So we've been out all through the city looking for it, from outside nightclubs to back alleys, I've yet to find it. I know it's futile, but it's all I feel I can do. There are a few main features we've been looking for. It was an old '96 green car, with ugly hubcaps that look like soccer balls (that I'd yet to get replaced), a broken antenna, a spoiler, and my specific license plate.
We've found a lot of very similar cars in all our time spent looking for it, but none with all the specifications listed above, but some with a lot of them. here's the basic stats of the past little bit:

Total number of days my car has been missing: 3
Total time spent looking for it: 30 hrs
Total number of similar cars that don't match the specifications: 42
Total sleep time: 6 hrs

I don't know what else I can do to look for it.

Any suggestions of where I could look, or anything else I can do?
Please help.

The police said they found it at midnightish on Sunday. Fucking rights. The dude who stole it was actually DRIVING IT AROUND.

Anyway, he went through all the trouble of actually CHANGING the VIN on it, and he STILL got caught. Sonofabitch deserves what's coming.

Either way, they have to get some specialist to come in and look at the VIN, and other things need to be done before I get her back, but it's looking good. If this IS my car, I should DEFS have it back soon! I'll take pictures once this all pans out. Happy, happy pictures.

Got a hold of the officer who found it again. I don't know if they're allowed to do this, but we found out the name of the guy who stole it. He's a friend of a friend of a friend sort of thing. It just keeps getting jucier.

However, I was told I'm going to have Turtle back by the end of the week! I'm excited! I'm so sick of taking the bus!

Also, I havn't seen her yet, but I was told there's no body damage what-so-ever. Pretty cool stuff.

Ok, so apparently there's a chance I might not be getting it at all now. My fucking insurance company is jerking me around. Fucking christ. So I don't know what's happening yet.

Alright. I suppose I should update to let you know what's going on...

The insurance company thinks I stole my own vehicle, which is hilarious for several reasons:

a) THEY FOUND SOMEONE ELSE DRIVING IT.

b) In order to get someone to steal my car, I'd have to pay them off. The damn thing is worth only $800 in insurance, and NOBODY would steal a car for less than $800. Seriously. Wtf.

c) I DON'T WANT THE INSURANCE MONEY. I WANT MY FUCKING CAR BACK. JESUS.


So, I went down to write ANOTHER statement about it, and it turnes out it wasn't because they wanted to hear about it again, they basically interrogated me. It was just... Pathetic. It turns out my insurance company hadn't even TALKED to the police about the fact that they found someone driving it. But whatever, I think their past the point of being suspicious, and are just basically bullshitting at this point. I mean, fuck. I've called eight hundred times about it, and can't get a simple call back. Last I heard, the lady I was dealing with said that she was "Sending ANOTHER tow truck to pick up my car to get it inspected". WHAT THE HELL DOES THAT MEAN!? That was a week ago now. She hasn't called me back, hasn't done anything. I don't even know where my car IS. I'm going to keep calling today. Repeatedly. Until someone picks up. I'm sick of this crap. I just want my bloody car back.

So that's what's been up. Wish me luck, guys.

The insurance company screwed me around so much, that I just lost it on them. They were trying to tell me it would be $1500 to replace the VIN that the guy fucked up. Saying it was worth more than the car, so they were just going to pay me out for the car. But I REALLY just wanted my car back.

So I argued and argued, and FINALLY, it looks like things are going my way. I'm pretty excited to have Turtle back.
