So everyone knows (and to echo what Garl said), as of now the validity of this 'trailer' is not yet verified. It could be legit or utter bullocks. So that's pretty much it as of now.

When something concrete comes our way, we'll let everyone know.

You gotta realize how much time some people put into fooling the MK fanbase. We're pretty much used to sifting though secrets or spoofs, and confirming the truth or fakes. It's the stuff that's in the games.

If this is true, this being a legit trailer, then I sure hope whenever it is released there is more to it, because that didn't show anything, and I would hate to think that we have been talking all this time just to get that.

It's a nice teaser if they release a series of things at one time, but that alone is nothing to me.

Obviously the "40 days" is after see the countdown in the last try in his fake.

And it's more easy to fake than you believed. I think that the real Raiden in the rain scene is from MK4, and the poor edited face (c'mon, any face from MKDA to MKAr is better than this, and the game is using UE3...) is from the Undertaker.

I had posted in another MK website that it may be real or fake. However, come to think of it, I right clicked on the pic of Raiden in this thread and I selected "properties". It states that the pic is from photobucket, so now my thoughts on this is low. Meaning that this teaser trailer is more likely a fake.
I as many MK fans, don't really appreciate lies or fake information. So ya, close this thread as the other one is in this forum......

Its from photobucket because someone took the image directly from the trailer, and hosted it on photobucket. That has nothing to do with it being real or not.

Agreed that even if it's real, it kinda sucks. We already knew it was going to be darker and completely reinvented. Hopefully the countdown will be to something new and better. Although to disprove this teaser, I agree w/ above that the completely wasn't with a "k" which may seem minor, but a tradition never broken. Lastly at the end, the PS3 logo doesn't seem to fit, seeing as how that is not the logo PS3 uses. We'll see.

Hmmm..mk5.org deleted their newsflash about the unverified trailer. Suprised that they even posted it actually, sice it can be a fake. Maybe Midway told them so..and we can hear news on if its fake or not.

I've already checked with my sources at Midway. This trailer is fake. That said, I'm going ahead and closing this thread. There's nothing to be gained in going on about whether it's "real" or not.
