Rock. I've never liked rap, and I hate the mainstream rap/hip hop of today. And I don't like olc school rap or freestyle rap, but I do respect those who do. It takes a lot of talent to do freestyle rapping and even if I don't like it I still respect the rapper. And I think everyone here needs to learn how too respect other opinions and that you should know what you're talking about before opening voicing your opinion. For example one thing that made me really mad was the guy who said that metal is white guys jumping around screaming. He obviously doesn't know what he's talking about. Let the guy listen to some Sonata Arctica, Evergrey or X Japan and I'm sure he'll change his mind.

OK. I have figured out a solution to this ongoing STUPID SHIT that is going on. People, just say whether you like rap or rock and why you like THAT GENRE. The flaming begins when you bash another genre and someone who likes that genre takes offense to it and they defend themselves towards you. That way, people can say why they like that genre and no one will take offense to it. That means....no flames...no skulls. People need to grow up. There are too many lil' kids that just do stupid things that they KNOW will offend somebody and they like it. I know because sometimes I do it with my parents just to get in an arguement when I'm mad with them (but thats just with my parents). So just say what you like, and why you like it. Don't say things about the other genre that you know the rising flames will start. That goes for both rap and rock "likers".

I prefer hip hop than rock,because it's hard to be shaking your head hold time and screaming like a fool.I'm not saying all rock music are like that but there are some rock music you don't even here what the person is saying,old school rap on the other hand tells you about struggles in life,how to deal with stress and stuff like.Rap these days i don't listen to it,it's talks about pimping and branding only and it make these young kids feel they are gangsters by wearing two shirts and there hot backwards.I usually dress normal wether some kid like it or not,one day a group of kid dressing like bad boys approach me telling me I looked like a wimp and I would always be foolish.They start pushing on me,I got in a fight with the leader of the group and when I was finish with he was bleeding very badly.I had to call the ambulance for him because his friends ran away,he then learn being or pretending too be bad doesn't make you a bad boy and nothing is good in being bad,so my last comment is these days both rap and rock music sucks wether you like it or not that's my opinion.

Not only is that a shame to ever even try to think that you're like Angus, Malcom, and Brian, but to be rappers that do thatt!? You see what I'm proving? Those rappers must look up to rockers, if they put their name in the style of that great band *AC/DC*, and when they have to change their syle of letters to in a way "look up to" another band, guess who's "OWNING" now? Another thing, new stuff sucks period, and I don't understand how you can like linkin park, if you're an old school type of guy?
