Captain Marvel:

S : for the wisdom of Solomon.
As Captain Marvel, Billy has instant access to a vast amount of scholarly knowledge. The wisdom of Solomon also gives Marvel clairvoyance and provides him with counsel and advice in times of need.

H: for the strength of Hercules*
Dubbed "The World's Mightiest Mortal," Captain Marvel has incredible amounts of super strength, and is able to easily bend steel, punch through walls, and lift massive objects. Marvel's strength is enough that he has fought beings such as Superman or Wonder Woman to a standstill.

A:for the stamina of Atlas
Using Atlas' endurance, Captain Marvel can withstand and survive most types of extreme physical assaults. Additionally, he does not need to eat, sleep, or breathe and can survive unaided in space when in Captain Marvel form.

Z: for the power of Zeus Zeus' power,
besides fueling the magic thunderbolt that transforms Captain Marvel, also enhances Marvel's other physical and mental abilities, grants magic resistance against all magic spells and attacks, as well as allowing for interdimensional travel. Marvel can use the lightning bolt as a weapon by dodging it and allowing it to strike an opponent or target. The magical lightning has many uses, including creating apparatus, restoring damage done to Marvel, or acting as fuel for magical spells.

A :for the courage of Achilles
Like the wisdom, this aspect is primarily psychological, and gives Marvel superhuman amounts of inner strength on which to draw. In the recent Trials of Shazam! series, this quality has been officially changed to the one Achilles is famous for: His near absolute invulnerability.

M: for the speed of Mercury
By channeling Mercury's speed, Captain Marvel can fly and move at supersonic speeds, and, in space, at faster than light speeds. With Judd Winick's Trials of Shazam! series, Marvel has also gained the ability to wield magic and cast spells. These additional abilities are also attributes from the god Mercury.

Storm:

Storm is one of the most powerful mutants in the Marvel Universe, and has occasionally been referred to as one of the most powerful beings on earth. In Black Panther #21 (2006), writer Reginald Hudlin hinted Storm to be an Omega-level mutant, a fictional description for mutants of the ultimate power level. Prior, longtime X-Men scribe Chris Claremont hinted that Storm possesses this power level by comparing her to the world-devouring Phoenix. It is widely believed that Storm, much like Phoenix, will reach her ultimate potential.

Storm has the psionic ability to control all forms of weather. She can control wind, lightning, and generate all naturally occuring forms of precipitation. In addition, Storm can reduce or raise the temperature of her environment and can use winds to fly at high speeds. Storm is highly immune to the effects of all weather, most notably lightning and extreme heat and cold. Among the more unusual effects that she can manifest is the coalescence of toxic, atmospheric pollutants into acid rain or toxic fog.

Besides the atmosphere, Storm has additionally demonstrated the ability to control natural forces that include cosmic storms, ocean currents, and electromagnetic energy. On one occasion, Storm manipulated the solar wind to destroy a Sentinel. On another, Storm summoned the power of a galactic core to purge a Brood implant from her body.[2] On earth, Storm has used her power to manipulate ocean currents and tides. More recently, Storm has shown the ability to alter her visual perceptions so as to see the universe as multi-colored energy patterns, detecting the ebb and flow of energy behind weather, machines, and human nervous systems. During the Marvel event "Civil War", Storm created an electromagnetic pulse in the brain of Thor's clone. Storm's abilities are limited by her willpower and the strength of her body.[2]

Storm's mutant powers grant her emotional attunement to the weather and her surrounding environment. As a consequence, Storm often suppresses extreme feelings to prevent her emotional state from resulting in violent weather. She has also been shown to sense the dynamics of the natural world: Storm once felt a diseased and dying tree on the X-men mansion grounds, the gravitational exertion of the moon on the tides, as well as the incorrect motion of a hurricane in the Northern Hemisphere.[2]

Beyond weather control, Storm's ancestry provides Ororo with an affinity for 'white' magic; many of Storm's alternate timeline/universe forms possess considerable magical talent. Storm has been additionally portrayed as a skilled thief and a gifted hand-to-hand fighter, trained by Wolverine. In the past, Storm has defeated both Callisto and the Crimson Commando, both highly experienced fighters, in hand-to-hand combat. As part of her paraphernalia, Storm carries a set of lock-picks and her ancestral ruby, which allows inter-dimensional transportation with the help of her lightning.

Oh....it's ironic but Captain Marvel is actually a DC superhero....he's also commonly known as Shazam.

There is another Captain Marvel in the marvel comics...that has nothing to do with the DC one.

This is how he looks:

I'll change the name to "Shazam" to prevent anymore confusion

Although Captain Marvel is current;y "Shazam" in the comics, originally Shazam was Captian Marvel's mentor...i think.

Anyways, my vote goes to Shazam...he stood toe-to-toe with Superman..and just about whipped his ass.

Well, I say shazam. To fetustomper, I could be wrong but I think Superman has such a hard time with Shazam because Superman is susceptible to Magic attacks, one of his weaknesses. Storm is pretty powerful, but I think she'd still get pwned.

Kingjolly, I was waiting for you to use Storm in one of these rounds, but why'd you have to put her up against Shazam? He's too powerful. This is not a fair fight.

I think Shazam would win, but in extreme cases, Storm's powers can intensify enormously like when she summoned the power of a galactic core to purge a Brood implant from her body, so I'm not really sure who would win.

And MINION, I want Tyra Banks to play Storm. Don't you notice a resemblance?...

Storm has almost the exact same face as Tyra in this pic. Look at their identical teeth! It's uncanny.

Detailed explanation of powers/abilities

Deadpool

Deadpool has been artificially endowed with a superhuman regenerative healing factor by the Weapon X program. As Deadpool had cancer at the time of the gene therapy which endowed him with these abilities, it has been suppressed by the "healing factor", which instead perpetually regenerates every cell in Deadpool's body, continually healing him to keep the cancer at bay and therefore further mangling his already cancer-ravaged appearance. This causes his body to be in a constant state of flux and regeneration - removal of his powers would cause him a cancer relapse, as he himself is aware. His brain cells are similarly affected, rendering him immune to psychics such as Professor X and Emma Frost. A less welcome side effect comes in the form of apparent insanity. This constant flux may or may not what causes him to have his witty banter and ADD-type personality - "that's just the way I am, bitch!", as Deadpool once put it, although he also has cited it as the reason in the past - nevertheless, he is completely unpredictable in personality, and this trait has even extended itself to his physical coordination when he so desires. Cable once stated, going by his Weapon X files, that his cognitive functions would never be normal as long as the regeneration was in his system and later used the last vestiges of his telepathic ability to correct these damaged areas of Deadpool's brain, which allowed him fuller access to his long and short-term memories.

The healing factor enables him to regenerate damaged or destroyed tissue with much greater speed and efficiency than an ordinary human. He can regenerate whole organs and even severed limbs. In at least one instance, Deadpool, after breaking nearly every bone in his body, had himself strapped to a rack so his bones set properly. It is unknown if this was necessary for his healing factor to work or simply accelerated his healing. As a byproduct of his unique physiology, he possesses superhuman strength, stamina, agility and reflexes. Additionally, Deadpool's healing factor is proportional to the amount of injury he receives. An excellent example of this is in Issue 30 of the Cable and Deadpool series. In one part of the battle with the Great Lakes Avengers, he sets off one of his own grenades, blowing a large hole in his abdomen, He regenerated this in relatively little time. Conversely, during the same fight, Squirrel Girl beat him into submission by clawing him furiously, apparently not in enough severity to cause his healing factor to respond as powerfully and he succumbed to his wounds and was captured.

Deadpool was cursed for a short time by Loki, who had claimed to be his father; the curse made him look like "Thom Cruz" (a clear parody of Tom Cruise), rendered his face totally invulnerable, and his life to "fall to ruin." The curse was only to be removed when Deadpool reconciled with his father, who he met in a bar without ever realizing who it was (many believe this man to be Loki in disguise). This seems to contradict an issue of Cable & Deadpool when a conversation between Cable and Deadpool about their pasts and parents, Deadpool's father is shown dying when he was a teenager, however when questioned on the truth of the story by Cable, Deadpool responds, "I'll tell you the truth when you tell me." As Cable's deprogramming of Wade cleared his mind, he can remember things much more clearly. One of the facts he recalls is his father dying when he was a younger age.

Aside from his physical advantages, Deadpool is a superb assassin and mercenary. He is a master of multiple forms of armed and unarmed combat. He favors bladed weapons as his primary means of dispatching his enemies as he feels it is more enjoyable to meet opponents in single combat, but if he is having a bad day or in a hurry, he will just shoot them. He typically carries a small arsenal of both experimental hi-tech and conventional firearms and bladed weapons and seems to have the occasional ability to produce previously unsen weapons from thin air - a talent that was only fully referenced once in a Heroes for Hire story where Deadpool returned Misty Knight and Colleen Wing's various weapons to them through mystery concealment (when asked how, he replied "It involves an awful lot of lubricant"). Deadpool has excellent, believed by many to be perfect, aim (though not with any given object, like Bullseye), which was temporarily destroyed by the Black Swan. He owns a personal teleportation device, usually located on his belt. This device, created by Weasel, is used to teleport him out of, and occasionally into, trouble and has been prone to numerous malfunctions over the years. He now shares Cable's "bodyslide" transporting technology, with the limitation that both Cable and Deadpool teleport at the same time. Early in his original ongoing comic, he also possessed an image inducer built by Weasel, which allowed him to manifest holographic disguises in order to go undercover, conceal his bizarre appearance or just plain goof off (on one notable occasion, while trapped several years in the past, he used the image inducer to masquerade as Spider-Man's alter-ego, Peter Parker.)

Deadpool has actually met and established a relationship with the personification of Death in the Marvel universe and as a result has been cursed by T-Ray, at the behest of Thanos, to be unable to die. This is a plot point that may or may not be advocated by some writers. However, Deadpool himself needed to seek outside assistance about the right method to kill himself, so Deadpool's status as immortal is unclear at this time.

Deadpool's speech and thought balloons and captions are usually colored yellow, to represent his distinctive voice (although nobody knows exactly what is distinctive about his voice, only that it sounds different). Cable has described his voice as having a "gravelly, Demi Moore" quality. Blind Al has also stated that Deadpool's voice sounds like a distinct mixture of "gasoline and gravel." In his earliest appearances, his speech balloons were normal balloons with red borders (soon changed to yellow borders); in later appearances, the interior would be colored yellow and the text would be written in a slightly mangled font. In his recent appearances in Marvel video games, Deadpool has a rather high-pitched, spaced-out voice (like he is drunk) speaking in a fast cadence and spouting nonsensical sentiments, maintaining his aforementioned "cerebral flux", but lacked any sort of gravelly or raspy quality to it.

A master martial artist, he is known to have beaten Wolverine on at least one occasion, though Wolverine did not have his healing factor at the time, and has at least stalemated him on various others. He is also shown to have defeated Taskmaster with both his hands and feet manacled, and Taskmaster admitting to him openly that Deadpool was an excellent and quite possibly better combatant - during their first meeting, he privately described Deadpool's fighting style as "amazing". He once held his own in combat with Silver Sable and Daredevil simultaneously and has also fought relatively evenly with Erik Killmonger - the match of the Black Panther (comics) - Iron Fist (twice) and two different rosters of Avengers. The X-Man Gambit once paid him off rather than risk battling him, admitting that fighting Deadpool in his weakened state was tantamount to suicide. However, despite his amazing fighting ability, he was still beaten, by Squirrel Girl in an attempt to apprehend the Great Lakes Champions, though Squirrel Girl has shown an uncanny ability to defeat foes out of her league, including Thanos and Doctor Doom (the former confirmed by Uatu the Watcher to be the real one). It's also worth noting that Deadpool had just disabled the rest of the GLC with a hand grenade that he was holding against his belly, and was still weakened and regenerating when Squirrel Girl arrived.

Deathstroke

Deathstroke possesses various superhuman powers. He also possesses the strength of ten men, heightened speed, agility, stamina and reflexes. He has the capacity to use up to 90% percent of his brain making him a combat skills and tactical genius (written at a time when it was conjectured that humans only used 10% of their capacity), making him adept at turning opponents' own abilities against them, stemming from his years in the military and combat with various heroes. He is also a highly formidable opponent in physical combat.

Deathstroke also possesses a regenerative factor in his blood that enables him to heal from physical injury much faster than a normal person. This has also made him effectively immortal, enabling him to recover from what would otherwise be fatal injuries.

Deathstroke is skilled in the use of many weapons ranging from guns, rifles and swords, which are usually among his current weapons of choice. His signature weapon is a power staff that fires lethal and non-lethal energy blasts from both ends. The staff can also be used to strike using energy at each end.

His bodyarmor is composed of a mesh-woven, kevlar, chainlink mail, capable of stopping small arms fire.
