My guess is that thats the Sub-Zero and he wont change by time the game is finished.

The DM makes him age faster and yet the Sub-zero in the Deception pics and PS2 cover looks younger.

I still think its a new Sub-Zero.

Both costumes look awsome shredder and pony tail.

Boon shouldnt change a thing.

All the costumes are getting more traditional and less comic bookie.

In the past MK games the Ninjas was separated by colors. Blue, green, yellow, red, purple and so on. Now they have these new looks that are alot better.

And in MK3 they started making cyber Ninjas with different colors. Red, Yellow, gray.

Here's what id like to see as a twist...
Somehow someway....quan chi ressurects the orginal subzero.
Quan controls original subzero and uses him as a backup defense against Scorpion.
Then Scorpion and the younger Subzero team up to take them out.
It may be the only way to have both subbies in the game....the ponytail one being the original and the masked one being the younger or vice versa....
Now hows that for a twist?

I like the new mask that Sub-Zero is wearing. As for the pony tail, I don't like it. I would rather Sub-Zero to be completley bald.

From the small shots I have seen I don't like it that much for Sub. I thought it was a new character at first like maybe Dairo.

But I'll probably change my mind when I see close ups, and fight vids.

I'm sure it will grow on me.

But as of now, the armor look is better.

Where in the hell is it confirmed, and by whom that the DM makes Subby age faster... In the DA look for Subby (without the mask),the grey/white areas in his hair were only ice or frost or something(like in the concept art). In my opinion it was not becuse he was old, but because he is cold(you know how your hair freezes in winter when its wet...)And he didnt look so old to me in the first place, what comes to the new look I think they are both awesome and the ponytail is just something that the grandmaster of lin kuei has and same goes for the armour look also.

So he works for midway, so? Is he a part of the developing team, artist, story writer or what... I think that anything that isnt in the actual games (or confirmed by Boon & Vogel, used to be Tobias)is only pure speculation, if indeed rayrokka has told that Subby is aging faster, why in the hell theres no mention about it in the games? I personally dont know this rayrokka or what is his/her relationship with Midway(might be a delivery boy for all i know; no offence to person in question) So untill we get some solid proof from the games or from Boon or Vogel, or from someone else in responsible for the games, I still go with the frost/ice version of subbys look. Of cource I can be totally wrong, and when it is proven I'll admit it, put till then I keep the discussion going...

His pony tail look suck. He looks like a fucking monk. It's the ugliest change I ever saw in the Mortal Kombat history. With that look Sub-Zero looks like a fagget.

Did you guys ever think of the fact that maybe in deception both Subs are back???

One has the DM the other is resurected/returned.

Everybody has been screaming for both subs and with the rate of returning characters in deception (Baraka, Mileena and Nightwolf for starters) maybe Subzero 1 & 2 are finally toghetter in this game.

One has the ninja look, the other the bald shredder look.

Putting 2 Subbys in the game would be downright stupid... They have the same moves, one has a scar, one doesnt... Why the hell would they put both in the game, even if there were slight variarions in moves, it would just be different freezes ala Frost...

I can garentee Midway wouldnt waste there time giving 2 Sub-Zeros as charectors to select...

Here a solution to all you guys bitching, if you dont like the pony tail look, pick the other costume! Ive never liked unmasked Subby, so what did I do when I pick him?? Hmmm its a mind-stumper, Oh yea, I pick his alt costume...

I think it's a good mysterious look. He doesn't look too buff as he did in MK:DA. Be great if he's a little faster.

Who doe's Sub-zero remind you of with his pony tail look??? We all know who he reminds us of with his armor on.

You can tell the ponytail bald guy is sub sice he is in Dragon Style martial arts

I still think the MKDeception Sub-Zero is a different Sub-Zero(Until other news proves me wrong.)

Sub-Zero in MKDA was pretty old and looked old because he was old and not because he had ice in his hair.

I think Sub-Zero is doing his thing as head of the clan and he sent another member to fight in the torunement.

Also the title of the game gives the biggest mistery.
