I think you'll find Powergirl's breasts are probably the largest.

Catwoman/Elektra is one of the ones the crossover got right. If anything, they could've been a lot more brutal about it.

Yeah, Catwoman has some skill, but she just isn't even in Elektra's league!

Catwoman's a sassy chick with some above average training, but Elektra is an ultimate assassin! It really comes down to something as simple as that. It's a total mismatch.

You more obviously put Catwoman against someone like Black Cat, or if that's too obvious for you, maybe White Tiger or Hellcat. Although, even those are weighted against the powerless Catwoman.

Outside of Batman Returns, Catwoman really isn't psychotic in the slightest...
... If anything, Elektra's sometimes a little unhinged...

Apart from Kingjolly, who's being a comic-stealing prick (tongue), do any of you actually have a reason for thinking Aquaman could come close to beating the Sub-Mariner?

There's only -one- argument I can think of that brings Aquaman even into the stadium with the Sub-Mariner, and strangely enough it's one I never see people bring up: -- Aquaman has telepathic abilities and control marine life with them.

Namor's a half-human mutant, but presumably in the magic land of broad strokes, Aquaman can at least attempt to influence Namor.
Of course, in his plethora of powers (canonical or otherwise), Namor's mind is right up there. Not because he has any innate special mind based powers, but because he's incredibly strong-willed.

Aquaman's low level telepathy would be entirely ineffective, but all other things considered, it's the only realm of possibility where you could concoct a potential victory for Aquaman.
Even the farcical instance in Marvel vs DC is frought with improbability, because as I alluded to with the cartoon theme, a whale really isn't going to make the Sub-Mariner sneeze. This guy rumbles and bitch slaps the Hulk from time to time.

So, to the uninformed masses I decree: You are wrong.
You may now again go about your business with the bliss of ignorance!

filth Wrote:
all the rewriting of namors story and powers make him sound more like a mk character than a marvel one,but ill still go with him.

I don't know what kingjolly wrote, but changes to the character have been fairly minor. As far as his abilities go, the only notable changes have been the stripping of some of the less relevant and silly powers.

Ie; He isn't generally recognised to have the electric charge of an eel, or the inflatable qualities of a puffer fish anymore.
Otherwise he's still the high-flying, super-strong, crazy eyed ruler of the sea.

mkflegend Wrote:
I think people underestimate Aquaman in general over the years even though I'm not too fond that much.He is "The king of the sea" is for a reason.

He's the Atlantean ruler for the same reason Namor is. Birthright.
The only difference is Namor can single handedly fight off any army that tries to overthrow him.

There's a shakey question mark over whether or not Aquaman has super-strength (re; the crushing depths of the sea, and his residence there), but even at it's best it doesn't enter the realm of Namor's.

Likewise, while both are cunning and competent rulers, Namor and his kingdom have always been the more imposing.

Namor came first, too.
Stupid orange poser!

mkflegend Wrote:

I'm not wrong, so he got his hand eaten by fish? lol Aquaman as said here even can control fish, sea life etc and also one thing that wasn't meantioned that much the deeper he goes the more invulnerable he gets.Stronger and more powerful he becomes.wink

I never said he was Superman lol man or invisible. You misunderstand me.

Anyway, for the newer rounds I say Supergirl by a little, NightWing by default I guess lol I don't know, I never liked him or DD...Catwomen gets my vote.Electra is lame...to me

I said that -- AND HIS HAND WAS EATEN BY FISH.
Yeah, that's a great argument...

Wow, did you even read my post?
Yeah, there's a shakey argument that says if Aquaman can survive in the depths of the ocean, maybe we can say he has some level of super strength. Of course, traditionally, he hasn't had any impressive physical powers, being limited to the undersea swimming and the fish-talking.

Sub-Mariner has always been stronger in the water.
If you want to say Aquaman is stronger in the water too, that just means he's still light years behind the Sub-Mariner who could slap Superman in the chops and live to tell the tale.

mkflegend Wrote:

I never said you said that I said that you said that he said that we said...

Mine was a comprehensive post, that squashed all logical adversary.
The point of course is that Sub-Mariner IS that strong. Aquaman is not.

And you're right. He isn't invisible, either.

mkflegend Wrote:

Continuing the theme of wrong, Daredevil probably comes out with the edge. As skilled and seasoned as Nightwing is, with training from THE Batman under his belt, Daredevil's got as much, and a gritty willingness to go that extra mile.

That, and it's hard for a Nightwing to get the drop on a guy who has 360 peripheral 'vision.' And since he usually isn't as gadget-inclined as Batman, you'll have to save the 'sonar interference' for the Bat.

She-Hulk and Supergirl is a tough one. Neither is as powerful as their male counterpart (burn your bras!!! booo!!!), and Supergirl has that whole fifteen year old thing going for her at the moment. Putting her considerably lower than She-Hulk on the experience and execution scale.

Just to keep your record in tact, I think I'd actually honestly have to say this one is probably leaning toward She-Hulk. That's a tough one, though.

Elektra whips Catwoman without a second though.
You rubes and your preferences! IRRELEVENT!

And yes! You're right! Aquaman is not invisible!

Or in short the contents of this post can be summed up with a single: WRONG!!!

Martian Manhunter

Martian Manhunter

Martian Manhunter has been described as "the Swiss Army knife of superheroes." He possesses many similar powers to those of Superman -- super-human strength, stamina, durability, flight, speed and "Martian" vision -- at levels close to those of Superman himself. In various altercations with Superman, Martian Manhunter is usually able to stun the Man of Steel, but ultimately loses the fight. He has fought Captain Marvel to a standstill using nothing more than his strength.

He is also able to shapeshift (adopting human form, elongating his limbs, growing to immense size, and so on), turn invisible (in most Silver Age sources none of his other powers work while he is invisible), and alter his density (increasing it to become tougher and stronger, decreasing it to become incorporeal and thus able to pass through solid objects such as walls).

In addition to his vast physical powers, J'onn is also a very powerful telepath, often acting as a "switchboard" for other JLAers in order to coordinate the team's actions. His defeat of Despero in JLI revealed that he is able to use his telepathy to completely submerge another being's mind in a permanent "wish-fulfillment" scenario, but that this is such a strain that he was only able to do it once — in Martian culture, this was a last gift to the dying from their loved ones.[issue # needed]
He also possesses 9 different senses, though these are ill-defined and often forgotten.

For most of his existence, J'onn was shown to have a deep-seated pyrophobia. Numerous explanations have been given for this over the years, usually (but not always) portraying it as a racial trait of Martians. Most recently it was revealed, during the Trial By Fire storyline (JLA nos. 84-89), that this fear was instilled on a genetic level by the Guardians of the Universe 20,000 years ago, when they split the original "Burning" Martians into the Green Martians and White Martians. The Guardians instilled this fear because the psychic suffering of others, combined with the physical conditions of an inferno, allow the barbaric, ruthless, and brilliant "Burning" Martians to asexually reproduce. As a species the Burning Martians existed only "to cause suffering and burn and breed," but if they were too afraid to go near fire, they could not reproduce.

At the end of the Trial by Fire arc, J'onn told Superman of the changes he'd gone through. "The flame and I are again bound, body and soul... but not as before... I can withstand simple fire without pain. Candle flame, or a burning forest, it matters not unless -- they are flames of psychic significance. Flames of suffering, as The Burning created... flames of passion, as an arsonist might create... flames of love. Those... those most of all I cannot bear." This has more or less been ignored by subsequent writers, however.

Super-Skrull

Like all Skrulls, the Super-Skrull is a shape-shifter. Thus he can imitate the appearance of any of the four members of the Fantastic Four, as well as their powers.

The Super-Skrull has been bionically re-engineered to possess the combined superhuman powers of the Fantastic Four. He can thus mimic the fiery powers of the Human Torch, the superhuman strength of the Thing, the power of invisibility of the Invisible Woman, and the stretching ability of Mister Fantastic. His body has been surgically implanted with numerous power-receptors able to gather the same cosmic energy that mutated the Fantastic Four and mimic the functions of their powers.
Because Skrulls are no longer evolutionarily susceptible to mutation, the Super-Skrull's superhumanoid powers could not be derived naturally. His body's artificial power receptors gather ambient cosmic energy and are dependent upon his immediate access to that energy for their power level. Thus, the Super-Skrull's artificial powers vary in degree. On Earth, dependent solely on the cosmic energy that penetrates naturally through Earth's atmosphere, the Super-Skrull was only about half as powerful as the members of the Fantastic Four were at the time he first gained his powers. Supplied with additional cosmic energy from the Skrullian power beam (whose source is a large cosmic power transforming satellite in orbit around Tarnax, the Skrull system's sun), the Super-Skrull could surpase the ability levels of all four members of the Fantastic Four.

The Super-Skrull, despite his power enhancement, is still subject to fatigue, disease and injury. His enhanced stamina permits him to use his powers to peak exertion (regardless of what that peak level currently is) for up to an hour before fatigue seriously impairs them. The Super-Skrull can use any combination of his Fantastic Four-like power, including all four of them at once.

The Super-Skrull's abilities have since been augmented so that he no longer requires the power beam. His powers are actually greater than those of the Fantastic Four.(for example, unlike the Human Torch, he can manifest his flame in space)

The Super-Skrull possesses certain hypnotic abilities, the limits of which are unknown.

The Super-Skrull is an excellent hand-to-hand combatant, having been extensively trained in the art of warfare by the Skrull military.
The Super-Skrull's costume is a Skrull military uniform that provides him life support in space and alters as he changes shape and size.

So this would be an unbalanced match. Unless if Marty could hide his weakness and move fastly avoiding Skrully's fire attack then he would claim a victory with a super blow on Skrully.

Yeah, horrible mismatch. Upagainst a Martian Manhunter you might have been better with someone like Vision.
Especially since the Super-Skrull, for most of his career, hasn't even had the shape shifting powers of the other Skrulls. The resonance is lost!

But, yeah. It's going to get done to death but obviously Super-Skrull is going to win it inadvertently.
He's going to flame on early in the bout and win it by accident.

Even at the best of times, MM's lucky if he can brave a fire to save someone. In an on-going fight, it's just asking too much. Fear wins out!

First of all. Ty KJ.

Secondly, I adore Martian Manhunter. So ultimately im gonna pick him. His allie is superman. And he also has the ability to use telepathy. Thus not speaking for or asking for help with words. Superman has the abilty to use fire and water. So if called upon by manhunter. Skrull is screwed. MM get's my vote.

Powers/abilities

Lobo

His superhuman (or super-Czarnian) abilities include high levels of superhuman strength and durability which, however, seems to vary greatly depending on the writer, enabling him to fight beings such as Superman and withstand explosive blasts, the ability to survive unaided in space, a healing factor that heals great amounts of damage, a superhuman sense of smell which allows him to track objects between solar systems, and the ability to regrow an entire new Lobo from each drop of his own spilled blood. This last ability was removed by Vril Dox. However, Lobo was seen regenerating out of a pool of blood in 52 #20 and Lobo himself has supposedly died many times. He still retains his ban from both Heaven and Hell, and is thus immortal.

Despite his violent and loutish nature, Lobo has displayed a genius level intellect such as when he created a virulent plague of immense proportions, and its antidote, in about a week's time, and obliterated his entire species, with the very ironic and unfortunate exception of his 4th grade teacher, when he set it loose on Czarnia.

He, at times, uses high grade weaponry and explosives. His favorite weapon to use is a large chain wrapped around his right wrist with a large hook at the end of it.
-Superhuman strength, stamina, and durability
-Superhuman sense of smell
-Regenerative healing factor
- Immortality, Genius level intellect.

Ghostrider

The Ghost Rider is a human who can transform into a demonic motorcyclist with a flaming skull and supernatural powers. The motorcycles he rides can travel faster than conventional motorcycles and can perform such otherwise impossible feats as riding up a vertical surface or across the surface of water. The Danny Ketch/Noble Kale version of Ghost Rider was capable of traveling into the air while on the bike, but this power appeared only twice in the entirety of the character's run.

Johnny Blaze - When Blaze transforms, his motorcycle catches fire and he can create a cycle from pure hellfire. Hellfire is a supernatural flame which burns the soul of an individual as well as burn the flesh. He is also capable of projecting hellfire as a weapon. In Ghost Rider form, he displays supernatural strength and resilience. Blaze can perform supernatural stunts on his motorcycle. Later, Blaze developed Danny Ketch's powers in addition to his own, with control over the "Penance Stare" and the ability to manipulate an enchanted chain. He also gained new abilities, such as hellfire breath and the ability to spew chains from either his throat or chest. Finally, he gained the ability to travel between the incorporeal and material planes.
-Superhuman strength and durability,
-Ability to project regular and ethereal flame
-Ability to travel between dimensions and along any surface
-Magical chain,
-Flaming motorcycle
-"Penance stare
