Indeed. Tony Chu is a MMA since 16 years, and Sam Looc has studied san Shou for 10 years. Edit: forgot to say, Tony is the one all in black, and Sam is the other one( but that's obvious, right

Hey, i've been thinking, (no, really!
)
and i've come up with a theory/point of view about fluidity.
My "theory" is that you can only do 2 things when flowing from one move to another. Go with, or against your inertia(momentum).
Going with:
Say you stand with right leg forward. Now do a roundhouse kick with you rear(left)leg. You now have inertia, because of your leg moving rightwards.Going with would be to:
a) Continue into a spinning hook kick with the right leg.
b)Continue into a left hook punch.
c) Continue into a 540° jump spin kick with your left leg.
Going against your inertia would be to:
Say you stand with left leg forward. Do a left hook kick. You'll now have inertia, or momentum going leftwards. Going against momentum would be to:
a) Come back with a left roundhouse
b) Come back with a right spinning hook kick.
c) Come back with a right backhand punch.
Another, maybe simpler example would be after a simple front kick.
Going with: Since the momentum is forwards/upwards, going with could be a backflip, or just another front kick.
Going against: Assuming still that momentum is going forwards/upwards, going against could be an axe kick, wich is going the exact opposite way,downwards/backwards.
Anyway, it was just a theory i had, and i wanted to see what you people had to say about it, to invalidate/consolidate, or add to it.
That was all for now.
EDIT: And please, i'm desperate, does anyone know of a good place to find Martial Art Wallpapers/desktops? I've done like 7 searches already...

What you have to remember about fluidity is, that when a "roundhouse" type strike, for example a kick (or an elbow ect, but i'll use the kick as an example) hits something, the leg that did the kicking is going to be almost rebounded back in the opposite direction. So if you throw a roundhouse kick with your left foot (back foot), it's going to end up naturally swinging back to the left when it hits the opponent, unless you're incredibly powerful, or have superb control, and even then i'd say it would be very difficult to do.
That sort of fluidity is good on paper but at the end of the day, my opinion is that it's impractical.
Opposing ones inertia would seem more fluid to me because after that rear left roundhouse, your body is moving back to the left from the recoil of the blow. It would be a lot easier to use that momentum to your advantage, and throw say, a right hook, or a left backhand.
I'a kung fu maniac my style is chinese boxing (mix of different techniques of kung fu)in it there's Chin-na, tai-chi, weapons, it's a very brutal style, I tried karate but in my eyes if someone needs to protect himself he should not hold back, and a martial arts should not only be physical but spiritual, hearth, body and soul have to work as one and a good martial art put the has to use them and train them. But then again it's my opinion maybe I'm nothing but a fool.

Ok, injury tale time:
Last week at BJJ training, we finished up the night with 5 rounds of freestyle wrestling.
In the second round, I went up against another guy who, although small, had been doing it for ages and was mad strong. Anyway, he tried to get me in a submission hold where my right arm was behind my head. He managed to get it, and my right elbow was almost touching my left ear. It didn't hurt, nor feel uncomfortable, hence I didn't submit. Anyway, we ended up in a tie.
I sat out the next round, and wrestled another guy, who I knew was a newbie. Anyway, from nowhere he manages to pull a very quick arm bar on me, and catches me completely offguard. I submit, and think no more of it, other than the embarrasment of getting beaten by a n00b.
Anyway I get home, go to open my bedroom door, and it sent pains right up my shoulder. Thinking no more of it, I loosen it a bit, and go to have a shower. Try to open the shower door, and couldn't. I had NO POWER at all in my arm.
A few days pass, and the shoulder is stronger, although still very tender, so I made an appointment to go see the chiropractor (I see chiros before I see GP's as I have a few back problems). After some testing, he tells me not only is my shoulder blade out of place, but the muscles are also out of place and thus the nerves aren't working properly.
He adjusts my back and shoulder (VERY painful), and tells me to lay off training for this week, and he'll re-assess me next week. Currently, I can't train until I see him again, and if the muscles are doing what they are supposed to do, then I can begin light training again, and within 3 weeks I'll be right. At the moment, it is still pretty tender.
I was laying on the ground last night, totally forget about my shoulder, go to sit up off the shoulder, and there is that pain again - not just up the arm, but around the shoulder, and down the spine. BUGGER.
Moral: Although it may not hurt when it happens, remember that you can still get damaged. Someone my size, can suffer around 2 to 3 broken ribs and still keep going in a fight, with only minor pain. Let alone a twisted shoulder. Just be careful, and look after yourselves, especially if someone forces your body to do something it's not supposed to do.

do you want Legit or the stuff that would get your ass kick by the other Legit real deal Ninjutsu practictor?
If you say the second one there is a Ashida Kim Ninjer Camp.
If you want the Legit one go to www.ninjutsu.com
Any x-kan(any system that has ties to Bunjikan Ninjutsu/budo taijutsu) are very much legit and street proven martial arts.
Dux Ryu Ninjutsu is a good self defense but I do know there is illegit martial art because their master Frank Dux is a well known Fraud in the Ninjutsu community and Stick to any of the x-kan systems and you will have a good street proven martial art that is legitmate and practical.

Welp, you're very much right with your theory me thinks. A typical me-ish example would be something like this:
Flowing with - Left backhand, right cross, left hook kick kick, right tornado spinkick.
Flowing against - Right roundhouse, right crescent kick, right cross, left kidney punch.
Both ways have their advantages and disadvantages. Flowing with moves, if fighting somebody who understands weight placement and what not, you're running the risk of being grounded by little more than a touch. Example - If somebody were to throw a right hook kick and I swayed out of the way, then they threw a left roundhouse using their momentum and I ducked, I could quite easily give them a little push with 1 hand and send them straight into the ground (pushing them towards where their weight is going). No strength is involved, you simply manipulate their movement to suit your goal of ending the fight quickly. And obviously getting somebody on the ground usually gives you the chance to put in a few "Stay down arsehole!" boots.
Flowing against on the other hand, while your balance is typically better, it also tends to be slightly slower. Most MA-ist's would be able to throw a right hook kick into a left roundhouse much faster than they could throw a right hook kick into a left hook kick. The plus side is that (atleast I think) it's harder to read. If you throw a right cross and connect with somebodies cheek (say you missed their jaw), they probably wont expect to immediately cop a right crescent kick to their jaw on their right side.
Well, that's my $0.02 for the moment
Side note - I started Go Kan Ryu Karate just this week, it's great to be back in a Dojo again. I'm killing it so far, my Sensei (who's name is Igor, how odd is that?) told me he has never had somebody on their first night be straight away ready for a grading untill I popped up. All I had to do was learn 1 measly first belt Kata, and it isn't as if I needed to be taught how to kick or punch or anything
I have my grading next Sunday I think... Maybe the Sunday after, I have the date written down somewhere.

*nods* Indeed.
Igor is a realy nice bloke, good martial artist too from what I've seen. I've looked at countless Karate classes since I stopped Zen Do Kai and haven't found one worth while untill just now. Igor (my Sensei) grew up around here, went to the same school I did (he's about 7-8 years older than me), and much like myself and most of the people around here he has been in fights before.
It took the better part of 5-6 years, but I've found a teacher worth learning off again and a good dojo
And off the subject - How old are you dude? Just wondering since you called me a young one

Humm what would be a good cross training method that would be a good compliment to the martial arts?
btw what would be two or more martial arts that compliment each other?
with my current knowledge and fighting styles(white Tiger Kung fu, TkD , and Tai Chi), Ninjutsu would finish off my martial arts skills.
