Ok first off:

Always use O or B. The other buttons don't work. Subzero2 must be mistaken because I tried the old combination with other attacks than O and it didn't work.

Always jump in lava

Always use the Axe

Old combination: Lava jump, bottom barrel, top right barrel, Nitara right barrel, smashers barrel, Nitara left barrel, top left barrel, ground smash.

1st new Combination: Lava jump, top right barrel, bottom barrel, Nitara right barrel, smashers barrel, Nitara left barrel, top left barrel, ground smash.

2nd new Combination: Lava jump, smashers barrel, right top green barrel, bottom barrel, Nitara weapon right barrel, left top green barrel, Nitara weapon left, ground smash.

Busted: Left top barrel, Nitara left barrel, smashers barrel, right top barrel, Nitara right barrel, bottom barrel, ground smash.

Busted: Left top barrel, Nitara left barrel, smashers barrel, right top barrel, Nitara right barrel, bottom barrel, ground smash.

Busted: Left top barrel, Nitara left barrel, smashers barrel, Nitara right barrel, right top barrel, bottom barrel, ground smash.

There could be countless number of combinations of smashing barrels but these are the ones that work and don’t work. Tell me if you know any faults with this.

yo level 9 is crazy hard, they all throw you around like a rag doll. like sub zero will freeze you, then reptile pops you up in the air, ermac does his anti air pyshce shot.

it is mad hard to just focus on one guy and eliminate him.

I didn't see anyone post a review on survival mode for the XBox version yet. Today I finally had a chance to get it done and here's what happens:

battle 1: baraka + nomads + masked guards-- (wu shi academy)--the entire match goes in slow motion. way too many enemies for the game to handle, but the less enemies on screen, the faster the game becomes. damn i've never seen this much slowdown in a game before.


battle 2: archer demons + fire gun demons + all them demons with armors (sorry forgot their names) -- (arena- ??? seems like shang tsung's throne room, but a lot of textures missing, mostly black)-- the gameplay, strangely enough, doesn't seem as slow as the first battle. But there are a lot of enemies on this one.


battle 3: oni demons + (2) oni bosses -- (arena- goro's lair- tons of missing textures) in this level, it was very clear that this mode is incomplete and leads my conclusion to believe that they "ran out of time" again to make it complete. anyway i continued to beat the enemies and went for the opening for battle 4.

Screen loads and when the loading red line reaches the end, the game freezes. The end.

Will at lest we know that that have Boss rush mode like Ed said.

I did the steps from lava jump, bottom barrel, top right, nitara right, smashers barrel, nitara left, and then when i went to hit the top left i missed and just hit the ground, but the portal still opened.

Level 9 isn't that hard guys.
You just have to know how to keep the enemies occupied (beat them up). Don't focus on one character until he dies, look upon them all and get all of their lives down at the same time. It took me a couple of tries, but it works.

Try this,

Old combination: Lava jump, bottom barrel, top right barrel, Nitara right barrel, smashers barrel (use square), Nitara left barrel (use triangle), top left barrel, ground smash.

It works trust me Once you see that it works then you can test the other barrels with other methods of breaking them. Do this though specifically. Ive done this more then once btw.

I just did this

Old combination: Lava jump, bottom barrel, top right barrel, Nitara right barrel, smashers barrel (square attack), Nitara left barrel

I skipped the Nitara left barrel and went straight to the last barrel and when i hit it (using O) the sparks came up. I only swung it only one time (without charging it) and I broke the barrel AND made the sparks come up. When i broke it, I was as close to the barrow as i could get.

Do i get dps for that?

I'm the only one who thinks this mode is awsome and works 100% good?

xbox or ps2???

I only beat Level 9 once, I did it by using the L2 button, it blocks most of their attacks, it worked pretty well the first time I used it, but when I played it again, I kept getting creamed

I tried cleaning the CD...I trying letting the xbox unfreeze itself, I tried reseting and doing it again and again and again...nothing.

is there anyway we can get a word from Boon or someone from the midway offices about this xbox problem???

Can any1 tell me the best way 2 get past lvl9 plz

Just keep blocking and attacking and use the health refills from the statues.

Did you do it yet?

i have been blocking and using the health from the statues but i still get killed.

I might try this later tonight (I have Xbox Version), hopefully it will not freeze.

No offense, I don't think it will work, my next paycheck I'm going to get the PS2 version.

Has any one with the Xbox version gotten to level 4 without the game freezing up? Really fun so far, i just wish i could get past the oni/oni warlord level.

i have xbox and ps2 versions and i cant get past lvl4 on xbox because it freezes but cant get past lvl9 on ps2, still trying tho

thats funny i havent had a glitch or a freeze yet and im on level 9. maybe the disc is dirty or something you should check it.
