All of those are certainly iconic.

But my favourites are Xianghua, Amy, Talim and Tira.

This is where I beg to disagree.

I highly doubt Namco-Bandai would allow Project Soul to risk the status (and revenue) of such a prestigious fighting game series by creating an all new cast of characters, thus terminating the current.

Now, if they were release a large amount of new characters, while advancing only the most popular of new characters , then that, I think, would be more tolerable and probably more accepted.

Still, I don't see the point of Project Soul doing yet another reboot.

If it has an exceptional create-a-fighter system, I'll definitely look into that. The most fun I had with SCIII was that mode and fighting my friend when we picked "random creation". I didn't like the SCIV creator system that much.

I absolutely love playing as Tira. I'd like her to be in this new game, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

All I can say, nightmare better be inthere, one of the most badass characters in the game.

I really don't see them fucking around with the roster too much. Because they did it in Soul Calibur (Arcade) Soul Calibur 2 (Dropped: Rock, Hwang, Lizardman, Sophitia and Seong Mina in the arcade version before bringing them back either as themselves or as Berserker and Assassin) Brought pretty much everyone back in SC3 and 4 continued on even though it looks like Rock and Amy were last minute additions.

I had so much fun with that Create-a-Character, definitely the mode I spent the most time on. If they're gonna make it as awesome as they're saying, it's already a must-buy for me.

Admittedly, only Soul Calibur I ever played was 4. So I haven't really grown attached to any characters. I just want the cast to be diverse and strong.
