Just for everyone's info, we are choosing NOT to ban certain characters from the tournament (Bo Rai Cho, Noob Smoke). Infinite combos, etc. are discouraged, but since they are a legit way of playing the game these characters will not be banned.

Welcome to Ladder One of the Mortal Kombat Online MK:D Tournament!

Posted below are the ladders for X-Box and PS2. As a reminder, it is YOUR responsibility to contact your opponent, and schedule a fight. Unfortunately, most people did not contain their Gamer Tags. Thus, you will need to make contact with your opponent, and exchange Gamer Tags.

You must complete your fight by 11:59GMT, Thursday December 9 2004. This gives you THREE DAYS to complete your fight. It is then the WINNER'S responsibility to e-mail M4C@mortalkombatonline.com with the match results, as well as your MATCH NUMBER (note: Your e-mail MUST have a subject othat reads "Tournament Results". If it does not, it will be deleted by my filter.) If you're opponent does not show, you win by default (and you must send an e-mail to report this victory). If no e-mail is received by 11:59GMT, Thursday December 9 2004, the match will be considered disqualified. You may also send Mobster4Christ a private message via MKO's messaging system with the tournament results. Again, you must include the results, as well as your match number.

After the first ladder is completed, the second ladder will be posted 24 hours later. The Tournament ends when all matches have been fought, and a clear winner is determined. The winner takes home the prizes, including an autographed copy of Mortal Kombat: Deception!

good luck on the infinites issues. I found a few people cheating online the other day(not from this site) its sad when that happens. being a tournament director for shoryuken.com was a challenge at first and a lot of issues had to be delt with to make sure things were ran fair. Dont worry if this is unfair at first,just work on it and it will get better. If help is needed PM me on it,I might be able to help out.

Don't sweat it too much guys. A lot of you probably won't even play this first ladder, just make sure if your opponent doesn't find you, send in the email at the end of the 9th, and you win and will regardless move to ladder 2.

We expect a lot of dropouts during the first ladder. Once the ladder numbers get higher, there will be more serious kombat going on. So if you can't find your opponent... don't worry, you win for this ladder

Thanks for the heads up, Scott. Skaven told me that the e-mail addresses in the "Cc:" part were put in the same order as the respective usernames for MKO on the e-mail we received, so I guessed my online opponent's e-mail and sent it. Although the person hasn't responded yet, I had it verified that I guessed the e-mail address correctly. However, there is one e-mail address missing on the "Cc:" section, which will throw off the order of the e-mail addresses a bit.
