Nah, Onaga can stay gone as far as im concerned, but i do like idea of Shao Kahn making a comeback but not as a boss though.

For MK7, there is no question: incomplete One Being, all the way. The story's already built up to that point, anyway, so why not?

Yeah I'm with you.Go Monk #17!!!Now on a serious note It should be a original character, but unlike most new bosses a good design that can do combos and fatalities. As of now there hasn't been any good bosses or sub-bosses.We want someone worthy of the title not some clown who fills the screen and tosses fireballs everywhere. You need to feel like you accomplished something by defeating him/her/it you should unlock something (Secret character) through your victory, and be treated to your characters ending.I'm sick of lame end game bosses, give us the real deal and stop giving us crap.

I think Onaga was built up in such a way that his defeat has to be absolute, otherwise he's just a really BIG and unfortunate mistake.
I could handle Shao Kahn, but I think, as I've mentioned in other threads, it's the kind of thing that probably can't work on it's own. I think you really need to add something to it (ala Rayden, Shinnok and a new villain).
I think the returning bosses need to work in unison with something/someone entirely new, otherwise it's just repetitive.
The novelty of the new and improved MK has warn off, so you can't get away with a Quan Chi/Shang Tsung deal again.

I know that Shinnok was not a good boss in MK4 but that was in the MK4 graphics though. I look at it this way, think of Shinnok in the new graphics as in Deception. I think he would be a bad ass boss or even character with his own separate moves and fighting styles. Think of the possibilities.glasses I also think the one being is a cool idea because it makes you wonder, what the hell would it look like? I love that idea. I reminds me of the good ole days before Deception hearing of The Dragon King.

Yeah, Shinnok with an updated and more menacing look, combined with his own unique fighting styles and moves, and you're onto a real winner, there.
My problem with 'the One Being' as a character is really the nature of the character. Isn't he esentially what was fragmented into the seven realms? Which means, to create him, you have to merge ALL the realms, and then have him fight in nothingness, in which we should assume only he and the Gods can exist.
If that's accurate info, it's very flawed.

I want an original and menacing Shinnok as a playable character but not a boss,I despise recycled bosses. But Shinnok does have potential. After seeing Ermac's transformation ANYBODY has a chance.

i think onaga should return as the boss but in a different form , perhaps he could fight as a demon ninja with a sword the first round and then transform into a huge dragon emerging from a cave that would tower over oponents like asmodeus in mace or apocolypse in X-men vs SF in the second and mabye kahn could be the sub-boss

Maybe the boss should depend on the charactor you play rather then just one boss, have something different depending on the path you take. (also they should make all the bosses unlockable and playable, really adding to it)
Example: Lets say that Raiden is one of the possible bosses, now if you play as Sub Zero, you won't have to fight raiden but if you play as say shao kahn, well prepare to meet the thunder god
It sounds a bit complecated but it might work

I want to see a brand new kick ass boss that can do combos, fatalities, bascially what i mean he/she can do the works. I want to see a boss that will kick your ass all over the arena. If you are able to beat him in the first round then he needs to transform into a bigger and badder bitch that's shows no mercy. So creators of MK please give us what we want
PLEASE MIDWAY GIVE US WHAT WE WANT!!!!!!!

screw shao kahn and onaga they should both be playable charecters the 1 bieng should return n screw onaga over all the warriors should unite to 1 team shao kahn should return as his proector of outworld (fo this 1 game)
so he can destroy the 1 being and become conquer of realms shinok should join they 1 being as his chief advisor. rieko should be his general an noob saiboot should be his ninja leader so sub-zero would have to fight his former brother. n scorpion should remain champion of the elder gods but be there physical form in battle on the so he has there spirit in him and he should join raiden as raiden should stay dark and form a team of gods to destroy the 1 being as he is sickened by mortals so all enemies good or bad should unite (thats why i beleive there all in 1 game.) and kombat the 1 being and his minions. now that would be what i call a good mk game.dont you agree?furious

ray_blaze, stop repeating your initial post over and over or you'll probably be banned because of it.
Anyway, a transforming boss could actually sort of work, when you think about it. The One Being, obviously, cycling through every boss from each chronological game. Shao Kahn, Shinnok, the Deadly Alliance and Onaga, then probably the physical representation of the One Being. The further I think about this, the harder it looks for Boon and Co. to pull off, though. Let's hope they do it right, however they do it.

The One Being makes sense to me. There seems to be a big hint at that from MKD. Seeing as, for this generation, this is to be the end-all be-all, the transformation ideas intrigue me. Imagine a boss that trancends time and space. The very existance of the realms is at stake here. What if the boss was a series of mini-battles that span all the bosses of the MK universe throughout the match? In order to keep it rather beatable, each boss would only have about half a life bar. First it starts as Shang Tsung in his old form, then you beat that form, it staggers back, shudders and quivers, then transforms painfully into Shao Kahn, etc. The team could even introduce threats and rulers of realms that we have not seen before that could have been potential threats. For instance, a god of outworld, or maybe a ruler of the realm of Chaos, or even Dark Raiden (yes, we have seen Dark Raiden, but we don't know the level of threat he could have been). I'm sure that would get a lot of people on the boards saying "holy moley, who was THAT?"
Finally you get to his ultimate form. Defeat that, and you have saved the realms, more or less.
That's something I would love to see.
BTW, awesome work Chrome. Your work always astounds me.

I think ladymage is right on this one. No matter what someone(s) going to be dissapointed on who's the next boss whether its Raiden, Shao Khan, Shinnok, Onaga, Deadly Alliance, or even big bad Blaze. So i think they should make a mixture of Deadly Alliances Konquest mode with the arcade as you follow your characters plot. Now Im not saying put in the boring training in with it but just have your fighter fight the necessary battles rather than just random people, thats what vs mode is for. Midway wanted to further the mythology in teh game well I think this would be a big step for it.

My vote is for Shang Tsung.
An odd choice, I know, but I think the guy needs to become a force to be reckoned with again. He went from being MKI's mastermind, to begging for his life, to a background figure. True that MKDA brought back some of his old fire, but he was useless as soon as the last of Onaga's warriors was resurrected, and to boot, Quan Chi then kicked his ass. I for one think it would be nice if Shang found a way to tap into the One Being's power somehow, and got a massive power boost. I picture him wearing a very regal, updated version of his MKI outfit, flowing robes and all. Maybe greying hair? Seems odd, I realize, but it certainly would be a fitting way for him to go out, if this is his last game.

First of all I think its going to be Blaze, ive been saying all along. For one he is bigger then everyone there. Second what better character to cause an armageddon then a fire elemental, i mean they haven't really developed his character all that much, they could easily come up with something to link him up with doing so.
But that is not who i hope is going to be the final Boss, i hope it is the one being in a wicked sick form, i hope he is increasingly stacked against all the other fighters, and i hope he is playable in someway because i hate when you cant be the final boss. I could see it ending that way because he is probably fed up with all the kombatants and boss people breaking the rules of the tournement and screwing up balances of realms and such.
And whoever said that Onaga was a mistake being put into the game is stupid. i do agree they could of made him cooler looking but he isnt that bad. They should of hyped him up more, i dont remember hearing anything about him till MKDA when it comes to reading the game story line.
Best and most developed boss ever: shao khan (but whoever said he needs a rest, i agree)
Second goes to: Shang Tsung in MK1
Worst and most underdeveloped boss ever: Shinnok (I dont even know if they could of made him cooler if they wanted he is so stupid and poorly developed.
Second Goes to: Quan Chi (He looked like a clown in MK4, but luckily they made him better in DA)

onaga was terrible, absolutely terrible..
i hope we will see a new boss for armageddon..
shang is not powerful enough
kahn's time is over
blaze will NOT be the boss
it only makes sense for them to have a new boss for the last mk on this gen consoles.. im not saying that the one being will be the boss, though it may..
