This is the first time I'm reading one of these endings. the title caught my eye as it mentioned my fave character, Raiden.

I have to say that is an excellent ending you've written.

I just hated how he pretty much is evil himself there. sad It's just not him!

Great work, dude!

I have to say I would prefer the old Raiden over the Dark Raiden, but 1) I couldn't find a good way to fit him become "Light" again in his MK:A ending, and 2) I think he would need a whole new storyline that would involve being cleansed of his "taint", which is why I had Raiden go to next-gen still being "Dark" and then hinted at the possibility of him becoming "Light" again during his next storyline.

I salute you, Fujin. tongue 5/5 P.S take your time on the Ermac one.

I gotta say I'd have to give Ermac special thought if making his ending, just because there's not that much to work with besides him repenting his old ways. I'd have to do some thinking as to how I could extend that simple fact into a whole new cause for him, including how to fit him into the chaos of Armageddon in a way that will pit him against another warrior so that he can complete this new "cause". Tough one.

TheSoulOfErmac, I'd have to disagree with you considering Raiden to have turned completely evil in his ending. What I was going for is having his "Dark" new self cause him to be a bit more self-centered, and focus only on himself and the safety of the Earthrealm (no matter what). He obviously considered him to be the better person for the job, and that someone like Fujin would be too "soft" on Earth, a realm that, according to him, needs someone to be strict and linear in order to keep it safe from its own humans. Keeping that in mind, he would, of course, do anything within his power to ensure the best for the realm, which would be him staying as its guardian - thus, the battle between him and Fujin. He didn't fight Fujin because he is evil, but again, because he wants to ensure what's best for Earthrealm (even if many disagree with his view of it). And if you meant him killing off the refugees from Outworld: again, Raiden now seems to only be focused on him and the safety of Earthrealm, so he wouldn't think twice if he had to put in danger the lives of people from other realms in order to ensure his own stayed out of harm's way.

Finally, I gotta say I'm kinda torn between what the next ending should be. In line are Scorpion, the rest of the cyborgs, and also the ending which would shed light to the Sonya/Sub-Zero scene from Cage's ending (since it's been thrown out there, I shouldn't wait too long before bringing it up).

More info to come soon as to when the next one will be. Meanwhile, keep posting, people! tongue

Alright, here's Scorpion's ending. Lucky for me, this is a much shorter one compared to the ones I've been doing lately, so it didn't take me as long to do this one (although I believe quality is still the same as ever).

SCORPION (QUAN CHI)

The scene starts as the screen spins around the pyramid, giving us different shots of its innumerable levels as well as glimpses of some of the battles which are going on on the massive structure itself. From the very upwards tip of the screen we catch a small glance of the swirling flames encircling the uppermost level. The screen now slows down and starts zooming in and focusing on the second level of the pyramid in particular. Once it is close enough to it, we see the necromancer Quan Chi step out of the shadows. He takes two small steps forward, coming closer to the screen. We now get a close-up shot of his blazing red eyes as they search the battlefield. Once the screen starts showing us what he sees, we have a look at more of the battles outside the pyramid, as well as Shang Tsung in particular, who is sneaking around just below Quan Chi on the first level. Another close-up shot of Quan Chi as a grin spreads across his maniacal face and he steps to the edge of the pyramid's second floor, positioning himself just above the unsuspecting Shang Tsung.

Quan Chi (to himself): "I can just picture an envious sorcerer such as yourself meddling with my future plans, Shang Tsung... as before, I will defeat you effortlessly, assuring one less opposition in my way... especially when the first critical strike is mine!"

Quan Chi crouches down on the edge of the second level as though preparing himself to pounce onto his victim. After giving Tsung (who is pushing himself against the first level's wall, looking around frantically) a hard look, Quan Chi finally leaps off the floor towards his first mark. He screams in rage, bringing his right fist back to land a sharp blow. Shang Tsung spins around, wide-eyed... when we suddenly hear the sound of a cord being released. Just as Quan Chi is about to strike Shang Tsung, a rope with a sharp Kunai in its end wraps itself around his neck. Quan Chi tugs at it desperately, unsuccessfully trying to pull it off as it tightens its grip, choking him (he is now dangling midair, while Shang Tsung takes off). The rope then thursts itself backwards as though someone was yanking it, bringing Quan Chi along for the "ride". The sorcerer is helpless to react as he cuts through the air upwards towards an unknown destination, constantly being smashed on the edge of the many levels he passes though. After what seems to him like hours, Quan Chi finally feels his body drop onto the hard floor of the pyramid's ninth level. He holds his neck, gasping and coughing, as footsteps approach him slowly.

Scorpion: "It has been a while since we last met, sorcerer."

A shot of Quan Chi's face. He immediately stops gasping for air, and his face contorts into a forboding frown as he turns to face Scorpion.

Quan Chi: "I see you are a very difficult one to get rid of..."

Scorpion: "Surely you did not think you would destroy me by causing my fall into that pool of acid. I fear you might have the weakness of underestimating your enemies."

Quan Chi (getting back up): "As always, you present yourself as an overconfident fool, as you slowly approach your inevitable failure. In the Netherrealm, my powers decreased significantly, precisely why I was so helpess in a battle against you. But as I hope you remember, the exact opposite is true once I am outside that realm."

Scorpion: "You, sorcerer, are the overconfident fool! I challenge you now more prepared than I have ever been, with newfound strength that you will soon discover!"

Quan Chi (smiling and gradually walking behind Scorpion): "If what you say is the truth, specter..." (The screen closes in on Quan Chi's hands as he silently takes out his two Broadswords) "PROVE IT!"

In a swift movement, Quan Chi claps his Broadswords together in Scorpion's direction, attempting to fatally wound the ninja. Having already expected such a dirty trick from his opponent, however, Scorpion dematerializes on the spot in a fiery burst, only to re-appear behind Quan Chi in the exact same position as before. Quan Chi remains petrified, surprised that he did not land the hit.

Scorpion: "You won't be beating me that easily."

Quan Chi turns his face in Scorpion's direction only to have it struck by a powerful kick from the specter, who whips out his Mugai Ryu Sword and charges at his opponent. The two being a weapon kombat; surprisingly enough, Scorpion is able to defend himself from all of Quan Chi's slashes even though he wields a single sword. The two warriors continuously drive their weapons towards each others with such force that could cause an instant loss of limbs, but neither is able to best the other as their weapons clash together constantly. Realizing that, even with an extra weapon, he is unable to damage Scorpion, Quan Chi now puts an end to it as he teleports high into the air (just as Scorpion's sword is about to cut through him) and throws himself downwards, landing a surprise flying kick to Scorpion's face, who is knocked down. A moment after landing on his feet, Quan Chi then leaps forward in the direction of his fallen adversary and attempts to stomp on him. Scorpion is quick to react, however, as he spins backwards to evade the attack and immediately kicks Quan Chi back with both his feet, flinging himself back into his fighting stance.

Quan Chi: "You were not this agile during our last encounter..."

Scorpion: "You have yet to see everything I've got!"

Scorpion dashes towards Quan Chi, who puts up his Broadswords once more. The ninja then attempts to slash him twice, but only manages to cut the the air as Quan Chi ducks and sidesteps both of his attacks; the determined sorcerer takes advantadge of Scorpion's two failed attacks and strikes his weapon forcefully with both of his Broadswords, temporarily throwing the specter off balance and smashing his head on Scorpion's face, who staggers backwards in pain. Quan Chi believes his adversary to be temporarily defenseless, and goes in for the kill; but Scorpion is far from defeated, and once Quan Chi closes in, he drives his sword directly towards the sorcerer's face. The blade would surely have pierced Quan Chi's face if he hadn't utilized his Broadswords to stop its approach by clamping them onto its sides. We see a streak of sweat run down Quan Chi's pale face as he stares at Scorpion's gleaming blade. Both fighters remain motionless in the face of what had the potential to be the end of the battle, until Scorpion abruptly raises his left hand, summoning the Hellfire. Quan Chi feels his legs burn inside the flames, and shouts in both pain and surprise as he jumps backwards to escape further harm. Refusing to give him a chance to attack, Scorpion then swings his sword at Quan Chi's direction, who attempts to evade the attack, but not fast enough; Scorpion's blade slashes his left arm, and blood rushes out both onto the blade itself and the floor beneath them.

Quan Chi puts his right hand to his left arm, groaning furiously, his Broadswords falling to the floor. Scorpion believes to have him beat, and attempts to mortally impale Quan Chi. Driven by rage, however, the sorcerer performs his Slide Kick, both dodging the attack and nailing Scorpion on the jaw with a potent rising kick. He then proceeds to grab a hold of Scorpion's right arm and drive his elbow down onto it. The sudden pain causes the ninja to drop his weapon, which Quan Chi does not hesitate to kick far from its owner. Still having a hold of Scorpion's arm, Quan Chi follows up the attack by landing continuous kicks to his enemy's midsection, then throwing him off his feet with a mighty uppercut.

Quan Chi: "Regardless of how much stronger you have got, Scorpion, you are still inferior to me in every possible way." (We get a shot of Scorpion groaning in pain as he tries to get back up). "I must admit, however, that I have never had this much fun during a battle!"

Quan Chi charges at Scorpion with the intention of finishing him off before he gets up. He manages to land a devastating kick with his right leg to the specter's face, then spins around and sends a second one with his left leg in his direction; Scorpion is quick enough to block this second attack, however, and counters with an unexpected leg sweep. Before Quan Chi can even properly fall to the floor, Scorpion punt-kicks his back, a loud thud echoing throughout the pyramid's ninth. Quan Chi shouts in pain as the kick causes him to flip over in the air and finally land on his head onto the hard ground. Scorpion now sends his Spear towards his rival a second time. In an attempt to stop the oncoming object, Quan Chi sends his Flying Skull projectile at the spear; unfortunately for him, the skull vanishes in thin air once the spear slices through it and gets closer to its target. Bending his torso and thighs back in the knick of time, however, Quan Chi manages to evade the spear, but feels the air pressure as it dashes at an amazing pace past his face. In a desperate move, he then takes the rope in his hands and tightens his grip around it. Scorpion tries to yank it back to him, but as though locked in a difficult tug-of-war battle, is innefective in his struggle. Finally, Quan Chi tugs at it with all his might, and Scorpion is hurled forward; in a blink of an eye, he sends a second Flying Skull projectile, which rushes forward and meets its falling target. Scorpion feels his face burn as the skull clashes with it, and falls onto his back once more. Quan Chi begins to walk over to him.

Quan Chi: "You showed great effort in your attempt to actually defeat me, Scorpion..." (He picks up his fallen Broadswords). "But, as I mentioned before, your loose overconfidence will always cause your inevitable failure!"

As soon as he prepares to deliver the final blow, Quan Chi hears a dreadful voice behind him.

Shinnok: "Perhaps that would be true this time... if I did not intervene."

We get a close-up shot of Quan Chi's face (we see blood running down his cheek from a small gash on his forehead) as he sighs impatiently and turns to face the former Elder God Shinnok.

Quan Chi: "You..."

Shinnok: "Yes, I believe it is safe to assume that I was the person you were least expecting to encounter in this chaotic field."

Quan Chi: "How did you--"

Shinnok: "Flee from the Netherrealm without your aid? Yes, you expected me to be bound by that hellhole for the rest of my eternity, did you not? This might come as a surprise to you, Quan Chi, but I blame you above anyone else for me being sent there."

Quan Chi: "You babble aimlessly, Shinnok..." (We notice Scorpion getting back to his feet, just behind Quan Chi). "You were sent to the Netherrealm because you were weak, and unable to defeat a pathetic human and his frail 'mentor'!"

Not a moment after Quan Chi finishes speaking, Scorpion grabs his right shoulder and spins him around, striking him with a swift punch filled with such power that the sorcerer is sent sliding painfully across the floor (his face now sullied with even more blood), finally falling beside Shinnok's feet. The once-elder god now places the bottom of his Amulet Staff on Quan Chi's injured arm and acutely forces it down on it, Quan Chi roaring angrily.

Shinnok: "I was sent to the Netherrealm because you put in my hands nothing but a useless copy of the amulet I took so long to create! Once I no longer felt your presence, I immediately suffered the consequences of not having the amulet's power under my grasp!" (He spins his Amulet Staff around so that the amulet itself is just inches from Quan Chi's face). "But now... I do!"

Quan Chi stares at the amulet with pure hunger in his demonic eyes, his pupils traveling from the powerful object iself to the overly-proud expression on Shinnok's face. He then hurls his Flying Skull projectile directly at Shinnok's stomach, knocking him back instantly, the Amulet Staff falling on the floor. Quan Chi extends his hand towards it in hopes of snatching it from its master. Just as his ardent fingers close in on the object, however, Scorpion's Hellfire suddenly rises beneath his body, and a Skeletal Hand bursts from the ground, clouting him forcibly on the head and casting the power-hungry sorcerer far from the Amulet Staff. Shinnok dashes to his weapon and takes it into his hands once more, immediately waving it in the air intensely. A startled scorpion watches as the ninth level of the pyramid is slowly surrounded on its edges by a rotating, crimsom portal constantly spewing flames and screams of agony forth. Shinnok then looks to the ninja specter.

Shinnok: "Without the amulet, Quan Chi will be stripped of all his powers once back into the Netherrealm. He will have no means of escape this time, and will forever endure the endless torture which he so rightfully deserves." (He looks to Quan Chi, who is standing back up). "This failed sorcerer is nothing more than a waste of time for me now. I will leave you to finish him off."

Opening up a human-sized portal behind him, Shinnok enters it, and immediately disappears from the scene. Scorpion's blank eyes look to Quan Chi, who glares at him.

Quan Chi: "Never!"

Quan Chi dashes towards Scorpion with obvious determination. The ninja waits until his target is close enough, then releases his Spear once more, and watches as (this time) it strikes Quan Chi's chest and flies through it, stabbing the sorcerer, who groans in pain at the unanticipated attack. Scorpion bellows angrily as he proceeds to spin around, consequently hurling Quan Chi across the pyramid's level. The Spear releases the sorcerer and he flies straight to the gigantic portal swirling around the edges of the floor, screaming in fear.

The screen now shifts to Scorpion, who walks over to the edge and looks down. We see Quan Chi holding on for dear life, the portal just few feet beneath him.

Quan Chi: "Stop! Doing this will be the biggest mistake you ever made! I am a powerful sorcerer... I have the means to resuscitate your deceased clan... and your family!"

A close-up shot of Scorpion's rigid, vague face.

Quan Chi: "If I am sent back to the Netherrealm, so die all hopes you may have left of seeing them again!"

Scorpion: "Lies!"

Scorpion raises his right leg in order to stomp on Quan Chi's hand and cause his fall into the portal (we see monstrous hands popping up and trying to grab his feet). Quan Chi shouts before one final attempt to escape endless imprisonment in the Netherrealm; he lets fly another Flying Skull projectile at Scorpion, who blocks his body from contact with it... giving Quan Chi just enough time to Teleport into the air and fall towards the lower level of the pyramid, barely escaping the swirling portal. Scorpion shouts as rage takes over his mind, and he prepares to teleport down and not allow Quan Chi to escape his death at the specter's hands. That is when a white, smoke-like mist emerges behind Scorpion, taking a human form and leaving in its place an ashen-haired female, her blank eyes gleaming.

Elder Goddess: "Scorpion! You must not forget your primary objective as set by the Elder Gods! As our champion, you must focus only on the destruction of the Dragon King Onaga, who is raging war on countless combatants as we speak! Go to him now, and leave all other motives as secondary!"

We see Scorpion slowly soften his tight fist before turning to face the speaker, and staying deathly silent for a long while.

Scorpion: "... I understand..."

The representative messenger of the Elder Gods dematerializes from the scene the same way she had first corporealized (the portal Shinnok had opened also vanishes with her), leaving Scorpion to look down from the pyramid at the ongoing clash of forces below. He hear a faint sigh coming from him before he begins to make his way towards the climatic battle...

PICTURE: On the picture, we see Scorpion releasing his Spear towards the screen. The background is a luminous white, but we can make out the image of the Elder Goddes who appeared to him previously, as well as many other similar faces nearby. There is a darkened area on the right side of the picture, however, covered by a shadow, in which we can see Quan Chi, his eyes distinct among the darkness.

----- Although Scorpion wanted nothing more than to satiate his lingering thirst for personal vengeance, there was no way to overlook the fact that he had been made into the Elder Gods' Champion when they sparred his life during his fall into the Soulnado. Although the ninja specter would continue to heed their calls and future orders, he secretly contained within himself the burning anxiety of once again crossing paths with the necromancer and sorcerer Quan Chi, carrying out his
vendetta without interferences... -----

There you are, hopefully you guys enjoyed this one as well.

Can't wait to hear your thoughts.

To Chukers, I will most likely focus on doing Sektor next, since I plan on doing his and the Sonya/Subby one next. Thanks for the patience!

The Scorpion ending is pretty neat. I thought for sure he'd kill Quan Chi though. Of course I assume this will happen eventually, but I expected a more direct approach. This however, is not a bad thing :) Anyways, keep up the good work.

I've enjoyed all of your other endings, but I really loved this one - especially with Shinnok and Scorpion briefly "teaming up" against Quan Chi. Scorpion may not have gotten his vengeance, but he knocked the sorceror around a bit - and with the help of a fallen Elder God no less. Awesome work, dude.

I'll leave my own extremly vague ending.
Scorpion completes his revenge; he is consumed by hellfire.
That is false though as it is 99.99999% certain he will survive and if he does die a near-exact copy of him will be in the next-gen. I'd like to do an ermac ending though. I shall kill my own favorite character and from what ive seen is the most named after character on these forums. Armageddeon forums atleast.

I dunno, mixed feelings this time. It was an awesome ending (I'm always happy for more appearances by Shinnok) but I don't like the lack of finality for Scorpion. His story has been so stale for so long. The MK team didn't really work on the whole "Champion of the Elder Gods" storyline too well (although that may improve in Armageddon) and his rivalry with Quan Chi serves the same purpose as his original rivalry with Sub-Zero. The only difference is that he is seeking revenge on behalf of his family rather than just himself. I would've liked Scorpion to either be finished off or sent in a radical new direction. Still, it certainly was an awesome read. Kudos, as always.

Regarding the Raiden ending: GREAT job. I loved all of it. But what I am most impressed with is: The cool way you intertwined Shinnok into Deception's story line events by making him the reason that Liu Kang's corpse was re-animated and on a killing spree. And a unique origin for his new staff too. Awesome all around. That one was definitely among the top three for me.

Regarding Scorpion's: I liked this alot... (yes, you sensed correctly, there IS a "but" coming lol) The only thing that kind of let it down, for me anyway, is that Scorpion didn't get to settle things with Quan Chi once and for all. Also, Quan got off with little more than a few aches and pains. I dunno, I guess for an ending.. it just didn't 'feel' like an ending you know? Still great writing though, on that you have not waivered. Keep them coming please. smile

Scorpion finally kicks the crap out of Quan Chi. Awesome!

The ending was perfect wouldn't change a thing. It explains past events in more detail and gives Scorpion the chance to find Quan Chi one last time to get revenge.

I would like to see Scorpion kill Quan Chi at the end of Armageddon.

Great Work. Keep them coming.

Thanks for the replies, guys, I'll be sure to post the next one very soon!

It seems what more-or-less surprised most of you was the fact that Quan Chi was able to escape from Scorpion when he was practically marked for death. There are two things I'd like to say about this:

1) Ever since Deadly Alliance, I think Quan Chi is a very unique villain that stands out among the others. He is clearly a very evil, ruthless guy who thinks of no one but himself; at the same time, however, he is very secretive and keeps his plans to himself until they are successful, something that can't be said of many other MK villains. A cunning, dark sorcerer with a very unique look, and that has the capacity to surprise us with an unexpected new plot when we least think it possible (as it's been shown in Deadly Alliance).

2) Although this ending does imply that their rivalry will continue, it does not necessarily mean that it will continue to be this "simple", same-old vengeance type of thing where Scorpion does nothing more than chase Quan Chi around to try and kill him. I'd like to keep Quan Chi alive and possibly return later on in next-gen games to cause more problems, and I couldn't do that and still make Scorpion just forget about him. I think that their rivalry should be "spiced" up a little more, and given an extra something to make it more interesting or give it more depth - perhaps Quan Chi was telling the truth about being able to find a way to resucitate Scorpion's old allies? And maybe he would do just that, and send that new warrior after Scorpion or keep him as a "bodyguard" or sorts? Gotta remember Quan Chi is actually very intelligent, and would be capable of not letting his rivalry with Scorpion go stale.

Alright, that's enough of that...

I'm thinking the next ending will include Sektor, as well as the finality of two more characters that will be involved in his ending. I should once again stress that (since I've noticed a few Sektor fans here) his fate looks pretty grim IMO, and although there's the possibility that he might not be completely killed off, I see Sektor fans at least getting a "startle" when MK:A is over.

More to come...

I have actually been pondering over an ending for Reptile and have played around with some pretty interesting ideas for what becomes of him. I'm happy to say that his ending may very well include Khameleon!.

In fact, Sektor will have his finality decided in the next ending, which I'll begin to work on today. Like I said before, this will also involve 2 other characters. I'm still unsure as to which of the three will get the Picture/Subtitle combo at the end.

Check back later, guys, and I'll keep you posted if anything comes up...

CYRAX (SEKTOR, SAREENA)

The scene starts with the screen showing us the sandy, rough ground of the battlefield surrounding the pyramid. We notice, however, that there is a green tint to the screen, and microscopic bits of information are scrolling throughout it as it surveys the ground. It begins to elevate its position (giving us glimpses of the many battles currently going on) until it reaches the top of a mountaneous area nearby, and completely stops moving. After a few seconds of this standstill, we see a pair of jet-black boots running across this mountaneous area; the screen immediately follows it as it dashes through this area.

We now return to standard view, and see the cyborg Sektor standing on the fourth level of the pyramid. Slowly, the screen circles Sektor until it positions itself behind his back; that is when we realize that Sektor is intently looking at Sonya Blade as she makes her way onward on top of the mountaneous area he was previously surveying. He keeps looking at her, motionless, until Sonya reaches the edge of the mound and immediately hurls a brisk projectile attack at the ground below. The screen tries to follow the projectile until it clashes with its victim (whom we can’t make out due to the bulky burst of energy that results from the impact). We then see Sonya leap from the edge of the mount and proceed to attack her target; the camera goes back to show us Sektor once again. Gradually, it zooms in on the cyborg’s torso until it almost completely fills the screen. That is when we see a large compartment open up, a mechanical whirring noise emitting from it as it slides open. It seems as though nothing is about to happen for a moment, until a hefty missile becomes visible inside the compartment as it slides forth, jutting out of Sektor’s torso. We get a brief close-up shot of Sektor’s face before the screen returns to the “automated” theme from the beginning of the scene, showing us Sonya speaking to the Lin Kuei Grandmaster Sub-Zero. Sektor pinpoints the two warriors as their targets.

Sektor (to himself): “It’s slightly alarming that that such luck is on my side... I’ll be eliminating both of my targets without wasting more than one shot!”

We hear an electric sound as Sektor begins to power up his missile, keeping Sonya and Sub-Zero in view. He is about to release the powerful weapon when a luminous green net suddenly rushes into view, wrapping itself around Sektor tightly.

The red cyborg begins flailing his arms in an attempt to break free of this unexpected trap, but is helpless to react as the net shoots backwards, bringing him along. Sektor starts to lose sight of Sonya and Sub-Zero, and in a moment of desperation, fires his missile carelessly before that happens. The missile shoots through an opening in the green net and travels to the area where Sektor’s targets are located; he is unable to make sure it reached and killed them, however, as the net has now taken him so far back, all he can see is the far horizon. Sektor groans angrily, then manages to turn his head and see his attacker. Along with Sektor, we see that it is Cyrax who is standing few feet behind him, the compartment in his chest also opened, and a mechanical arm extending from it, with a saw blade rotating dangerously on its end. Sektor starts getting alarmingly close to the blade which could damage him fatally. In a hectic attempt to escape it, he then performs his Teleport Punch, ripping the bottom part of the net as he sinks whole into the ground. The net falls uselessly to the floor, and Cyrax has only time to be taken aback by Sektor’s sudden move before feeling the Tekunin warrior’s abrupt uppercut strike him in the back. Cyrax flips forward into the air, and Sektor wastes no time in jumping up after him and landing a flying kick to his attacker midair. The yellow cyborg comes plumetting downwards and lands on his back onto the tough surface of the pyramid. Before Cyrax can even get close to recovering from the attack, he sees Sektor in the air above him, coming down with a second kick. Still lying on the ground and in no more than a second, the compartment in Cyrax’s chest opens once more, and a small round grenade flies out of it and lands on Sektor’s attacking leg, attaching to it immediately. As soon as his kick is about to connect, Cyrax blocks it with his right hand, and hits Sektor in the back with his right leg. As Sektor flies through the air, the grenade goes off, and a small explosion slams him onto the ground as if a giant fist had just struck him down. Cyrax gets back to his feet and faces the fallen Sektor.

Cyrax: “If you wish to eliminate Sonya Blade, you will have to get through me!”

Sektor recovers and stands back up to properly face Cyrax.

Sektor: “Ahh... Unit LK-4D4. It really has been a long time since I last saw you. I’ve often wondered what exactly became of you after you betrayed your clan.”

Cyrax: “The Lin Kuei I remember did nothing but continuously manipulate me and force me to carry out countless assassination attempts towards Sub-Zero.”

Sektor: “That is what you were designed to do! It would still be that way if only you had not allowed yourself to be taken by that agent!”

Cyrax: “Agent Sonya Blade is responsible for restoring my humanity, and freeing me of the endless torture that came from unwillingly obeying the Lin Kuei!”

Sektor: “How touching that must be for you... because that same meddlesome girl is responsible for the destruction of my warship, as well as dozens of my warriors! For that, she will unquestionably be terminated!”

Cyrax (menacingly motioning to Sektor with his right hand): “To harm her, you will have to get through me!”

Sektor (wielding his Dual Pulse Blades): “I was planning on sparing you, LK-4D4, but if you insist on being an opposition...” (Sektor sinks into the ground once more and reappears behind Cyrax.) “...I will not be hesitating to eliminate you!”

Sektor tries to impale Cyrax from behind with his right Pulse Blade, but the OIA agent (having learned from the attack moments ago) performs a speedy backflip as the glowing blade cuts the air where he was standing. Determined to best Sektor in kombat, Cyrax strikes him in the back of the head with a powerful kick before landing, whipping out his Pulse Blade right after. Sektor rolls back onto his feet soon after Cyrax lands, then charges at his opponent furiously. The two cyborgs clash, commencing a weapon kombat as electric sparks fly from their blades as they hit each other. Cyrax gives it all he’s got, and seems able to defend himself well from Sektor’s two blades as he moves incredibly fast and constantly strikes the Tekunin warrior’s weapons when they are driven towards him. Unfortunately for him, this does not last long; Cyrax attempts to slash Sektor’s body when a chance presents itself, but Sektor is quick to jump over his adversary, land behind him, and put all his might into one straight kick that causes the OIA cyborg to lose his balance for a brief moment, which Sektor uses to his advantadge. Cyrax spins around as fast as he can, his arm wielding the Pulse Blade extended in hopes of cutting Sektor, who ducks the attack and retaliates by successfully slicing Cyrax’s torso with his weapon, then knocking him off his feet with a hasty roundhouse (Cyrax’s weapon flying from his hand).

The screen follows Cyrax as he slides across the floor, leaving a streak of oil as he does so. Although Sektor’s face is emotionless, we can tell he is pleased with himself and he makes his way towards his victim.

Sektor: “Easier than I thought... in fact, there was never a doubt in my mind that out of you, Smoke, and I... it was me who was the superior warrior.”

Sektor is now standing over Cyrax. He spins both of his Pulse Blades in an impressive movement, so that they are now aimed directly down at his fallen opponent. Cyrax senses that Sektor is about to fatally impale him with both blades, and seems intent on not be defeated. He kicks the red cyborg in the chest with both legs (thus getting back onto his feet), then follows up the attack at a surprising pace as he lands countless jabs to Sektor’s face, ducks an incoming attack from his weapons, then jumps into the air; we now see Cyrax perform an effortful move: he kicks Sektor in the left side of the head with his right leg, then as his rival falls to the opposite side, nails him with another mighty kick just before landing, and this time from his left leg. Sektor is thrown off his feet with amazing force, and one of his Pulse Blades flies from his grip. While on the ground, we hear him growl loudly, obviously angry with himself for falling victim to the assault. Cyrax attempts to continue to beat down Sektor before he can stand back up, but the infuriated cyborg quickly reacts. He rolls backwards, gets back up, quickly evades two punches by Cyrax, and successfully knocks him down once more with another Teleport Punch. Sektor once again positions himself near the fallen Cyrax.

Sektor (placing his remaining Pulse Blade close to Cyrax’s jaw): “For that, you will watch powerlessly as I obliterate both my targets before your very own eyes!“
Sektor walks to the edge of the pyramid’s fourth level and once again places his two biggest threats (who no longer seem to be locked in kombat) under his view. Not a moment after his compartment opens up, however, he suddenly feels his body being grabbed and tossed backwards, finally landing on his head few feet away from Cyrax. He feels dazed for a second, and when he turns, he sees Sareena glaring down at him.

Sektor: “Who in the world are you?!”

Sareena: “Someone who’s not letting you get any closer to Sub-Zero.”

Sektor (standing up): “I am sick of fools such as you and that useless pile of metal standing in my way when I am so close to attaining my goals!”

Sareena looks over at Cyrax, and by Sektor’s comments, realizes that the collapsed warrior shares a goal similar to hers.

Sektor: “Don’t worry... I will do away with you just as easily!”

Sareena’s eyes shift in Sektor’s direction, but rather than seeing the cyborg, her vision is filled with a fast-approaching jet of flames. She gasps audibly and throws herself to her right, barely evading the long-range attack. Realizing the obvious speed that Sektor possesses, she does not hesitate to dash after him and immediately attack.

Sareena charges at Sektor with a flying kick. The cyborg effortlessly ducks it, and once again sinks into the ground, rising back up near Sareena with his Teleport Punch. She evades it in the knick of time with an acrobatic backflip, nailing Sektor in the jaw with both her feet as she does so. Sektor staggers backwards, and Sareena does not let this chance go to waste. Showing great agility, she once again runs in her opponent’s direction and lands a straight kick to his chest, following it up with 10 more equally-potent kicks, at an amazing pace. Sektor spins through the air, but still manages to fall on his feet. He reaches for his left wrist with his right hand and activates his mounted flamethrower once more. As expected, Sareena sidesteps the attack by jumping to her right. This time, however, Sektor follows her motion with his left arm, and the fire quickly approaches Sareena once more, coming into contact with her abdomen. The demon puts her hands to her injured area (which has become slightly burned), and continues to run to her right in an attempt to flee from Sektor’s seemingly endless attack (the fire fast approaching). Sareena yelps in fear when she realizes she cannot escape the flames for much longer, her midsection hurting intensely. Just then, we hear something clanking against the pyramid’s floor... just before a small explosion goes off beneath Sektor, and he blasted into the air from the impact. Sareena falls to her knees, and Cyrax approaches her.

Cyrax: “You must flee this area while I keep him busy.”

Sareena: “No! I won’t be scared away this easily! I can still fight this thing without a problem!”

Cyrax: “But you—“

Cyrax does not find the time to complete his sentence as Sektor, more enraged than ever, dashes towards him and Sareena.

Sektor: “You will both pay with your lives for your irritating interference!”

Sektor lands a powerful punch to Sareena’s face, knocking her off the screen, and goes on to send continuous kicks towards Cyrax, who blocks them as quickly as they come. Cyrax performs a leg sweep, only to have Sektor jump over it and kick him hard in the face. Refusing to fall, however, the OIA cyborg spins back around and effectively strikes Sektor with a roundhouse kick. Sektor does the same move in hopes of gaining the upper hand, but Cyrax is quick to duck under the devastating kick and, in the blink of an eye, open up his chest compartment and release the spinning saw blade while crouching. The saw blade sinks into Sektor’s left leg, oil flying from the damaged limb as the cyborg topples backwards.

Sektor: “You imbecile! This is not enough t—“

Sektor can only begin to utter these words before a throwing knife immerses itself into his back. He reaches for it in an unsuccessful attempt to pull it off before Sareena bores down on him with a second flying kick to the back of his head, hurling him forward. As he flies above Cyrax, Sektor is grabbed by him and thrown with an even greater force. After sliding across the pyramid floor, he finally stops near the edge of the fourth level (we see streaks of oil on the floor, as well as bits of red metal).

Sektor groans and looks up to see Cyrax running towards him with no signs of slowing down. Quickly, he opens up his compartment once more and sends a missile flying his way. Not expecting an abrupt attack such as this, Cyrax runs into the missile; although the fire does not penetrate his body, he is still propelled backwards from the impact a great distance. It is Sareena who now takes it upon herself to try and finish off Sektor, and she instantly runs in the Tekunin cyborg’s direction before Cyrax even hits the ground. Sektor has recovered (as best as possible) by now. He readily dodges two of Sareena’s jabs and kicks once they meet, then takes the chance to kick the demon in her midsection and grab her by the throat, squeezing and raising her into the air.

Sektor: “At least one of you is dying today!”

Sareena cannot bring herself to throw Sektor off, but does put all of her power into a mighty punt kick to the cyborg’s jaw, causing oil to rush from it immediately. Fueled by anger, he then flings Sareena hard onto the ground. Once Sareena’s body hits the floor, we see Cyrax leaping back onto the scene just behind her and coming down on Sektor with a dropkick. Sektor sidesteps the attack and the two cyborgs trade attacks for a few seconds (there is soon a pool of the accumulated oil beneath their feet). Neither is able to best the other until Sareena gets back into action once more and uppercuts Sektor, giving Cyrax the chance to land two more kicks which finally weaken the Tekunin master critically. We see sparks flying from Sektor’s neck, and he seems severely dazed. Cyrax then opens up his chest compartment and extends the saw blade once more; it now sinks into Sektor’s chest, opening up a large gash on his torso. We now notice Sareena leaping over Cyrax’s head and bringing herself downwards with a spinning kick that knocks Sektor off the edge of the pyramid’s fourth level.

The screen follows Sektor’s body as it tumbles down four large flights of stone stairs and lands on the sandy ground below. Sektor attempts to stand back up, and we see there is not only oil, but other strange substances that have been drawn out of his damaged body as well. Sparks flying from his face, Sektor then turns it and looks to his right. The final scene that falls on his view is that of Onaga flying near the ground not too far from there and spitting a massive burst of flames forward towards an unknown target. One of the flames reach the substances pooling up on the ground near Sektor; this causes it to travel through them and finally reach Sektor himself. The screen zooms out quickly as a huge explosion occurs, setting fire to a large portion of the battlefield near where Sektor was standing. The screen fades to black as we hear a vociferous scream coming from an 8-foot-tall monster as he descends into the explosion.

PICTURE: On the picture, we see Cyrax lying on a bed in the Outerworld Investigation Agency, with Jax standing above him and reaching down into the compartment in his chest. We notice a container suspended above the bed, pumping black liquid into his body.

Cyrax had suffered grave injures in the fight against Sektor which damaged critical parts of his body. Although the Agency’s technology made it possible to eventually get the cyborg back to his normal state, a few modifications had to be made. How and if it would effect Cyrax’s programming was still unknown...

Hope you guys like this one as well. I'll check back tomorrow for your comments! Thanks for reading!
