It seems this might not be the only meeting this group will encounter.
Now that is how I perceive it. So to me this seems cheezy cause when
the worlds for what ever reasons go back to norm neither side will loose
or win. Hmmm. I see that happening for some reason. There is nothing cannon as far as story goes then why even have a story. Why even have some kinda of plot for this title. If nothing is going to stick forget the story
work on game play spend time on mechanics and graphics and shoot for the moon have alot more characters and maps and FMV endings.
Cause there really is know ties that will bind these two worlds.
Only wishful thinking. Peace brothers.

I am not ranting Iam suggesting maybe leaving the story part out
and all. Seeing what people think about that. Just dont do a plot
cause it will not matter. I like the idea myself. Thanks.

Okay first they aliented the fan base by making the game a versus game " still gonna buy it" then they further it by making the game teen rated " still there will be blood and still gonna buy it" now you suggest that they should remove the story of a game featuring a comic book company that though i am no expert built themselves up by writing stories and selling them would be a good idea no sir there should probably be a story.

Actually that could pretty much qualify as a rant. Or could it?

Anyways It won't be canon so we have nothing to worry about storyline wise.

If we're talking fantasy solutions, how about... Making it canon?
Now there's a solve I could get behind!

... Not that that necessarily means there has to be some sort of world-altering ramifications, post-game.

It would make sense to have a story for this game, otherwise, we'd be clueless on how the two realms got binded together and how DC invaded Mortal Kombat. If there was no story, we'd be lost forever. And this does not seem like ranting, if it is oh well.

But still, this will be non-cannon, and to me, I think that this is just an illusion and nothing really happened between MK and DC when it comes for the next game. Just like some other MK games were non-cannon, think of this game as more as an illusion that came real. No on will remember fighting Superman or Batman, all just an illusion that seemed really cool.

Though, all games, no matter if they're cannon or not, should all have a story. Because if there's no story, then what's the point in even plyaying the game when all you're going to do is fight to the death? Seems pretty pointless to play a non-story game.

I still think the MK fanbase needs a moratorium on use of the word canon...

What he stated. It's actually a really solid point. You really can't have a game without a story that has anything to do with comic characters. Even it was completely non-canon....And if this sort of thing is going to be around longer than one game, you wouldn't want to disappoint those comic fans like that with the first one...they're the bigger fanbase. You must be on drugs. In fact, that is a foregone conclusion at this point.
