Sorry for double post, but i was wondering exactly how amusing it is for drunks to watch acrobatics...
Also wondering, for any of you, what is exactly the WORST exhibition of martial arts you ever saw in a movie?
Mine was karate kid. God i wanted to kill Ralph Machio, or whatever his name was.

I hate watching Jean Claude Van Damn I Can't Fight For Shit, I really do. He has played the role of a Muay Thai kickboxer quite a few times, and always completely fucks it up. What kind of Muay Thai kickboxer leaves their gaurd down and kicks like a freaking balerina? A Muay Thai kickboxer in a movie who's played by Jean Claude, of course.

Anyone else got something to say regarding Van Damme's seizures and kickboxing skills?
GD, it's funny you should have changed to a Bruce Lee avatar ( and a good one at that.) recently, cause i just today recieved via mail, from my trusty mother, a copy of Bruce Lee's best seller, The Tao of Jeet Kune Do. I've only started to read it, and i'm already amazed. If anyone on the site, or anyone reading this in general, hesitate wether or not to buy it, the answer is yes. Definitly.
While i'm at it, i'm gonna ask, what are those kanji in your post, GD?
Je suis le loup cyborg.

at least Van Damne is better than Frank Dux and Ashida Kim combine.
Also Van Damne knows he is a actor. Ashida Kim and Frank Dux well lets say I dont know if they really think they are pretending or not.
I do think Ashida and Dux dont know that they are fake. Because They had lied so much they believe their own lies.

well he is everything that Ashida Kim is also but he didnt change his name into a asian one.
Btw Count Dante Ashida Kim and Frank Dux are the running jokes of the martial arts world.
Count Dante that started the Black Dragon Fighting Society which Christoper Hunter was supposed to belong too.
Btw Ashida kim is the nickname for Chris Hunter.
BloodSports the movie starring Van Damne was about Frank Dux. But those events in the story had been proven false. Van Damne and Frank Dux had a falling out because Van Damne had seen the light about Frank Dux and sued him for being a fraud in the martial arts. Frank Dux claimed he was training by a ninja master called tanakada. It is known that there was no ninja master that was in Frank Dux's hometown during his childhood and his ninja master dead or alive was in America during that time. He did claim that he was in Vietam War but he was in the army only afterward and he was a subpar solider to say the least. Also he did claim he did work for the CIA but there is no records classifield or not that it was stated he was working for them. Btw every member of the CIA has at least one public record stating they were a member of the CIA. Also he had claim that the CIA had destroyed his record. IF Frank Dux had any normal Relationship with the Cia, they would have classifield his records and acknowledge him as a former member. There is no proof of his supposed life as a CIA agent.
Ashida Kim thinks he is a Jedi Master and Ninja Master. Also He does think he is a Celetisal Master and His order of the Polar Star is a wacked Out relgion if not a cult.
Count Dante aka John Keehan is another infamous fraud that is a good fighter but loves to make trouble. He is known for getting himself into fight and one of those fights got his friend killed. Well His past like Frank Dux is very unbelieveable and both of their systems are very street oriented martial arts. Competing in Death Matches in China while touring Asia as a hairdresser. Although his system of fighting is good but his fights are too over the top to be believed by any normal person. Currently he is dead and William Aguilar 3rd is the head of the Black Dragon Fighting Society. Currenty the Black Dragon Ninja Society lead by Ashida Kim is at odds with the Black Dragon Fighting Society led by Willian Aguiliar.
Ashida Kim: A cult Master
Frank Dux: A fraud master
Count Dante: A guy who lives in dreamland but a good fighter master.

Haha, I love frauds, they make me laugh. If you're going to make up bullshit about yourself, the first rule is you atleast make it somewhat believable
It's really pretty pathetic. Any one of these people could've used up all their effort on learning martial arts rather than lying about it, they might've actually got to the level they pretend they're at.

A Q for you all -
How many of you take anatomy into consideration when fighting?
I believe one of the most effective ways to fight is to be aware of certain weaknesses. Collar bones for example are extremely easy to break, from memory it only takes about 15 lbs of pressure to snap one and it's very disabling and will take down your typical idiot. There's knees, if somebody has their leg fully locked (perfectly straight) it doesn't take much of a kick to cause serious damage or even a break if you know where to strike (slightly above the knee cap is your best bet). The sternum is another good one obviously, if you get your aim right 1 good punch will level mostly anybody. Etc, etc.
If you do, give a few examples. Somebody might learn something new
Edit - The reason I ask... From my experience, alot of people aren't sure of where to hit to get their desired result. I've had people punch me in all sorts of useless places that don't do much good. I've been punched in the eye, if they had've punched me in the nose instead they atleast would've dazed me and messed with my vision for a second. I've had people punch me in the abs, where they could've punched just a little higher and winded me with a sternum punch. I've even been punched in the forhead which hurt the guys hand way more than it hurt my head, I shit you not. You get the point...

I do.
In Shotokan, the first thing we are taught is to keep our front leg bent. Whereas in Muay Thai, we're told to have only the smallest bend in them, I disagree with that and have a half-way Shotokan stance.
In BJJ a few weeks ago we did some training where you can take someone down with the smallest amount of pressure on the back of the leg.
I'm also going to be adding Jujutsu to my repetoire this semester as well - things have transpired that I can no longer make one of my Shotokan sessions (we have two a week) because of class. So, instead of training for 2 hours a week less, I will go to Jujutsu for 2 hours on weekend - still keeps me fit and my mind active.
So I can fight standing up, take people down and fight them on the ground.
Pretty good, no?

Forevergrey Wrote: A Q for you all - How many of you take anatomy into consideration when fighting? |
I haven't been in a decent fight since i was like 10, and i don't practice any particular martial art. However in the last couple of years (after reading up about various martial arts, martial philosophy's and whatnot. I'm more of a "martial poser" than a martial artist heh, but that's mainly due to the shortage of schools and trainers around these parts), whenever a situation gets a bit heated and it looks as if i'm going to have to fight somebody, anatomical weakness is the first thing i try to identify.
Eyes, throat, neck, groin, ribs, knees, sternum (though that one can be tricky) are some places i quickley sum up in case i need to throw a kick or other strike (when i do hit people, which isn't very often at all, i usually opt for a fingertip strike, as i find it's the most effective, espeacially considering i'm pretty much a skinny little bitch with no power...it's fun to watch people 5 times stronger than you gasp for air because you stuck them under the sternum with a single finger
Somebody actually punched your forehead? Haha, that must've been hilarious to watch.

Forevergrey, being punched in the forehead must be the most ridiculous thing ever.
For some unknown reason, i find that hitting the ears, that's right, the ears, hurts quite a bit. There is the obvious option of hitting/kicking in the balls, and under the arms, or at the lowest rib is also quite nice. Kind of hard to reach, but hurtful nontheless, is the vertebrae between the shoulderblades.
And i bet none of you ever thought of that, but shoving both your index finger and middle finger into your opponents nose, a good way up, is a VERY good way to keep him/her at bay. My uncle taught me that, he had to do it once to hold down a maniac until the cops arrived, so he shoved his fingers up the guys nose, and put him down. Gross, but effective.
And i gather you can think of other places to shove a finger in if you get in trouble...gross
And btw, thanks for the info, Deathscepter.

A simple flick of the wrist can temporarily blind someone too, and leave them with little to no permanent damage. The trick is to stick your index, middle and ringfinger out and tense them up, yet bent.
From there, the opponent is yours.
From there, the opponent is yours.

Can't wait to know, frauds amuse me.
I'm sorry Bajar, i did'nt quite understand what you meant. could you elaborate.
Well, if we are to make a list, i'll start.
*Groin.(cheap, but classic
*Solar Plexus (where the ribcage splits, right in the middle of the chest.)
*Throat (can be deadly, but so can most things.)
*Eyes ( i REALLY hope you don't need an explanation.
*Ears ( for some reason it hurts like hell.)
*Nose (either punch or shove fingers, both work
*Knees (because, well you stand on them!!!!
That's all i can think of for now... What about pressure points? Know any? Between the knuckles is one i know. Right on top of the foot is another. You?
Later people!

well Jim Lacy claimed he gotten his grandmastership from that style of White Tiger within 10 years.
A Mastership will take a good 10 years if you are talanted.
So his claim to be a grandmaster is false if you have any understanding of the Martial arts.
