I wouldn't pop open a bottle of champagne and hold a victory parade just yet Lady. Wasn't it you who said that you wanted me to back off, to leave you alone, to go away and let you do your own hell bound thing? Yes, I believe it was you. I was going to accommodate you since I was annoying you and all but it looks like you want to argue some more. I'm willing to yell until my throat is sore and type until my fingers are numb. This thread was created because I wanted to know what other people thought of this situation. I personally don't think playing games is a sin because that's just silly. On the news we hear about murders, rapes, and beheadings, and I think that we get away from that by playing games. If we play violent games is not because we want to kill but because we want to be entertained. If we wanted to kill we would be outside in the streets with ak's don't you think so? If you say this games inspire violent acts I will have to say well you right, but to "some" people. These people are the people who are not right in their mind. Surely there's a lot of people who play violent games, but guess what they are responsible enought to know that this is just a "GAME". Please stop the fighting. If you feel like you have to tell someone how to act then don't even post. I want to hear what people think.

unfortunetly, as true as that statement is, there are people that feel the need to try and force opinions on everyone, note the fight, honestly I don't care if people feel those games are violent and evil but don't try and make me agree with you just because I like them and you hate me for that one little thing, I don't think they stop just because someone says "I only want opinions, don't tell us how to think" is going to stop them, their fragile egos can't take the fact people disagree with them so they get defensive and fight back

There is no difference between wrong. God equally condemns all sins, there are no major or minor wrongs. Why?

Very easy. The key does not lies in wether what or how you commit a sin. Sin is unavoidable, men are equally flawed thanks to the primordial sin.
The key is wether you are willáing to repent your sins wholeheartedly.

That means taking responsibility for ALL of your sins and actions, aknowledgement of their wrongness and total repentance. Only those, who
are ready to stand up and say that "this is all I have done wrong, I am ashamed and beg for forgiveness to the Savior, for he has redeeemed
my sins through his death."

First of all, I will admit that my last few posts were rather vague. I do have a life outside this forum you know. But now that I have alot of time in my hands please allow me to explain my words.

LadyMage - I compared you to a alcoholic because you are both addicted to something. A alcoholic is addicted to liquor just as you are addicted to sin and you both get angry and upset when someone tells you that your habits are a problem. You say you play violent games and watch violent movies to relieve stress? To relieve the stress of what exactly? Are you trying to relieve the stress of not being able to kill someone?

ShingoEX - You and LadyMage accuse me of trolling. Do you know what the slang definition of a troll is? It is someone who angers and offends you and as I have had heard before " The one who is angered and offended first loses the war". So go on and call me a troll until you cough blood. You are just reminding me of my coming victory over you and that you don't realize it yet.

There is very little difference between what you and the romans are doing. If I were to tell a roman spectator that what they were doing is wrong they would tell me something very similar to what you are telling me now. It would go something like this " I am not doing anything wrong. I am not killing anyone. I am just watching the games. Is it wrong for me to watch now? ". Are you all seeing the resemblance here?

mkflegend - When this board gets some generic icons I will be more than happy to change it but for know this icon will have to do.

There are no layers in hell and you will suffer the same torment as all the others there. The only way to escape the eternal death is through Jesus Christ. All the things you have said makes me believe that you have hardly ever read The Bible and know very little about God.

The real problem of the world is that you along with 90% of the world have this " If it makes you feel good then do it " mentality which explains why the world is in it's current sorry state. If it feels good for a husband to beat his wife so that he may relieve his stress then do it. As I said earlier, you are addicted to sin because it makes you feel good. Ignorance to what...your beliefs?

I simply don't believe as you do, and please don't tell me what is "right" and what is "wrong", because your beliefs are no more important or *right* than mine are.

Don't tell me how to think and don't step on my toes over it. I don't rely on lectures to *tell* me how to believe, especially ones that practically condemn and threaten me...I rely on my own personal beliefs.

Marx, just so your know, this is a partial appology cause I was yelling and being a bit mean, not for what I think or what I think of you, just some of the things I said

What got me bad wasn't your beliefs, you are free to express them, its the fact you basically dismissed the beliefs of everyone else on the board that didn't line up with your own. You basically did have an I am right and you are wrong mentality, when no one is right or wrong here, understand that and I won't be angry, simple no?

LadyMage, If you are being sincere and not sarcastic about it, then I will accept whatever apology you offer. I suppose I should explain my "fanatical" attitude. When someone puts down and criticizes my beliefs I will respond in kind. You were right when you said that I dismissed any other beliefs besides my own. Unfortunately that is rather common as my beliefs have been dismissed by others without them giving it any thought and have been told that my beliefs are a fairy tale. That is why I dismissed everybody else beliefs and did what I could to debunk them. In any case, I would like to send out a sincere and honest apology to you, ShegoEx and to anyone else who was insulted by my remarks. It wasn't intentional but that's no excuse. So please accept my apologies for whatever it may be worth to you.

Listen man, you can believe what you wish.I only ask you don't force what you believe onto me or anyone else in here that doesn't agree with you.

Like others in here have said besides myself man, watching a rated movie would be committing a sin as well if you're really worried about games like MK and GTA.Hell, we are borned sinned.And what really matters is repent before we die like chrome said more or less.The one time I agree with him about something lol.Now for games like MK, GTA, Doom etc.

Which I'll admit, they're NOT for kids but if you're over 18 and are mature enough to handle the concept and NOT be stupid enough to let the game influence you just because it's a game and feel it's ok, then people like this are just dumb straight out.

But the same can easily be said for a movie also, I knew this kid back in high school years ago that tried a stunt from jackass and almost killed himself.The whole school found out about it and was really embarassing for this particular kid.He transfered later on I heard after that.

Anyway, that's all I'm saying but you already know how I feel about this.

As for the avy, don't sweat it.I had that first before anyone for the longest time but I don't care man.Keep it if you will, I have the one from MK:A screen(or the first version of the whole select screen anyway)
