Well, to be honest, there was already an official DBZ thread in the past.

Sa'll good though. But anyway, i'm a HUGE fan of the DBZ series. I absolutely love the series, movies, games, etc.

I have some DBZ cards but I never really got into it or Anime for that matter.I like Cowboy Bebop though.

I hugely got into DBZ cards because me and two other friends were that bored in the most boring little town in the world, Yuma, Arizona. We loved the show and had played Pokemon for a while until we decided that Pokemon is another language for faggot. Then we got into DBZ cards and liked it. I have about 500 cards now and I'm trying to sell them desperately. Got out of it about 3 years ago.

The most boring little town in the world has to be Pamplico in South Carolina.I can't stand it there.Everone that lives there is either about to die or just talking about the church all day.

Dbz is the best vegeta rules

DBZ just got a bit too repetitive, and it took forever to go nowhere. Only a few characters actually developed over the years, while the majority of them stayed the same.

I prefer Dragonball for the sheer adventure. The entire concept of the DBs has been thrown away in DBZ, and all they were really used for was to resurrect fighters to fight for another 40 episode battle. The Freeza battle was where I drew the line - too much nothing going on. I can do without 20 minutes of trash-talking in each episode.

I miss that sense of wonder among the characters, settings, adventures, etc., in the original Dragonball. It essentially dwindled into fight after fight after fight. DBZ became the story of "now that we've defeated this fighter, let's train, for a more powerful one is on his way". Rinse, repeat...

The best DBZ episode was Goku and Piccolo's adventures in driving school. For an instance, I was reminded of why I liked DB in the 1st place...

Ok the furiza sage did take forever to go no where once Goku went Super Saiya-jin. I did like the development of Vegeta as a character going from completely evil to an ally to good only by circumstance, and then totally good, but with a rude attitude. Piccolo did this quicker during the Saiya-jin Saga, but developed because of Son gohan's friendship. The training and becoming more powerful was during the whole trunks-Cell thing, because thats all they could do to win. The Buu saga got on my nerves in some spots, but Vegeta fully developed in a good character during this. I think Piccolo totally got shafted in terms of being passed up by the Saiya-jins, but it was bad ass when he messed up Babidi.
GT pissed me off in many ways. Tried to recapture Dragonball's comidic aspect, but wasn't that great and turning Goku into a child for a while would of been fine, but it was the entire series. How did Son Gohan go from being more powerful than SSJ3 Son Goku to being weaker than Vegeta and able to go SSJ1/2... unexplained. And I think as serious as Vegeta is about becoming more powerful than everyone else he would of reached SSJ3 in TWENTY YEARS!!... I liked they SSJ4 form and it made sense, unlike most of the plot points in the Baby saga... later

Just keep in mind that Toriyama only contributed character designs for GT...he didn't do the story.

I used to be into DBZ cause Piccolo was cool as shit when he mentored Gohan. The guy sacrificed himself so many time and never got any stronger and that pissed me off!!! However, since then he's been watered down dramatically I really can't get into it nowadays.

Yeah I know that Toriyama only put in character designs, but I thought that Toei would have enough sense to address some serious flaws in the storyline. But now Funimation is busy butchering GT with its rap intro and whatnot. Well at least the DVDs have the Japanese versions in there with the original music and all, but there should be more than three-four episodes on the DVDs I think(only one has five the etended Trunks Prelude to Terror with the Zwarriors prepare on it/has the Piccolo and Goku driving school episode on it). But I could complain about the english version of DBZ/DBGT all day.. later

Favorite: Goku, biggest and most badass of all, even though he's not that bright, he's the main reason i love the series.

I really liked Gohan (when he was aroung my age, 13). He was a straight badass in the Cell Games

ALL time favorite has to bs SSJ4 Gogeta he is LETHAL and Pikkon both of them are amazing and are a big challenge. COOLER is also awsome.
