. He looks around him, and as the camera takes over his vision, we see Khameleon’s motionless body in the distance, as well as Chameleon, who lies on his back not far from there, a pool of green blood beneath him. This scene is followed by a close-up shot of Reptile, his eyes widened with horror. Surprising us and Emperor Lothario, he stands back up and assumes his stance, blood flowing from his torso. Lothario, although refusing to show the true depth of his shock, looks on with a grave expression.

Lothario: “There is nothing more you can do, Saurian. You are, amazingly enough, still alive... and I will allow you to keep your life if you flee my sight immediately!”

We see Reptile stare straight ahead, and he seems to be shaking harshly.

Lothario: “Leave, you fool! My compassion has its limits! There is no hopes of you defeating me: you are severely injured, and both of your allies are dead!”

Lothario’s final word suddenly echoes repeatedly, and the screen zooms into Reptile’s blank face slowly. The background of the battlefield is now replaced with foggy images: a gray, stormy sky sending lighting bolts crashing down onto a group of Saurians... Shao Khan’s blazing eyes, and a massive fire behind him... Reptile himself kneeled down onto a darkened ground surrounded by lava and flames... Khameleon extending her hand towards the screen... and finally, Khameleon lying unmoving, in present time, on the ground far from him.

In one startling moment, Reptile opens up his mouth and hisses loudly, then charges at an incredible velocity towards Lothario. Blood continuously flies from his many wounds, but nothing seems to top him as he continues charging at the only target he can see in front of him, as though he had not suffered a single scratch all this time. Reptile closes in on Lothario, and the emperor slashes his midsection in an attempt to slow him down. The Saurian seems to completely ignore this grave attack, and shouting loudly, jumps up and claws his mark’s face twice. Lothario swings his sword at Reptile once more, but Reptile extends his tongue from his mouth and wraps it around the handle of the blade, then tugs at it and causes the weapon to be hurled away from its master’s grasp. Not a fraction of a second later, Reptile leaps at Lothario yet again and repeatedly attacks him. Lothario constantly strikes Reptile, even smashes him with two fire projectiles, but nothing hinders the frantic Saurian from continuing his assault until he could no longer breathe. Lothario throws Reptile as far as he can the first chance he gets, then runs to Nitara’s body and takes her right wrist.

Lothario: “Hopefully you are not entirely gone, Nitara... but even if so, I would not leave your body at the mercy of this wild beast!”

Lothario turns his head and sees Reptile get back up and charge at him yet again. He then grips the gemstone around his neck and opens up a portal beside him, in which he throws himself and Nitara’s body into. Reptile would have ran in after him if the portal had not vanished moments before he arrived. He breathes heavily, then falls to his knees, both exhausted and miserable. Reptile stays there, beaten down not only by his many injuries, but by a strong sense of failure... until he feels a hand touch his right shoulder, and a soothing voice come from behind him.

Khameleon: “We can still make it...”

Reptile turns slowly to face Khameleon, who holds her injured stomach tightly with her left hand, which is smudged by green blood. Overcome by a strange, foreign feeling he had never been affected by all his dejected life, he takes her right hand holding his shoulder (we notice the scales on Reptile’s hand have become translucent, and has started to resemble a human hand, with black claws on the end of his fingers). He now stands up slowly, struggling to do so, and the two Saurians turn around and, as best as they can, make their way onward...

PICTURE: On the picture, we see Reptile being held around his midsection by Khameleon as she helps him through a bright portal. This image, however, is almost see-through, allowing us to make out the curious background of the overall picture: a verdant field, and a visible marshy area covered by wet earth on the horizon, all this beside an extensive lake filled with green water.

Successfully cloaking themselves and making their way unseen around the battlefield, Reptile and Khameleon, as the two last members of the Saurian race, arrived in the locale cited by Khameleon without further harm. Without the luxury of being able to wait for a portal of a familiar nature, they entered the very first that appeared before them, anxious to leave the death-filled area behind. When they felt their feet touch firm ground once again, they had arrived at an unknown realm, similar in composition to the Earthrealm, their home of millions of years ago. Although they could not be sure this realm was as deserted as it looked, there was no going back now. The two Saurians recovered there from their intense prior battles, with hopes of a rebirth to their race in mind for the future...

There you go. Remember to post your thoughts on the second and final part, as well as both if you haven't yet grin!!!

Definately another ending on the way. Although something kinda worries me: there's practically only 1 week left until Armageddon (w00t!) -- would that be enough time for me to write that big final ending, as well as Taven's and Daegon's? (Remember I hold Taven and his bro as the 'protagonists' of MK:A's story). I dunno, we'll see how it goes... things haven't been decided for sure yet.

Can't wait to hear everyone's feedback on Reppy's ending (did anyone notice yet the new title? lol)

More to come...

Spectacular as always. I was surprised to actually see Chameleon die but I can't say I was upset. Do you think anyone actually would be? ^_^ Sensational writing. I don't know if you'll have time for both the huge ending as well as Taven and Daegon's. Maybe do the big one first and then Taven and Daegon's if we have the time? That is, unless they are intertwined in the big final. I'm just so desperate to hear what you have in store for my beloved Shao Kahn...

Great story, i hope your getting your necessary dp's for this...however:
I feel it is also necessary to place my input on this, seeing that i am a major Reptile fan and i want to see the credit that he rightfully deserves. So i must put not only the good, but i must feel that i should give the bad and the ugly. Not to be picky, and not to be cruel either...but maybe some pointers to help your future stories, in which i hope do continue.

Good: Love the fact that Reptile ends with a happy ending. He needed one for quite some time now. I also like that he finally gains some self control rather than someone's slave. These are two major factors that he needed to give some potential to his character. More to that even, you added some crucial and key characters to help determine his fate. And I especially loved how the Khameleon vs the other female vampire battle went, that was bloody awesome. More power to yah on trying to add some special moves in there. Bravo, more dragon points thrown your way. Also I loved how you described the scene, showing and not telling can make a big difference. My final note on the good was how you gave Reptile the strength to fight this vamp and gave a final good fight before it ended.

Bad: And I shall apologize now if I offend your superb writing skills in any way, because that is not what im getting at here. One thing I guess bugged me was the fact that Reptile was not much of a fighter in his ending. In all his fights he gets his ass whooped unless he had help. I think that Reptile is a much more powerful character than that and probably needed to switch a few things off, like Nitara being teh most powerful Vampire and the male vampire being the second in command. Another thing I didn't care for was Chameleon's scenerio, I mean, nothing was explained about him in that ending except that he was also Saurian. Was he Khameleon's bro? What was his intentions? Where was he this whole time? And being the fact that he was Khan's deadliest assassin, did he leave Khan? I guess I was hoping a little more from him that's all. And the worst thing was that he was killed as fast as he showed up. Another thing to mention was the fact that Jade and Kitana acted like bullies and jumped Reptile, and not much of a fight broke off. Though I understand that this is in fact an ending and you cannot have all the fights added, but I'm just saying Retile blacked out and was always wounded. I guess it's just hard to see my favorite character like this and never catching a break until the end.

Ugly: Well, I don't really know on ugly, other than the literal term with the gore and Nitara's face all melted up and that sort a thing. So I'm just going to use this as to what I would have added in your particular ending. For example, we all can never agree on what Reptile's costume should be so I figure...have both. Like the fight between Reptile and the male vampire, being so furious on losing everything and that particular moment where Reptile went insane...that is when I would have him transform into a bigger and badder reptilian self that attacks the male vampire, letting his primal rage take over, see what I'm saying? Even add more to that with the male vampire turning into an ugly giant bat and have an animal fight, flying mammals against leaping lizards. This would show Reptile's truest form and power and could grant him a more epic, mysterious, and exciting future for later MK's. Another thing to add is Chameleon, have him a superb fighter and let him and Khameleon tag team the other two vamps. I know Repitle had a vengence thing going for Nitara, but look at how many people want a piece of Khan, Quan Chi, and especially Shang Tsung and not everyone can be satisfied with their vengence so what's the acception here? All I am saying is let Reptile be the domniant fighter here to at least give him the benefit of the doubt, making people regret to ever underestimate a pissed off Saurian.

I am sorry if I offended you seeing all the compliment replies you have recieved, but being a REptile fan I just want to see an ending that shows how cool, intimidating, ferocious, and mysterious warrior he was in MKI and MKII, because after those two games, people just thought he was not much of a fighter, but a pathetic lizard having no mind of his own and working for the very man who ruined his future. And one last thing...There shall be no replacement for Reptile in the future of MK. He was the last in his generation, you cannot replace the moves, the crummy storyline, and the spark he gave to this game. IT would just be like Kira and Jarek replacing Kano in the past. Same moves, same fatalities, different storylines, and not anyone's favorites because you cannot replace the thug who started that. So there better not be a son of Reptile or servant or anyone else replacing him. These are my inputs, how you react to them, I leave up to you.

I am really eager to construct the entire ending that I have in my mind as well. Like I said, it will be divided into parts for sure, considering its length. This means that from start to finish it would take up quite a few days. We'll see how it goes, but I'll definately think about your suggestion, Fortuna, to have the one involving Shao Khan first. More updates on that soon...

ReptilePredatorMK,

I do think you have some valid basis for a lot of your opinions, although I would like to address a few things you mentioned that I'd have to disagree with, just so you get a hint of my point of view and why certain things were as they were.

ReptilePredatorMK Wrote:
Nitara being teh most powerful Vampire and the male vampire being the second in command.

I think it was clear that Emperor Lothario was the superior of the trio, even above Nitara herself. He instantly gained the upper hand against Chameleon, and was only struck down when he declared himself victorious way too early. Nitara was able to hold herself down very well, even against the Reptile/Khameleon team-up, but suffered heavy damage as well, perhaps just as or even more than she dealt them.

ReptilePredatorMK Wrote:

Most of the questions you have made were indeed answered in the ending, mostly by Khameleon's words when she addresses Chameleon whilst speaking to Reptile during their second encounter. She does leave a very obvious hint that Chameleon is her brother, when she mentions that she lost her brother amid the fighting when she spotted Reptile. Since we knew from the beginning that Chameleon was involved, we could automatically have guessed that she was speaking of him. And when he made his appearence on Part 2, Khameleon showed clear surprise that he was alive and knew his name instantly, just furhter stating the fact most would have already assumed, that he is indeed her brother. Khameleon also mentions that Chameleon has been by her side during her quest for Reptile all this time when she is inquired by Reptile as to why she has not devolved as much as he had. So there's the second question. And I believe it was never stated anywhere that Chameleon was an assassin of Khan; if it was, I would appreciate a citation, because I clearly missed it. I view him as a Saurian with relations to Khameleon (it would be very, very weird to have two non-related Saurians with such similar names). That's the role he played here.

ReptilePredatorMK Wrote:
Another thing to mention was the fact that Jade and Kitana acted like bullies and jumped Reptile, and not much of a fight broke off.

What the reader should have gotten from the flashback was that Jade and Kitana had clearly fought Reptile moments before that, and realized that he fled with his life. So obviously, they went after him to finish the job before he could report back to Khan; I think any other warrior in their position would have done the same thing. So they weren't acting like bullies as much as they were making sure that nothing would stand in their way of finding and slaying Khan. And not much of a fight COULD have broken off, because Jade attacked Reptile from behind, dealing an almost-fatal damage to him, not to mention that he was hurt from the previous battle against the two to begin with.

ReptilePredatorMK Wrote:
Well, I don't really know on ugly, other than the literal term with the gore and Nitara's face all melted up and that sort a thing.

Nitara's face didn't melt from the acid - I was going for the liquid doing nothing much bigger than charring her skin slightly. I thought of Reptile's fatality when creating that scene - he jumps on his victim and continuously releases the acid for a good while before the face can be burnt off. With Nitara on this ending, he performed this move with the intention of stunning her, and giving him the chance to attack with the Kirehashi blade.

ReptilePredatorMK Wrote:
Like the fight between Reptile and the male vampire, being so furious on losing everything and that particular moment where Reptile went insane...that is when I would have him transform into a bigger and badder reptilian self that attacks the male vampire, letting his primal rage take over, see what I'm saying? Even add more to that with the male vampire turning into an ugly giant bat and have an animal fight, flying mammals against leaping lizards. This would show Reptile's truest form and power and could grant him a more epic, mysterious, and exciting future for later MK's.

I really can't say I'm very fond of that idea, as intriguing as it sounds. It would make Reptile too much like a "boss" character, resembling an Onaga sort of monster. That doesn't suit him at all, IMO. The animal fight idea reminds me too much of that horrible Aniihilation sequence where Shao Khan turns into a four-headead monster and Liu turns into a dragon, and they fight. That kills it for me, and again, it would portray Reptile in a way that really I don't believe suits him. Yes, he does have a lot of rage inside of him that is released during these "lapses" he's been having in past games, but I don't think it should be interpreted as hidden "power" so much as it is anger itself. You mentioned this would add a more exciting future to Reptile in future MKs - it might if you look at it a certain way, but it could never be implemented gameplay-wise, if that is what you were suggesting. Having him turn from a mid-sized reptilian warrior to a bulky Onaga-like monster would be too exaggerated, and would make Reptile too superior to his counterparts (the rest of the "normal" fighters and ninjas). It's just a sort of ability that would fit a future boss character more than Reptile.

ReptilePredatorMK Wrote:
Another thing to add is Chameleon, have him a superb fighter and let him and Khameleon tag team the other two vamps. I know Repitle had a vengence thing going for Nitara, but look at how many people want a piece of Khan, Quan Chi, and especially Shang Tsung and not everyone can be satisfied with their vengence so what's the acception here?

The exception here would be that Reptile actually encountered Nitara. The same applies for zombie Liu Kang, Kung Lao, and Kenshi - they were the three that encountered Shang Tsung, and thus, were the ones to deal with him (you might have noticed, if you read Scorpion's ending, that Quan Chi would have been the one to do so had he not been taken by Scorpion). It's all a matter of who gets to whom first, and finishes them off. I try to have the biggest enemy of that person encounter them first - Nitara has no clear enemies besides Reptile, so Reptile would be the best choice to encounter and fight her. I'm sure Chameleon has potential as a fighter, but he ended up challenging the emperor of Nitara's realm, who was superior in strength to him. Had he fought Alyria, for example, I'm sure he would have disposed of her, maybe even quicker than his sister did. Also, I saw Chameleon as a "kill-off" character here, and not as major as Reptile and Khameleon (he had no story until now, and consequently, didn't give me much reasons to make him as important).

ReptilePredatorMK Wrote:
there better not be a son of Reptile or servant or anyone else replacing him. These are my inputs, how you react to them, I leave up to you.

I wouldn't be able to promise you that, as I have not given thought to creating a next-gen storyline as I have been doing for MK:A. Judging by the ending, it seems Reptile will be successful in repopulating his race (unless the world he and Khameleon arrived at really isn't uninhabited). Although this sort of ending seems to hint more at Reptile not making a return next-gen, and simply living a life of tranquility as he's always needed, he could always return with a new goal or motive, or, another Saurian descending from him and Khameleon could get in on the action. It's happened before, but again, I haven't given this thought, so I can't say anything.

Hmm.. nah, that hasn't really happened yet sleep

I appreciate your inputs, and hopefully I was able to address them properly.

Keep commenting guys, and I'll keep checking back! Thaks once again for reading and replying, keeping the thread alive and set for future endings!

Hey man! Nice work yet again! Tough I kinda agree with Reptile Predator on a few points. Although Reptile has always lacked his own purpose (and you get extra kudos for taking on the challenge of writing his ending AND trying to develop the character at the same time) I'd think he'd be a better fighter. Kitana and Jade kicked his ass, and for a while Nitara too. Frankly I never liked the idea of vampires in MK (I find it unbelievably pathetic and ridiculous) and I think Saurian's would be stronger warriors due to their primal instincts.
Also, the little love thing between Khameleon and Reptile was... hmm, slightly odd, but it's strictly because I don't see Reptile loving nobody, but that's just me.

Anyhow! It was interesting, refreshing and cool as always! Keep it up one last week before Armageddon falls upon us all! (PS2 owners anyways! lol :P)

I dunno about everyone else but personally I would like to see more Leo endings even after MKA comes out. they're just too damn good to end just because of the release of the game.

Now do Johnny Cage!

Although it was written beautifully and enjoyable to read i will have to say that is was only good to my tastes.
It seems like it's more of a Chameleon and Khameleon ending, the fighting Reptile does he loses and needs the help of another person.
The whole purpose of MKA (To me) anyway is the final chance for Reptile to become a fan favourite again by kicking major ass and unfortunetly it did'nt happen....sad

Not only was the ending freaking sweet but Chameleon dying in the ending was sweet. Not as cool as the entire 2 part ending was though. 1 Million/10 there dude ^_^. It looks like there will be a war between the vampires and saurians in the future though XD.

I've thought about keeping it up even after Armageddon, but (I think, anyway) that most of the MKO community will not be coming online because they'll be too into the game they waited so long to get their hands on. Also, I'm afraid the same will happen to me! lmao - When the week is nearing an end, I'll make a decision.

Johnny Cage = Page 6! =)

It all has to do with who each Saurian was fighting. Khameleon fought Alyria, who I portrayed as the less powerful of the three. Therefore, she was able to defeath her, although suffering great damange in the battle. Nitara, I believe, was the second most powerful of the trio. Reptile had a very tough time fighting her, yes, but he still kicked her ass around pretty good, even eventually being the one to beat her. The Emperor was the most powerful of the trio, fighting Chameleon - And look what became of poor Chameleon. If you analyze the whole ending this way, you will come to realize that Reptile may very well be the strongest of the three Saurians: he did pretty much as well as Khameleon had, and was fighting a stronger enemy than Khameleon was. Hell, he even kicked the Emperor around a bit, making him flee the scene. I think it was a Reptile ending tongue

We're really getting tight with how much time we have left, so I think the best thing to do would be to start focusing on the biggest ending yet, the one involving Shao Khan and a whole mess of other characters. That one's gonna be worse than hangover for me (lmao) ... o_o' .... I was thinking do that one, Taven and Daegon's, then go back to all characters left un-ended as time permits (considering I decide to stop when MK:A arrives).

Well, when you can tear yourself away from Armageddon (I understand how hard it will be) I know I for one will be interested in reading more from you. I'm going to be logging on here more often unlike most other people. The reason is I'm a Nintendo fanboy (and am now waiting for 98% of MKO who hate Nintendo to lynch me ^_^) and so I won't be playing until it come out on the Wii...

I just spent hours on my comp reading every comment and ending. Holy Crap!!!! I would tell you which was my favorite, but they were all great. Even though I'm a Scorp fan, I really like Cyrax/Sektor. This is some of the best work I've EVER READ!!! I've been on this site since late April, and nothing has ever even come close to being this great. I mean, if we had to elect a best writer on the board, you'd take the cake/cupcake/and oil/acid punch. 1000000000000/5grin
