Occupy protesters are doing it wrong anyway, what they need to do is storm the capital and the stock exchange. and by storm I mean they need to run inside the buildings by the tens of thousands.

So, I read a Yahoo article that talks about PETA slamming Mario's Tanooki suit because it's "fur." Here's the funny thing:

First off, he's worn that suit since 1988 and it's one of an interesting suit he has worn throughout the years. If they haven't bashed this suit back then, why does it make a big difference right now?

Secondly, he's got a Frog Suit as well. I don't hear anything about PETA bashing that suit. So it's obvious that they have not touched Super Mario Bros. 3, otherwise, they would have picked it up that he wears two kinds of animal suits.

Thirdly, it's a fucking kid-friendly game. Mario has never been violent towards anything except for Goombas. How anyone will sit there and picture Mario skinning a raccoon or a squirrel to put on as a body suit is beyond me. I look at his Tanooki suit and I automatically picture Mario changing into a statue.

I have no idea why PETA is being totally anal about stuff lately, especially since they believe that Sea World are slave owners to whales, it bothers me to think that they really need to protest against a game that is more popular than their group over a suit that no one even considers to be a bad thing.

If they really have a hard time coping with the fact that Mario wears a suit that resembles an animal, then they need to avoid video games in general, becuase they've never been too friendly towards the animal kingdom, I can assure you that. So PETA, either deal with it or butt out of video games, no one cares about your issues with animals and the virtual world.

The reason why PETA is ignorant and comes off as attention whoring: They're focused on stuff that doesn't matter, what they need to be worried about is the cruel conditions some animals live in, real animals, not virtual reality ones, especially when Mario isn't showing, condoning or supporting abuse of animals and even if the game was, it's a video game/ not real life.

Mario wore a penguin suit too, Mario is such a kid friendly game and I always just picture it like Mario's going out for Halloween with his adorable animal suit, it's benign, nothing sinister about it, I feel like people look for things to complain about.

In other news, I'm back addicted to MK and I'm not sure if it's a joke or an actual addiction. It's like June all over again.

Also, it's taking a little too long to hear from this fucking employer. Whatever. At least I have music (and by way of music) money to occupy myself with.

Finally had the time to start moving my figures into their display case last night. The MK figures look great together, especially with a dismembered Freddy Kreuger at their feet.

Mastered Jax last night. Only Jade, Nightwolf, Sonya, Sheeva, and Sindel remain.

I should play UMVC3. I did buy it after all. _>

Doesn't PETA pay places to simulate awful conditions just so that they can have photos for their pamphlets? And I swear there are statistics somewhere that show that PETA kills a shitload of animals. PETA is so stupid, and whenever anyone tells me that they've become a vegetarian because PETA brainwashed them, I instantly lose respect for them.

I care about animals. I used to have an adopted tiger named Nellie back in Asia a long time ago... They lost track of her sadly and I haven't gotten a letter from them since about finding her. Heck, I have an eleven year old stuffed tiger named Nellie and I intend on being buried with her when I pass on.

I care about saving the animals, but I'm not going to protest a game, whether it's Mario or any other game, because it has something that is against the animal kingdom. They are video games, featuring things that aren't real even though it looks completely real.

You don't see people protesting games that kills other people, so there's no reason to get very picky about something in a video game that has lasted over twenty something years. (I know Mario is older than that, but he's changed into suits starting in 1988, and it's been twenty plus years since then)

So, PETA can continue being angry and making their own games about saving animal skin against Mario, you're not proving anything other than you're just being very rude against a game that has more fans than your entire group.

You were created in 1980, eight years after that, an awesome game for Nintendo came out basically owning anything that came in its way, and I strongly doubt you had issues with his animal suits back then.
