zizu scored althought they're saying that it was silvestre the last one touching the ball...

The stats are showing that Tudor (croatia)is the last one who touched the ball and score agaisnt his own team.

Yes...that's an usual thing by Italy lol...with the same ritual of being eliminated at penalty kicks...(see World Cup '94, '98...etc...)

Oh...btw...Totti did a very unsportive act...well...too bad...but i think he deserve to be banned for a while.

Yeah Italy have another habit of losing on penalties, which is the worst way too lose in any tournamnet match (well I used to think it was the worst way to lose, but then I watched England vs France, lol!) I remeber both of the Italians' losses in '94 vs Brazil and '98 vs France - both were terrible (especialy 94, it was the FINAL after all) but Italy did have the luck at Euro 2000, Holland missed 5 (!grin!) penalties over the course of the game and the penalty shootout. It was like they had lost the jinx, then it came back to haunt them in the final, where they were seconds from winning and it all collapsed (ala England '04.) Now that Totti's gone though, I have a feeling that they will do well, get to the semi's - then lose when he returns! Tomorrow's game vs. Sweden is massive...

Hey FLSTYLE, England are still alive!grin After the heartache of Sunday, it was good to see them win. It wasn't too convincing though, Switzerland were probably the better team in the first half. But England went in 1-0 at the break, then the Swiss player was sent off, so that relieved some of the tension. The second half was more of a formality, comfortable watching for all England fans! Not too pleased with Beckham's play so far (shouldn't he be used to this weather by now?) and Owen had been very disappointing. On the flip side, Rooney, Vassel, Campbell and Lampard have been paying very well, with Gerrard also having a good match today. Bring on the Croats...

damn right, the two full backs neville and cole have put two brilliant performances, defending and attacking, and with the France Croatia game 2 - 2 a draw will see us, but who cares about that, we're easily too good to lose to croatia, and we all know that their goals against France in the current match have come from France's mistakes, we won't make any more mistakes after the France game.

This is soooooooo true, I just hope they show it, and don't do what they did against Romania at Euro 2000. They needed the point to qualify for the QF's, but they went 2-1 up - then self-destructed (AGAIN! after the Portugal match in the same tournament) There are similarites to Euro 2000, so I hope game 3 doesn't pan out the same way it did at Euro 2000.

I hope England don't make any more silly mistakes, cus they will be punished if they do. But I was discussing the positvies (yes, there were a few!grin) from the France/England game - and we said that it may be the start England needed. It may spur them on for the rest of the tournament. I have a sneaky feeling that England will get revenge vs France in the final...

Well...in the match vs Holland in Euro 2000 it wasn't Italy to be lucky...we had a great goalkeeper....Francesco Toldo that is the number 12 in the current tournement. Buffon is great too! ;)

Yeah, I forgot about Toldo. Buffon is great though - and I think he is a little better, and u have another good 'keeper in Christian Abbiati - so u are lucky there! England has David Jamessad of course....

Today it's Italy vs Sweden (grin) and I think Italy will win (2-1) but Sweden beat Bulgaria 5-0, so u never know...

...and you forgot Angelo Peruzzi as good goalkeeper... :D he may look a bit fat and slow...but he got few goals in his career. wink

Well...if Italy won't win today's match...it will be hart to go to quarters of final. I hope Bulgaria will beat Denmark...

Does anyone know where I can find video clips from all the games besides euro2004.com because I think you have to pay to watch highlights on that site.

LMAOgrin that's funny, cus it's true. Too bad Peruzzi is no longer on the national team, but he was a great goalkeeper. If we naming good Italian 'keepers, what about Gianluca Pagliuca?? He was awesome...

If Italy draw they will still have a chance, and remember - they play Bulgaria next, and they are the weakest team in the group. So even if they lose, they still have a chance to qualify.....bad news is that even if they qualify for the QF's, they have to play either 1st or 2nd from Group D (that means one of the Czechs, Holland or Germany!!sad)

Not that I know but click this link:

http://soccernet.espn.go.com/euro2004/index?cc=5901

And then go to bottom corner (Black box) and click on Gamestats. There is a nice commentary track "LIVE".

Full time:

Italy 1

Sweden 1

Sorry ^*Jade*^ but Italy didn't win! BUT, they still have a chance to qualify cus Denamrk beat Bulgaria. So Denmark and Sweden have 4pts, Italy has 2pts and Bulgaria 0.

Sweden play Denamark next, so if either team wins that game, and Italy beats Bulgaria (and if they dont they dont deserve to be in the QF's grin) then Italy will play 1st place of GroupD.

What a sick goal Sweden scored though, that was a crazy backheel...

Damn....everytime we are so UNLUCKY! We played very good the first half...but why Trapattoni did't sobstitute Vieri?...i'm sorry for him but it wasn't his match...

Now if Denmark and Sweden draw we have to win scoring at least 2 or 3 goals! In other cases...we just need a victory......
