Personally, I think they should stay dead and never come back.

First off, cool picture. Scorpion should wear that mask sometime in the game.

Secondly, the Shirai Ryu can stay dead for all I care (and I mean dead dead not undead dead.... stupid necromancy termanology.) We have enough factions beating the crap out of each other already: the Lin Kuei, Black Dragon, Red Dragon, Elder Gods, Special Forces, White Lotus Society, the cyborg ninjas led by Sektor (Tekkuians?... can't remember), Eathrealm alliance, the Deadly Alliance, the Onis, Chaos, Orderrealm knights, and several others... last thing we need is an whole 'nother section of once-dead ninjas running around.

I second that.

For Scorpion to have taken Sokeship of the Shirai Ryu is illogical, and it only brings Scorpion's story down even further, if that's even imaginable.

Okay, so how would you go about getting rid of them? (it’s not like it’s a concept, it’s already been done.)


Clan or no clan, what I basically want to see with Scorpion’s story is him being disciplined/maturing.

Going against the elder gods is practically asking for a permanent deathwish.

Something like Scorpion’s actions are server enough to cause an elder god to put his immortality on the line and go to earthrealm in the form of man, attempting to silence him. Being one of the first to put Scorpion on the defensive, hunting him down.

The elder god doesn’t care about mortals and kills many to get to Scorpion. Scorpion in turn learns there are more important things than his selfish motives, and begins to protect the nameless people the elder god would’ve slain. Showing another anti-hero side of his personality.

The Elder Gods had brought Scorpion's clan back...only they are like zombies and have no point in the game anymore since they don't look very intimidating.They should just stay away from all future games and go somewhere else.Get rid of them would be a good idea.

Scorpion's storyline has gone down the drain in several MK games.The whole revenge thing is pointless now especially with Scorpion.He had a lot of enemies.'You killed my family...You killed my clan...You killed me...You killed my blah blah blah'It's getting uselss and the Shrai Ryu should just die.They should stay dead...dead and never come back.

I want to see Scorpion mature as well, and that's something Paragon, DNOMYTE, and I are trying to do with our MK stories. The problem is that it's not easy to do, because Scorpion's story and character are some of the worst in MK.

To get rid of the Shirai Ryu, just have them return to the Netherrealm and stay there or something. As for the Elder God idea, it doesn't sound like it would work, because the Elder God's presence in the realms could affect its stability. Why would this Elder God kill nameless people into to get to Scorpion? It sounds like something that's unnecessary and a waste of time.

I know all about the elder god’s presence awakening the one being.

That’s why it takes the form of man. Transforming himself into a full mortal. (like Raiden has done) Since none of the other servants could get the job done.
The elder gods have never shown compassion. I wasn’t thinking they’d purposely kill, but they don’t care if they do. Edit: But I do appreciate your input, I’m not a writer, but it’s something I’d like to get better at. (yours and Xia’s posts often inspire me.) I’ll continue to think of different ways.

I know they already back...but I think they should be done away with as quickly as possible.

I know I usually criticize it when they do something in a story and immediatly undo it...but I can't see any good coming from Scorpion getting his clan back. As already pointed, we have too many clans and armies as is. We don't need more. Also as Sub-Zero_7th pointed out, the prospect of Scorpion being a leader considering his track record is ludicrous. And finally, one of Scorpion's defining attributes is he's a loner. Sticking a clan with him kind of goes against that.

I suppose what they could do is maybe have it Scorpion's semi-revived clan gets wiped out when Blaze is destroyed or something to that effect. And maybe then, they could have it Scorpion finally accepts his clan/family is gone forever and he can never get it back. And thus, maybe then we can finally see Scorpion grow up and move on to something new.

Someone should re-kill all of Scorpion's clan... so Scorpion can get revenge on them for killing them all over again! Bwa ha ha! Problem (not) fixed!

Personally, it doesn't matter to me if he goes solo like he has most of the MK games or controls his clan like his MKA ending should it be canon, I have no problem with it.

Only way I'd like to see them, is in a retro MK game. Where Takeda is still the leader of the Shirai Ryu, and Scorpion is still Hanzo.

Then I'd hope we get to see some of these characters from the comics:

I agree that one of Scorpion strong points, was that he is a loner. I wouldn't leave the possibility of a good resurrection story out, they could do something wicked with it. But of they do decide to leave it out, they should leave it alone forever.

The only characters who should EVER be resurrected are.......... nobody. Sheesh. C'mon. Mortal Kombat's "mortal" part is kind of a joke.

But on the tangent of the comic characters.... yes, I wouldn't mind seeing a few of them.
1. Hydro - before Rain, there was Hydro. He was the best friend of the elder Sub-Zero, now Noob Saibot, and was killed by Scorpion.
2. King Jerrod - Sindel's (kinda) alive and well, but her husband remains a rotting skeletal corpse. Life's so unfair.
3. Siang - This was actually a pretty good original character.... until his demise. Quoteth Scorpion, "Only the dead are free."

But, yes, Scorpion should be a loner. Personally, I'm sick of him being a "hero" too. Originally, wasn't he a pissed off spirit who made a dead with the devil to avenge the death he suffered in a FAIR fight? It's not like Sub-Zero cheated or anything.... but now he's... what is he? Good? Bad? "Neutral"? Loner? Hero? Champion? Reject?

... I don't think even he knows what he is anymore.

I say that it be retconned from the storyline; they already did that with Scorpion protecting younger Sub-Zero, with Johnny Cage's death, Kano's orphan Tokyo origins...
Actually, let's just get rid of Scorpion altogether, that'll solve the whole Shirai Ryu debacle! In fact, I have a whole fan-fiction lined up just to explain what he could do! As he was running up the pyramid to fight Blaze, he tripped, fell, was trampled on, healed after everybody started brawling, and said to himself, "to Hell with this, I'm taking a break from everything and going to find myself through poetry and art," and then give him his own spin-off game, Painting with Scorpion. Awesome idea, no?

If scorpion does kill quan chi, scorpion probably takes the amulet. What now?

I think we have to realize if Scorpion gets what he wants we wont have him in the game anymore. He doesnt just want revenge, he wants to be reunited with his family. In my opinion there has to be closure. You cant just end his vengefulness or anger tho. Thats who he is. You can mature him, but I think everyone is trying to make him into another sub-zero. He should never be like sub-zero.

The anti-hero is what he should be. And he should never be controlled. And he should be a risk taker. Kind of a gambler. Loner (his clan should die even though I think if he was a leader There could be a good story out of it). Its hard to give him a good story. But I think he would make a cool Reaper. Hunting people down who have escaped from hell. Just an idea

I want to see Scorpion as an anti-hero, whose leading his newly reformed clan.
I mean, c'mon guys, everyone bitches about Scorpion's revenge plot so they bring in a new one.
This idea of his clan coming back and his anger at the Elder Gods can lead to a whole new storyline.
I'm looking forward to this alot.

Personally I'd love to see both Scorpion and his clan vanish and never return. Of course I know that's unreasonable because of the fanboy uproar it would cause...but that's what I think should happen with them.

I think it would be awesome if (assuming that MK8 has animated bios and endings ) the undead army turned on him, and in an amazing FMV bio, he slaughters them, and now sets out to completely PWN the shit out of the elder gods.

cool idea

1). Clan should come back And his wife and kid should stay Dead.

2). His clan doesn't come back and his Family doesn't come back because he finds out a terrible Truth that there will be no way to bring them back.

3). His Family comes back and The clan Stays Dead.


Just some Options I thought of. =D
