Why have character polls if the choices are not candidates for DLC? If those character polls were simply gags by Ed Boon, then he's graduated WAY past "Troll." That's just a shitty thing to do to your fans.

Lol, this is obviously fake. MM will be dlc for sure, in fact the other rumor for dlc characters was Lobo, MM, Red Hood, and Power girl. That rumor list at least seems very true and is based off an interview featuring Ed Boon.

Honestly I don't believe this to be true. Just Batgirl is pretty much a giveaway. Sure batgirl is my 1st favorite DC lady. but I really don't see her in this game.

You know it's not gonna be Cass Cain. DC prefers to pretend that version of Batgirl doesn't exist, and there's no way Ed's ever heard of her. She didn't even make it into the Arkham games, and those were made back when there was still an Oracle. And with all the Nu52 influence on this game's roster and artstyle?

Batgirl and Supergirl could easily made to be skins for Batman/Superman. They don't need to be separate characters. The DLC choices will most likely be the top community choices.

Umm, not really "easily". There's a lot more that goes into a remodel than a reskin. They'd have to redo a lot of animations to compensate for new bone structure and they'd have to record entirely new voices. It's just not anywhere near that simple. Hit-boxes would also be really awkward if left unchanged, due to the difference in model size.

I think Ed is a legitimate fan of DC. He's spoken about it plenty. I bet he knows of Cassandra. Regardless, you're right about DC basically wiping her out of existence... I don't understand it. There's a lot of reasons why I haven't started reading Nu52 yet.

Eh...I'll take it with a grain of salt at this point. Batgirl and zod seem unlikely to me and even scorpion seems like a bit of a stretch.

Ed is a fan of Silver Age DC. He specifically mentioned in an interview that Barry was Flash when he read comics and he was surprised to learn Wally had grown up and inherited it...and Wally was Flash from 1985 until 2010-ish, so...he's missed quite a bit.

He'd be familiar with anything current because he's working with DC now, but he probably isn't so up-to-speed on the 90's era characters the company's been trying to shove under the rug the past few years like all the non-Barbara Batgirls, Tim Drake, Connor Hawke...I'd add Kyle Rayner to that list of names but Kyle has always managed to avoid being killed off or overshadowed by Hal's return, thanks to the Corps' inherent "there's a whole army of them" core concept.

Scorpion is the only one that doesn't bother me. I know it's a DC only game, but Scorp is on the goddamn logo of the freaking company. So I really wouldn't be that surprised if we got an MK character.
