i dont believe in god. or for that matter, religion at all.

BUT for those of you who are faithfull, I watch murder / detective shows.
they have stories of like grown men raping/killing 10 year old boys. THEN you have people flying planes into buildings....( weither it was the government or not. )

the point is, if there WAS a higher power then what we see...for those of you who call it god...im sure its not worried whether or not you watch porn / sex / play harmless video games / or other harmless activities hardcore christians frown upon. you only live once...enjoy it / be a good person / dont kill thats my religion right there.

God exists.... and so does the devil, and you said that god will stop man from raping and killing 10 yr olds, god will stop terorists, unfortunately he gave us humans free will, and because of that, WE humans are causing too much trouble and causing trouble and pain to our selves.... and rapists and terorists deserve only 1 thing.... Death by the most painfull way possible... oh yeah! torture baby. They will suffer just as they made suffer the family of the guy/girl they killed.

I know it's a weird example of prooving that the Devil and God exist... not in this world but in another way ( heaven or hell ).... but this is the first example i had in my mind, and i couldn't think of others.

I believe in Good and Evil and God vs. The Devil also, but I don't believe that Dark always prevails like someone in here said.

It's equal, the world is about balance, where there's good, there's evil and vice versa.

mkflegend, I know it looks ridiculous for someone to make a big fuss over video games but I know that I am right about what I said and stand by it. There is a bit more to the Commandment of "Thou Shall Not Kill". It is wrong to kill someone along with anything that relates to it including entertainment. Just because the murder in question is a work of fiction does not make it harmless or right. By the way, there is no such thing as God vs the devil because God has already won.

ok how about this, what we are killing are PIXELS they have no life to get rid off, we aren't killing anything at all, a mosquito registers more on the life scale then a pixal and wait if you don't play mortal kombat, why are you even here? answer me that first, then tell me if I am right or wrong about something

Ladymage, What you need to ask yourself is why killing someone is wrong. The answer is because a human being is a image of God. Killing people in games and movies is wrong because it is killing an image of God for entertainment. A image can be considered both fiction and non fiction to us but to God killing anything that resembles a human and thus resembling God is a sin. A bunch of pixels that resemble a human and thus resembling God weigh a Billion times more on the life scale than a live mosquito does any day in the history of time. A bunch of pixels that form a image of a man is a image of God.

To answer your other question, I respond by saying that I did not know I needed a copy of Mortal Kombat on my shelf to post on the general discussion forum.

And to anyone who thinks I am taking this too far, Just be glad that I am not the type that finds out where you live,Straps a bomb around my waist and blows myself up killing you and your loved ones just because your opinions are different than mine.

congradulations, you sir are a now on my bad side, you need to be alive in the first place to have a soul first of all, and pixels do not have souls. The image is fiction end of story. and the reason I asked about you being here is because at one point in someone's life you are a fan of mk and find this place via a search (that is how it should work anyways) but back to my main point, if its not alive you are not killing it, use some logic do you hear me!? In your beliefs god made LIVING humans in his image, not pixels, god doesn't care about pixels, do you realize how insane you sound saying that do you?!

if he exists, he knows i respect him and try not to sin.

but i do feel bad sometimes when i feel happy about dismemberment on a video game.

but knowing the way i respect god, and the way i approach such subjects, he will know i will follow him and worship in my own way and he would know that it is a great factor on my decissions and that i have respect, i consider myself a very clean being, very observant more than involved (accept when it comes to sektor), i take in all the information i can and come up with my own path, i dont join groups of people following the same direction, i am uniwue in my own way.

Ladymage, allow me to point out the problem here in this topic that you and many others seem to have. That problem is that many of you are self-serving and have resorted to self-justification. What all of you are doing is altering and twisting God's word just enough to make all of you feel good and feel that none of you are guilty of sin. If the word of God were a obese man, all of you would have had stripped that man to it's skeleton and twisted that skeleton into a pretzel. Most of you here and the countless people who go to church have been and are being thought a bare boned version of the word of God.Take my word for it. I am perfectly sane and know what I am talking about. It is not my intention to offend any of you here but if you are I will not apoligize and retract my statements. I stand by what I have said. I would rather offend and anger all of you a trillion times over than to offend and anger God even once. As a follower of God, I am not here to compromise with any of you or the rest of the world. As a follower of God, I am here to point my finger at all of you and tell all of you that you are all sinners. Because of compromise we have allowed a sexually misguided gay bishop to enter the house of God. The Church and most christians have committed sin by compromising with the world much like all of you. You all need to comprehend and accept the fact that you are all self-righteous,self-justified,self-serving and misguided people who need to be shown the truth by the Son Of The Living God.

Ladymage your last response was sloppy in so many levels. Let me point out and answer your statements and questions.

1.You said that you may rather go to hell because all your friends seem to go along with all your favorite bands. What did that even mean? You lost me there.

2.Who and where is it said that I don't respect my fellow man? It is very immature for you to make blind assumptions based on a few posts on a message board. You must think you have me figured out.

3.I don't remember hearing about preaching being a bad thing and I am not shoving my beliefs down anyone's throat but simply voicing my opinion.

4.I am saying that playing games and watching movies that show the murder of a human being is wrong. What I am saying is basically a warning. If you want to continue playing your games and watching your movies then by all means continue. I am not going to physically restrain you from doing what you want. You are giving free will after all.

Nope, not buying it man.God wants us to be happy, video games =being happy, getting our minds off the problems of the real world.

And you're wrong with that commandment's meaning comparing it to MK.MK is a video game for the millionth time, it IS NOT REAL!
