I'm definitely up for a new Killer Instinct game. I would've liked to see some KI characters as guests in the X-Box 360 version of Street Fighter X Tekken (and Tekken X Street Fighter), even though that'd mean I likely wouldn't get to play as them nor fight them as I don't own an XB360 and am not certain there's enough great games exclusive to it.

Just a question to you guys and gals: which boss did like better? Eyedol or Gargos?

I liked Eyedol better design-wise, I thought he was more menacing. When I was younger and played that game, Eyedol was kind of unsettling to encounter the first several times. That, and I only ever beat Eyedol once (I was like... eight, okay?) .... Gargos seemed considerably easier with a much less interesting and threatening look. That said, I liked the Gargos games better, because Maya instantly became my favorite character. I also played Orchid quite a bit in both though..... Anyway!!!

I still have a Nintendo 64 locked away somewhere and I think KI Gold is with it... I don't remember. I played that game as recently as a year or two ago.

Definately Eyedol. A two-headed "cyclop" (one eye on each head) with goat legs and a massive club... yup, that's one awesome boss right there. Gargos just seemed very uninspired, a typical looking demonic gargoyle character, nothing stood out about him, and besides that, he was easy as pie where Eyedol was a real challenge.

Gotta love the name. Once Eyedol earns some more publicity, there will soon be a new audition show on air, entitled "American Eyedol".

What kind of characters would you want for KI3 to have if NRS ever decide to buy it from RARE?

My only requirement is the return of Maya... Though, Glacius is an interesting case. I think he'd look phenomenal assuming the effort was put into the visuals of his melting and whatnot, but I think he'd be such an interesting character in a modern 3D game instead of a 2D one. Imagine the crazy melting shenanigans he can get into with that extra axis heh... "You trying to hit me? Sorry, I melted sideways." etc....

New characters would have to be along the same lines as the others where each person has their gimmick... In this case, I don't really think of gimmicky as a bad thing. Fulgore's the robot, Cinder's the fire man, Glacius is the ice man, there's a dinosaur, a werewolf, Maya: Queen of the Amazon, the token Native America, the skeleton, a boxer who WILL shoot you, etc.... Very few of the characters had a similar background, and half of them aren't human so (at least not anymore)... I expect plenty of non-humans, former humans, and "insert culture here" representatives.

Still no word about reboot killer instinct.

Aren't Fulgore and Glacius from KI2/Gold actually Fulgore II and Glacius II? (Ironically in the past), why did you skip them?, also Cinder's dead isn't he?, although I wouldn't be complaining if he returned.

if they ever make another one it better have spinal. he's always been my main. bring back the boat level with updated graphics with the skeletons rowing the boat. that level was sweet and i think that was spinals arena in killer instict gold and in killer instinct 2.

Can't believe they haven't taken Killer Instinct as their next project yet. Guess we'll have to wait till the time is right.

Maybe once their done with "Injustice", then they'll go to MK10 & then KI3 or reboot.

I know it sounds selfish, but i do think that Ed Boon should work only on Mortal Kombat or something he contributed to create.
He did not create Killer Instinct and neither the DC Universe. He can be a fan of both, but he wil never understand ho this two franchises really work.
Look at Hideo Kojima: se is most famous for the creation of Metal Gear franchise, but he also created Zone of the Enders and was one of the minds behind Castlevania games. Something he created or was involved into since the beginning.
Ed Boon worked on...well pinballs, MK and the Grid.
I don't see him taking on the Killer Instinct franchise and WB doesn't own the rights. The only thing i could picture out is a MK vs KI crossover, but don't get your hype and hope too high.

Well, if that's your opinion... However, I believe they could. They did an awesome job with the new MK gameplay wise and if they got the help from those who made the original KI games (or rather, those who are left), I am more than positively sure it would be fantastic!

And I want a new Killer Instinct, because it is possibly my favourite fighting game series ever while Mortal Kombat is very close behind. To see those characters revived into NRS' style and newly gotten support and resources from WB, it would be a dream come true.

If your talking character design then honestly, Mortal Kombat has been lacking in that department lately

I mean the gameplay, story is great but killer instinct has its own distinct style, something only the original developers can pull off, wherever the hell they are

The main guys behind Killer Instinct need to get together though and do something

I am talking overall. I like NRS' character designs of the new game and I wouldn't mind if Killer Instinct looked like it.

I hope they do get a chance to do KI in their own style and they'll keep the original specs of the game once they study it and ensure they do it right.

Anyhoo, I wouldn't mind if NRS handled Killer Instinct, as long as the series remained exclusive to Nintendo. I want Orchid in Super Smash Bros. damnit!

Anyhoo, I think the earlier games should be released for download first, to reintroduce the series. A few years afterwards, the third game can be made.

I’d love for there to be a new KI game. I never got a chance to play KI 2 but I’ve played the hell out of KI for SNES. I remember that sky level what a blast. I think the combo system and soundtrack is what put KI ahead of everything else. Like Combo’s theme on KI2 C TO THE O TO THE MBO Or how menacing Chief Thunder was! It was so cool landing a Killer Combo. Such a satisfying experience. Or an Ultra Combo knocking the player off a skyscraper and they land on top of a car. I say they port the game to Live already.
