Yay, we get to play with mokap but we cant choose smoke or noob by themselves. Boon, please change this!

He said at e3 when they showed hte character select screen they are together but thats as of today boon can change it if he wants.

well in the new interview boon says they might be a team but it wont b hard to seperate them ;)

While it would be really cool to play them separately, it would make sense to keep them together, with the current fighting style set-up: all fighters right now have two styles, and they did say that with KAK, multiple weapon styles would be possible. If that's true, then it would also be possible to have multiple unarmed styles, and in Devastation, Noob-Smoke together had precisely two styles, one for each characters. Leaving them together would technically allow Boon and the gang to port them over without a lot of changes, whereas splitting them apart would require encoding the moves for two new weapon styles, one for each of them. Not only would that take up more coding as far as actual moves goes, but they will also have to encode and render the weapons themselves and their visual movements. Considering the sheer amount of render and movement coding that's already being pumped into this game, it wouldn't surprise me if they tried looking for ways to cut corners without necessarily cutting on the quality, and keeping Noob and Smoke together would give them some free space to work with.

NO Noob Smoke , its the Last Game so DO WHATEVER IT TAKES to do it and Ed said they could, Smoke need to be Solo for the first and probally the last time My Fav all time MK Character , I will be sooooo Disappointed it they dont change it, The only way I could live with it , is if in KAK you can Make a Robo Smoke that emits smoke from the body and same for Human Form or Human Shaped form that is Smoke. And to have all the ninja outfits from MK1 to MK Trilogy Available to KAK to make Smoke. As well as all the attributes to make a Noob Saibot KAK

One of the main reasons I want Noob and Smoke to be seperated is because, that in MKD in the Noob-Smoke ending, it basically was just Noob Saibot getting the ending, and it just pretty much showed Smoke standing there.. also it would be cool, because then they would get their own seperate endings.

Good Thread. And i'm ok with the pretty much of you. Seperate Noob and Smoke !!!! Like many of you, i thought it was maybe the Last MK with them, with all characters since MK1, so we need to see them seperate.

mastermalone has said that Noob-Smoke was still one character.
Here's hoping that the team decides to at least have the option of them being seperate.

So, my POV is that given the fact that he's now been asked several times about this, and given his interview response, chances of separation are vastly improved.

I honestly don't want them together and I think the fans that like them together don't realize that they were too powerful in Deception.
If they're together in the storyline, I say they should play it smart with having them together in the select screen, however....you can only choose ONE of them to fight in the match.
None of this mix and match crap lol.
I know from online play playing as N/S and against him and having one of the best on xbox with him.They're much too powerful together in gameplay IMO.
Separate them in gameplay, but in storyline they can do what ever they want lol.

I'd say that since judging from E3 they barely have a 1/4 of the game complete, there will be a massive overhaul done by the time ois release and in the interview with ED Boon he mentions the concept of separating them just hasn't been brought to the table yet.
I'm actually wondering how they will even get everything done by the release date, cuz it seems there is a lot left for them to do to the game :-\

It seemes stupid to put them together. Why just Smoke/Noob together? Dosnt make sence. Every character is playable solo.. .exept those two? I dont think so. Plus Boon should really think about the fact that there are alot of fans of only Smoke or only Noob-Saibot and a team would mess things up for them. Make them seperate with there own endings and storys!!!

Noob was my favorite in MK:T. His moves was very good and his history was ok.
But I was really disappointed with him in MK:D. He was just a fighting style. His history was better developed and I liked it, but I would prefer him as a normal character.
Smoke was even worse. he didn't have a bio or an end. He was the more pointless character in MK:D.
I still like Noob and Smoke as well, but if they remain together in MK:A, they will drop in my list. So, I hope to see them as different characters.

I think people are assuming you will be able to create them separate perfectly in KAK, but what if some of the peices are missing and you can't make an exact replica, that would suck!!
It should be overwhelmingly obvious that fans want them separate goddammit!!!!!

wouldnt noobsaibot be extremely similar to reiko? the same teleport, ninja stars, and shadow throw? but together they have other fighters teleports...
well they really should be seperate.
noob needs a scythe, angled air fireball, and reaper alt. costume.
smoke needs a human costume. and a really cool weapon.

Reiko's Shadow Throw move is his teleport, not a literal shadow throwing the opponent like Noob Saibot in MKT. They only have the teleport and ninja stars in common. Also, Smoke's no longer human, and never will be, especially with the machines now running through his body again. The closest thing to human he'll ever be is his alternate costume in MK:D, which isn't very human to begin with. Plus, no new costumes will be given to the characters who were already in MK:DA and MK:D, so no point in hoping for new costumes.
