I think if Reptile is the Dragon King this will be the end of him. Throughout the series we've seen him become more and more pathetic and dependent on a master; at his lowest point in Deadly Alliance. Now he's the ultra-powerful boss, sort of like fulfilling his destiny. It'd be perfect closure for him.

To be honest(and I hate to admitt it) but Scorpion and Sub-Zero, I think they've been in MK for too long now. I like using them but I'm kind of getting tired of them. Its great at first when we first used them (using the spear and the freezing power) for the very first time and now they're kind of getting old. I'm just being honest.

IMO Kitana is'nt gonna return to the next installment as well as many of the classics, like raiden and maybe sub zero, i jsut have this feeling......

I'm not saying that I want to, but it seems like sub-zero is getting older and older ( mostly because os the amulet) and he won't last forever... maybe he won't be in MK7 ...

Sonya, Jax and Johnny Cage should be retiring soon. Sonya was 26 in MK1 and Cage was 29. Ten years have gone buy. They can't fight forever.

I think we'll see the last of Kitana, Sindel and the others when Edenia is out of the story. If Edenia isn't threatened they have no reason to appear.

We may see the end of THIS Sub-Zero soon. However, I don't think we'll see the last of A Sub-Zero. The current one wasn't the first; I doubt he'll be the last.

Dude thats in a lot of us I have a strong feeling she might die along with a few others. Bo Rai Cho looks cool this game I don't think he sucks theres a lot worse he did in MKDA. But his new fatality and moves look cool he might be ok instead of sucking.

I think for MK7 there should be less "clones",so for example the female characters are too samey Tanya/Mileena/Jade feel too similar,maybe combine their best moves together into one character,then additional female characters should be very different in look and feel.

Bo Rai Cho should go,too gimmicky,no wow/cool factor,this character was a very poor Shun Di.While Shun Di actually played well in the right hands and looked a formidable opponent,Bo rai cho is too "comic relief" which is not really the selling point of MK.Because next time the graphics are gonna leap up a grade I want quality rather than quantity.

When Deception is released it would be interesting for a character popularity poll to be taken after a couple of months (when all characters are found and played with for a while).Midway seeing this will know what we want to return.Whoevers at the bottom of the list should definately go!

Sub-Zero is gonna have to pass the tourch because as the Mk's come out he just gets older and older and he can't live forever someone will take his place just like lui kang anyway subby was in every MK made except for special forces.

Scorpion- How long can one undead spectre hold a grudge? I was hoping for a complete makeover for him in Deception. He didn't get it. Time for closure.

My first choice is Master Bo' Rai Cho. He was more of a history lesson rather than a character and his role is completely unnecessary unless he is here to do more teaching. But he isn't needed in game if that's all he's going to do. That story is boring.

Kano is my second choice. He's getting on my nerves and should've been dead a good 3 games ago! lol Although he is a sneaky character and would probably worm his way out of this!

Johnny Cage is third. Why does he bother coming back? He comes in and fights. Then he dies or goes and makes a new film, but he never actually does anything important for the story! Die already!

Jax is my next choice. He is useless and pointless. He haS metal arms and a beret. Big deal! His story is increasingly boring and again useless. It seems he couldn't even kill Hsu Hao right! The guy is in the Prison stage! This was probably the one good thing he did and it seems not to have happened. Although it may have. Even if it did, I still want him gone!

Moloch is my fifth choice! Please DIE! Enough said really!

Next comes Liu Kang! He just got lame!

Seventh comes Rain. Why was he created? His story was pointless and being a palette swap did not help him at all!

Even if Sub-Zero does die, we will definitely see other Sub-Zero along with Scorpion in every MK game. Ed Boon eve said, as long as he is dealing with the MK series, Subby and Scorpion will never leave.

As for the thread. This Sub-Zero(but another will appear), Jax, Cage, Sonya, Kitana, Bo Rai Cho.

Mk without Subby and Scorpion is a very foolish idea,it will bring mk right down to the ground. Forget about the story,lets talk about the game and how strangers look at it,the story isn't important as the characters so let them stay.

I think most of the people on this thread (I said most, not all) don't understand what Mk_FrEaK was getting at. We're not talking about which characters should go because they suck, we're talking about how some characters time in MK might be up.

Just because a character sucks is no need to scrap him/her forever (except Stryker, god I hate Stryker). Look at Tanya, nearly everyone hated her in MK4, but now that she's back, evil and with a cool look, people love her. It's not a matter of popularity, it's a matter of the story. If you include a huge fan favorite for no reason, and give him/her a sucky story and/or moves then the game would tank.

What he's talking about is how it could be the end of the line for certain characters, simply based on story. Here are my guesses:

Scorpian: This should be the final installment for Scorpian, he's had a great run, but now it's time for him to go. My guess is that he'll be cleansed by the holiness of the Elder Gods, get his revenge on Quan Chi, and his soul will finally find peace.

Sub-Zero: I don't think he should be killed in this MK or the next, but he needs to continue his line with Frost, and finally be killed by Sektor. Smoke will become Grandmaster of the Lin Kuei, with Sub-Zero's son as his apprentice.

Reptile: Reptile's life is winding down, he is officially insane, and once he is removed from the DK's presence, he will completely snap and commit suicide. I'd like to see one more game out of him though before he dies, just to give him some dignity.

Liu Kang: He died and needs to stay dead, 'nuff said. After his spirit is layed to rest in Deception, he's gone too.

Johnny Cage: His story has been absolutely painful, every ending ends with him making a movie. It needs to end.

I'm sure that most of the new characters will take on the roles of the old ones. Kira will take on Kano's role. Sub-Zero's son will take his father's place, Kung Lao or Nightwolf will take on Liu's role, etc.

I agree with whoever posted that it's time for Kabal, Nightwolf, and Smoke to take the stage. It's time that they lose they're role as backround characters and step into the limelight.

I'd have to say:

Drahmin, never liked him...that is all.

Jax, In MK2 he was great...from then on he just sucked..so I wouldn't like to see him survive Deception.

Sektor, Never really liked the cyberninjas..but given the choice between Sektor and Cyrax? I would keep Cyrax and cut Sektor. Cyrax is better. Though Sektor will probably be the one to survive due to his story develpment with his clan and all. DAMN! *rolls eyes*

Seein as Cage's spirit has rose before, maybe a unique storyline could be for Raiden to learn it was tainted with evil at some point. Raiden tells Sonya and informs she must do away with Cage, for the good of Earth, and Cage himself.

Sonya's storyline could then have some uncertainty around it [Sonya realises her new mission will be tough, but sets out to murder without regret, for Earthrealm] And we could see a minor Deception where Sonya kills Cage.....As long as Cage dies, as long as Cage dies *thumbs up*
