Who said Li Mei is back? No one. There was no indication in any magazine or any website that Li Mei will be returning as a playable character on the roster. I'm assuming everyone is going by that PSM pick, which clearly shows Mileena, and not Li Mei. Somehow I doubt they're going to have Mileena and the Mileena rip-off in the same game.

YEAH, i AGREE 100 % Li Mei was only oggled for her breasti-sis. She was below average, i much liked Frost and Sonya!. I'd rather one of the 24 characters be NEW or Smoke or something rather than this bitch...theres already a good amount of females in the game.

Li Mei isn't confirmed in MKDeception, but I hope that she finally appears playable in MKDeception, and demonstrates that she is a VERY GOOD CHARACTER!!!

They had Scorpion and two Scorpion rip-offs in MK2, As well as Kitana and a Kitana rip-off in MK2. They had Sub-Zero and a Sub-Zero rip-off in MK:DA. And now Ermac and the Ermac rip-off (but a good rip-off) in MK:D.

Smoke and Noob in MK2 were just unplayable secret characters. Same with Jade.

Frost wasn't so much a Sub-Zero rip off as she was simply related to sub-zero in some way. They didn't play the same at all.

As for Kenshi and Ermac...yeah, I suppose Kenshi was an Ermac rip-off in DA, but who knows how Ermac will play in Deception? He could be totally revamped now.

Bottomline is Li Mei was just a completely boring character. There's no confirmation that she's in, and no indication of it at all in any mag or website. Her story sucked, her fighting ability was below average, and the sai...come on, if you're gonna have a chick in purple who's wielding sai, just give us mileena. It was a nice attempt at a new character, but I could care less about Li Mei. I probably only played as her 3 times the entire time that I played MKDA, and frankly I wouldn't care if she never showed up again. In fact I forgot she even existed until people started bringing it up on this message board again.

Can you say.....filler? I think li mei is worst than your average "crappy" character. I'm hoping she wouldnt make it in deception, but the chances of that happening is really slim. Her story sucks, and IMO, i hope she never returns.

right on TemperaryUserName, Li Mei is an awsome character she just need a fair chance of proving it in mkd. i think everyone to spoiled on having all theses classic characters back. they need give fresh faces like li mei and kenshi and others a chance in the mk storyline. they need to keep mk storyline fresh.

Well, atleast tanya was somewhat good in MK4, she wasnt all THAT bad, atleast not compared to li mei. I dont mind if tanya ends up making it in. But blah, glad to hear this about li mei.

I liked Tanya in MK4, pretty cool she's getting a chance MK:D. Would she be considered a new character or a classic?

I am not a big Li Mei fan. I am all for the MK team bring her back for MK6, but at the same time if she is brought back they must bring back frost. Because to me , Li Mei didn't a critial story or ending like Frost or Kenshi. I just hope out of the 6 Frost returns. -_-

Sure you can say they’re different, but that’s only because when Boon was blatantly ripping Meleena off he made a conscious effort to make her at least seem new and exciting. Face the facts Li Mei was, IS and always will be a DUD!!! She’s the female Striker of MK (ok, to be fair it’s a tie between her & Tanya). Can you honestly say that out of 6 returning characters from DA she is more deserving than Subzero, Scorpion, Kenshi, Quan Chi, Mavado, Shang Tsung? And to a lesser extent Kung Lao, Sonya, Frost, Cyrax or Raiden??

There is absolutely ZERO possibility of her making it into MKD!! ZERO, ZIP, ZILCH!! I’m going to go out on a limb and say she will NEVER be a playable character in ANY future MK releases. That is how horribly bad she is.

I’m sorry if I offended any Li Mei fans but I think the 11 characters I’ve mentioned from DA are way more deserving to return and since 4 of those 6 are pretty much confirmed I can’t see her beating the other 7 for one of the remaining 2 slots.

I don't really like Li Mei, but I think they could really have a twist in her storyline, like her being Shang Tsung's daughter. I think they'll give her an even better weapon style in the next game (if she's in).

Li Mei will be in MKDeception... I trust the MKTeam and she will not disappoint to me... that Li Mei is looked like Mileena? As if the character could not change of aspect(like Sonya)...
