I hope it's released for Vita at some point. I don't feel like buying a 3DS.

I've actually had a major blast with my 3DS. Though, granted, I got Ambassador status, so I've been swimming in 20 classic games, and the free download of Zelda: Four Swords.
Couple that with Ocarina of Time 3D, Star Fox, Super Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart, Resident Evil Revelations, Kid Icarus Uprising, and some absolutely mind-blowing eShop games like Mighty Force Switch, Cave Story 3D, and Pushmo, and the 3DS has become the most enjoyable portable system I've ever owned.
From my hands-on demo of Resident Evil Revelations, I'd even say it's worth buying the system just for that game. It looks PHENOMENAL in 3D, and I think, even if it was ported to the Vita, the 3D really sells the atmosphere, and the 3DS's gyroscope shooting controls are also extremely intuitive.

I heard the podcast, the only realy complaint about RE:R is the AI and some lame story elements.
cvxfreak is oldschool and he has been tweeting the whole way. Nothing but good.
I am hearing Capcom also dropped Paul Mercier as the voice of Leon. Sounds the same to me... hmm. False?

i checked out gamespot and they rate it 8.5 for revlations. kept hearing the best part of the game is the ship.
do you play the game as both characters. or only one until you beat the game to play as the other character. kinda like re4 were you had to beat the game with loen in order to play as ada wong.

My understanding, and I could be wrong, is that you play the "main" mission as Jill Valentine (and her AI partner Parker), and then when her chapter ends, you either get a mission with Chris (and his AI partner Jessica) or one with Keith (and his AI partner Quint), and then it's back to Jill again.
There is a bonus mode called Raid Mode (basically "The Mercenaries") with a large cast of playable characters: Jill Valentine, Chris Redfield, Parker Luciani, Jessica Sherawat, Raymond Vester, Morgan Lansdale, Keith Lumley, Quint Cetcham, Clive R. O'Brian, Rachel, Veltro Spokesman. I have no idea who half these characters are, but they're all selectable in the multiplayer mode.

looks cool, I've heard that they have a 600 person dev team working on the game.. This game is probably gonna be huge.
0
over 600 "involved with the game" was the quote. the core development team in Japan is about 150.

Sorry for double post. Better than making a new thread.
Here is my new article about RE6 and the importance of remembering the past. Please have a read and let me know what you think.

I don't want to be the bearer of bad news but it seems Slant Sucks has struck again with Operation Racoon City...IGN just wrote a rather scathing multiplayer preview and it doesn't look good. I'd link it but I'm typing from my phone. I thought Slant Six would have gotten better after SOCOM Confrontation but they haven't...they still suck apparently. If IGN says you're bad then you know you're royally fucked up.

I had read that article. With all do respect, I'd rather hard criticism than blind following.
Rich is a level-headed mind and speaks the truth. Perhaps he could have encouraged the classic elements that RE fans are going to be re-experienceing with the plot. Otherwise, great call.
Gameplay isn't at all worrying me here. Worst case scenario: this direction does not do well with the masses and we are more likely to see the classic elements we want.
Either way, nothing is going to hold me back from enjoying RE:ORC.
Revelations is amazing, by the way. Currently on Hell difficulty. Already completed the game without using a single herb to take care of the hardest achievement/mission.
Revelations is easily the best RE game since CVX. Blows RE4 and RE5 away. My favourite aspect? Capcom thought ahead. Used plot devices and set up for the future. Very happy with this game. If the circle pad was a touch better, It would be flawless for experience. I hope this gets a console port. It definitely deserves it.
A word to the fans:
Do not be swayed or hit fanboy rages over every little claimed detail. 90% of all these claimed facts and magazine facts are actually assumptions or speculation. There is only one source that remains 100% with all their predictions, and that is IGN and whoever they are connected to. I personally cannot wait until this Sherry vs Ashley bullshit is over. It looks to be, but we are just awaiting official confirmation.
I am going to PAX East again, this year. Hopefully Capcom will have something for us.
Another note on RE:ORC. Capcom was offering a pre-order bonus through their website. Only available to the first 1000. A replica of a "welcome to raccoon city, home of umbrella" street sign. About 18" in width. Made of some sort of metal. They are likely gone by now. Thankfully, I snagged one before it was.
I will continue to update you guys with anything. Check IGN's latest interview for information on Capcom really striving for the "ultimate horror experience".

Well, the only thing I really have to say is that the game is being made by Slant Six...the creators of arguably the worst SOCOM ever made (SOCOM 4 ranks high as well). It had an intolerable amount of bugs, glitches, and other random gameplay issues that made the game almost unplayable. A lot of the issues complained about in that preview were issues many had with Confrontation. Character movement (getting stuck on objects, not being able to move or do things you should be able to, etc.) was a gigantic problem in Confrontation.
I knew the second I heard Slant Six was making this game there was going to be issues. It boggles my mind still that Capcom would even let these people touch the RE franchise after what they did with SOCOM. IGN rarely writes previews for games that only talk about the problems the game has...and they did it for both the campaign and multiplayer. As a self described RE fanboy I can say that I will only touch this game when I can get it used for as little money as I can. Probably will just skip this game all together.
Freaking dangit dude...Slant Six? Come on Capcom...
EDIT: Holy cow I just watched some gameplay videos I honestly feel like vomiting. It looks horrid.

...seriously I think I just threw up in my mouth.

Every Socom to date is riddled with glitches and exploits. Including the best, Socom2. I'm not trying to defend horrible work. Trust me, I agree with you to a point. I am just trying to remain optimistic and also trying to keep hope.
In my honest opinion, Confrontation was better than any Socom since S2. Nowehre near S1-2 but still blew 3,CA, and 4 out of the water.
I guess we'll have to wait and see. I value having you in here to play devils advocate though. My inner fan boy is clearly going to be biased and try and look for the good. We also need to see the bad. So thanks, man. haha
With all due criticism, there is a possibility that these were taken from an earlier build. I doubt it.

I just really hate Slant Six haha. It could have been any developer but Capcom picked them? I hope that the previews are wrong and that the finished product doesn't look like the videos but man...I don't think they are. I mean when I saw characters taking shotgun blasts at point blank range my face hit my desk.

According to IGN the president isn't Ashley's father. He is actually the president after Ashley's dad.

It seems the info checks out.
-2013, after RE5. Making Chris approx 40 years old and Leon approx 36.
-President Adam Benford. NOT Ashley's father. Was the guy form the RE3 epilogue who spoke to Leon and hired him into the US gov. Also talked of Sherry in darkside chronicles. Giving it a little more sense that both he and Sherry may appear in the same game.
I'll do my best to stay ontop of it.

Rich over at IGN (the man with the sources) is now talking in pretty decisive confidence that the Blonde is Sherry.
he hasn't been wrong yet. So case closed, I guess.

There is a new Resident Evil 6 story trailer. I would link it if I could, but I can't. The tralier shows quite a bit of stuff. It also confirms it IS Sherry. EDIT: I forgot to mention, the trailer also shows the game's release to be on October 2nd. A month earlier then previously scheduled.
