No Elder Scrolls game is without a sizable amount of bugs and glitches.
Oh, and the sweet amount of mods.

I've heard that too TBH. Meh, it doesn't bother me too much actually. The leaked copies don't have patches yet. The game is massive, attempting to correct all the bugs would be a bit frivolous. As long as it's not buggy to the degree of New Vegas (which wasn't made by Bethesda), I'll be alright with minor bugs with the promise of future patches. As for exploits....that just depends on how extreme they are as well.
As for mods, I'll have to wait for my new PC to experience that greatness.

Guess who's back?
So it looks like the playable character in Oblivion has canonically been Sheogorath for the past 200 years. Pretty coo

Because Daggerfall and Morrowind take place before Oblivion...

Obviously.
How do you explain then that in that time the Nerevarine which is an altogether different quasi-deity would be Sheogorath?
The Neravarine (Morrowind) isn't the new Sheogorath. The Champion of Cyrodil (Oblivion) is. They aren't the same person, because canonically up to Oblivion the Neravarine went on an expedition to Akavir and never returned. Play the Shivering Isles if you want more info, or read the backstory. I believe he meant your playable character from Oblivion would be making a return as Sheogorath, since you claimed that title in the Shivering Isles expansion.

Yeah they did for almost every side quest, I thought.
Okay, guys, I'm a bit of a n00berz in this case, as I only got in to playing Elder Scrolls when Oblivion came out.
And I only played it because my brother bought it, and then never played it...
So anyway, I really want to play Skyrim (My character in Oblivion was a Nord, fuck yeah) and I come here with a rather heavy request...
You see, I want to know some essential backstory stuff, and maybe even a little deeper. Every wiki site I've tried explains things like I should already know them, and only confuses me further. If someone with a vast knowledge of the series could fill me in on the big stuff, and maybe even delve a bit deeper if you think it will be good for me to know when playing this one, that would be great.
If not, I shall cry later,

This Steam download feels like it's taking forever. Why couldn't they just put the game on the damn disc?
