To be way out there maybe Baraka or Sindel

Sub-Zero, he's been built up to be the best earthrealm fighter for a while now, you can't bring back "b-listers" like smoke, kabal, nightwolf and ermac who haven't been seen since Trilogy and expect them to take over the storyline, all this work hasn't been done on Sub-Zero just so he can stand down, and Kung Lao doesn't seem to be in it, but even if he was he was a buddy character to Liu Kang, he shouldn't get a huge jump to main character just like that, Sub-Zero all the way

Actually, I don't think there will be a certain hero in MKD...

Sub-Zero would be my pick on being the hero of Earth Realm. The Lin Kuei is well respected because of him and he is an outstanding leader to his clan members.

Sub-Zero has many allies that would fight for him. Sub-Zero is held in high regard by Raiden now and the Earth Realm warriors trust him with their lives.

Sub-Zero's powers and skills increase in each game and he becomes wiser every time he returns. Also, Sub-Zero is the only man that actually has Scorpion as an ally. Sub-Zero accomplished many tasks that were set before him and he had suffered the loss of allies in doing so which made him stronger.

Sub-Zero would be the great hero in my eyes because of the experience he has with him in the previous games on dealing with Outworld threats, and his ambition to survive and prosper.

i would say sub-zero also but i think its going to be a new charecter i think Ben or someboddy new......

I think it will most likely be Sub-Zero or Lui Kang even if he is gonna be a ghost/Zombie

Kung Lao: Unlikely considering he probably won't be in the game

Liu Kang: Hmmmmmmm, Zombie Hero, I see a problem there

Sub-Zero: Very good chance, considering he seems to be the only truly good fighter that hasn't been gone for a few games.

i would like to see evil over come in this game. maybe the new Shokan ( if there is in fact one) or in everyones ending someone good dies to the Dragon King. im just hoping it will not be that Ben guy i already hate him and i never played as him yet. what about Kabal though??

I don't think Mortal Kombat Deception will have a hero, not this time. I think in Deception we will suffer a downfall. Why else would it be called Deception?? But then again, that's just my theory. Or one of our good guys turns out to be a bad guy, like say: Sub Zero?? Scorpion?? Sub Zero looks too evil, but that's just my opinion. What do you guys think about my theory???

I expect at least 1 good guy to turn evil, or Midway wouldn't be able to call it Deception.

I hope there isn't a hero. I know Kung Lao was meant to be the hero in MK DA but I don't think he quite pulled it off. I don't think Sub will be the hero because he's not stereotypical enough, He looks too old. I say Kobra/Ben/whatever would be good because he's young and fresh, and new characters can be good as the main character, I mean look at Jin or whatever from Tekken 3. His first game and he manages to pull it off, why not in Mortal Kombat??

Although I would like Subzero to be the main hero, I'm sure the new protagonist is going to be Ben/Kobra. I don't know about you games, but I find that a little lame.
