One thing about Berserk though: watch it for the story, the medieval setting is high fantasy with the obligatory bullshit stuff. And sadly the protagonist suffers from Cloud-Sephirothic Huge Fucking Sword Syndrome which kinda kills it, but fun nonetheless.

The android saga was suprisingly starting off good, untill fucking cell degenerated into world destroyer madass. The only good thing about the Cell saga thanks to this was that I laughed my ass off when Krillin got pussy...

Anyway, in terms of character devleopment and awesome fight scenes i would suggest One Piece, also currently my favourite Anime. It takes a while for it to get really going (some say the Don Krieg saga, others say the Arlong saga) but once you get into the swing of watching it; it's hard to stop. It holds a few cliches (maybe a good more than a few) but it handles it in a good way and isn't afraid to step out the realm abit and this is my appeal to the series.

Also they make every charcater seemingly as important to the next, no main character feels as if they have been thrown in there.

The people on the website keep telling you that DBZ is your favorite show, well, it isn't. Also, even if Toriyama meant to end DBZ at the Frieza saga, he didn't, and it was too late; it was then released in manga form, making it canon, then in anime form, all canon. Yes, DBGT was a stupid non-canon crappy tv show, but it still attracted more DB fanboys. Toriyama hadn't already made DBZ when he decided to end it at the frieza saga, he was planning on how he was going to begin it, by ending it at the frieza saga. He then decided to end it at the Uub saga. (Uub is the little kid with the mohawk who has anger issues).
